Title: Best WWE Women's Matches
Cage Classic - April 12, 2007 07:02 AM (GMT)
List some of your picks for the best WWE Women's Matches ever. At the top of my list, I'd probably throw up one of my personal favorites, Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus from Wrestlemania 22. That match was an awesome match, executed to damn-near perfection and a true gem.
dynamite kido - April 12, 2007 02:46 PM (GMT)
There are none.
Thank you.
eStragand - April 12, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
I dunno'... Sam Houston might've had one or two.
Howabout that match with Stacy and Trish where they tooked their pants off and shooked their asses and looked really hot omg my penus want that asth
SamoaRowe - April 12, 2007 05:01 PM (GMT)
Trish/Mickie was pretty awesome, botched finish aside.
Most Trish/Victoria matches were worthwhile.
I miss Trish.
whitemilesdavis - April 12, 2007 06:53 PM (GMT)
Melina vs. Mickie a few weeks ago, and anything involving Molly.
prof_plague - April 13, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Even though you can tell Trish is still green, the Trish/Jazz/Victoria Triple Threat match at WM 19 is rather good.
And the Raw main event from Jan. 2005 between Trish and Lita.

Nothing in the last decade has broken the *** barrier, so it's a waste of time to list a random average match.

Exactly.
Also, it's disturbing to me as to what people here find to be "good".
Mad Dog - April 13, 2007 10:25 PM (GMT)
There's only been a handful of good women's matches in the WWE and they all came at the hands of the Jumping Bomb Angels in the 80s. Look up the Royal Rumble 88 and the Angels vs. the Glamor Girls. A legit ***1/2 and it puts everything else from the current division to shame.
Cage Classic - April 14, 2007 05:54 AM (GMT)
How about some Bull Nakano/Alundra Blayze goodness?
Also, I honestly feel Trish/Mickie was a *** match. It had the emotion, the build, and they both had the prowess to put forth that good match.
Mad Dog - April 14, 2007 02:48 PM (GMT)
I should clear up what I said. I would put the Angels/Girls match up against about any of the male matches of that time frame in the WWF and say it holds it's own. It was also the match of the night as far as the Rumble went. They moved at a quick pace, they hit high impact offense and just in general looked competent. They were even breaking out moves that the men weren't using at the time.
Real F'n Show - April 14, 2007 03:48 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen a lot of the earlier stuff, or anything with the Jumping Bomb Angel's for that matter, but the 8-Woman at Survivor Series '95 was pretty kick ass at the time.
That Trish/Stephanie match from No Way Out some year that everyone always forgets about.
The Trish/Lita Raw Main Event was pretty great. The one where Lita almost kills herself on the tope.
I didn't mind the botched finish in Trish/Mickey at 'Mania 22. It made sense since Mickey had beaten the hell out of Trish's leg and it just gave out.
Cage Classic - April 15, 2007 06:28 AM (GMT)
Trish vs. Stephanie was amazing -- I was there live.

Those are two that I would consider good.
Especially since the SS match is basically AJW.
Vince is retarded for fucking up that deal. The reason why? According to Meltz it's because Vince was afraid they would overshadow the rest of the roster.....and he would've been right.

Bertha Faye (Monster Ripper/Rhonda Singh) (w/ Harvey Wippleman), Aja Kong, Lioness Asuka, & Tomoko Watanabe vs. WWF Women's Champion Alundra Blayze, Kyoko Inoue, Sakie Hasegawa, & Chaparita Asari

Mad Dog - April 15, 2007 07:55 PM (GMT)
It was really sad seeing Molly Holly in the WWE. She was just so far above everyone else as far as what she could do that she really was wasted there.
whitemilesdavis - April 15, 2007 11:53 PM (GMT)
totally agree Mad Dog, and I'm glad to see smeone else say it. She was one of the only competent women workers in the US like, ever, and was totally treated like garbage. I personally think it was a backlash from her high moral standards. It wasn't like she was unattractive either. Just a total waste.
Mad Dog - April 16, 2007 12:00 AM (GMT)
I still find her to be more attractive than most of the bimbos they have now.
prof_plague - April 16, 2007 01:31 AM (GMT)
I forgot to add Molly/Victoria from WM XX.
Cage Classic - April 16, 2007 05:37 AM (GMT)

Mmmmm...

... Wow, a three minute match with little hype, no story told, or an actual strong finish is your best women's match in WWE?
Ladies and Jerks of the jury, I rest my case.

Their match from Sunday Night Heat before the Royal Rumble was MUCH better.

Molly/Victoria at Vengeance 2004 was also pretty good.
I'll admit, I was disappointed by the WMXX match, sense it did have something of a feud going into it, as well as the stipulation of Molly losing her hair.
Scrooge McSuck - April 17, 2007 07:32 PM (GMT)
What scale are you going by? Describe pretty good, because no womens match in over a decade booked by WWE has been "pretty good."
Cage Classic - April 17, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
It's opinion vs. opinion, and I'd beg to differ...
dynamite kido - April 17, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
Well, I'd love to hear WHY they are good instead of "oh yeah, and that one's good too." because much like Scrooge, I'm not seeing it.
Scrooge McSuck - April 18, 2007 07:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah, bend over... I mean, uh... yeah. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a matter of "what scale is this very good on."
Joe Schmo - April 19, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
I would definantley have to say Trish Stratus vs Mickie James at WM23 for the womens title. This match was by far was one of the best womens matches I have seen.

My women's scale of pretty good is about ** - **1/2. And that's not me trying to be sexist or anything, it's just that women's matches (in WWE) are not that good.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)
Do you use the same scale as for men? Or is it like...
A ** Women's match is a *** male match. Or a *** Women's match is a ** male match?
SamoaRowe - April 19, 2007 01:30 PM (GMT)
I use the same scale.
** men's match = mediocre.
** women's match = pretty good.
I just don't expect much from the WWE divas.
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2007 01:31 PM (GMT)
So a "good" women's match translates into a so-so men match... makes enough sense for me.

Pretty much. The ratings scale might be the same, but my side comments might vary.

As long as you don't run... run so far away.

Do you have any idea how long it took me to get that song out of my head!!!! Now I'm ruined!!!
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2007 01:36 PM (GMT)
Actually, I have Space Age Love Song in my head, not I Ran...
And I ran... I ran so far awaaay.
Edit: You didn't say the joke right. You know, the "ruined" one. ;)
SamoaRowe - April 19, 2007 01:37 PM (GMT)
What, was I supposed to say "You've ruined my life for the last time!"
I thought you had a ® on that?
Scrooge McSuck - April 19, 2007 01:38 PM (GMT)
Yes... but I give you permission to use it.
Edit: I'll send you a copy of this CD along with the next bundle of crap I give you to recrap.
