| Newswire For Week Of December 5th!!! 12/5/04 ROH December 5th: ROH officials have ruled that Austin Aries will receive a World Title shot on 12/26 in Philadelphia at "Final Battle 2004" vs. ROH World Champion Samoa Joe. Aries and Low Ki fought to a 20 minute draw on 12/4 in a #1 contender's match. After the bout, Gary Michael Cappetta came to the ring and said that ROH management ruled that if the fans wanted five more minutes, then five more minutes would be added to the match. Aries agreed to wrestle more. Ki then asked the fans if they wanted it. The fans responded with a resounding yes. Ki then said he won't do what they want and walked out. ROH officials have ruled that since Aries stayed and Ki walked out on the fans that Aries would get the title shot. December 5th: Prince Nana said he will have a new and more dangerous Weapon Of MASK Destruction to take Jay Lethal out. It will be Lethal vs. WOMD #2 on 12/26. December 5th: A big match has been signed for 1/15 in Cambridge, MA. A grudge match will pit Austin Aries vs. the returning Colt Cabana. Aries and the rest of Generation Next put Cabana out on 8/28 in the Boston area and now Cabana wants revenge. December 5th: Bryan Danielson suffered an arm injury at the hands of all The Rottweilers after the Homicide match on 12/4. We'll have more on this tomorrow right here at ROHwrestling.com. December 7th: Spanky and ROH officials have been in negotiations and you can expect to see Spanky return to ROH in early 2005. December 7th: Prince Nana has his lawyers in constant contact with the ROH offices. Nana claims that Jimmy Rave's contract for the Pure Title match on 12/4 was violated when Nana was ejected from ringside. Nana claims that the only reason that Rave lost was because he wasn't there to give Rave moral support. Nana claims that Rave never would have been counted out if he was at ringside, as he thought he would be, to give Rave advice. We'll have more on this in the upcoming days. December 7th: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson did suffer an injured arm at the hands of The Rottweilers on 12/4, but he will be ready for his match vs. Low Ki on 12/26 at "Final Battle 2004" in Philadelphia. Danielson is more pissed off than ever before and there is no telling what will happen when he and Low Ki collide. One thing for sure is that it'll be a much different match than their classic on the 2nd ROH show way back on 3/30/02. December 7th: Xaiver was backstage at the 12/4 event. He is still rehabbing his shoulder and expects to return to ROH around the spring. December 8th: Mick Foley called the ROH offices extremely upset and angry at the words of Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat at the 12/4 event. Steamboat said that Foley lacked wrestling skill at "All Star Extravaganza II." Foley and Steamboat will come face-to-face for the first time since their explosive meetings at "Joe vs. Punk II" on 12/26 in Philadelphia. December 8th: Colt Cabana's Good Times, Great Memories will make its return on the 12/4 home release and his special guest is none other then Bobby "The Brain" Heenan! December 8th: On top of the injured arm, Bryan Danielson also suffered a busted eye at the hands of The Rottweilers last Saturday. December 8th: Low Ki is said to be infuriated at the decision of ROH officials to award Austin Aries the title shot that was stake in the 20 minute draw on 12/4. There is no telling what Ki will do on 12/26 as a result of this. Bryan Danielson is also infuriated at Low Ki and the rest of the Rottweilers. When Danielson and Ki clashed in 2002 it was a match based on respect. When Danielson and Ki lock up on 12/26 it will be a match based on rage. December 8th: Today is the last day of the 20% off sale if you order $75 or more of anything from ROHwrestling.com. It ends at 11pm tonight. This means EVERYTHING is on sale here at ROHwrestling.com including new DVDs like 10/2 "Midnight Express Reunion" (Bryan Danielson vs. Samoa Joe, Jim Cornette & all three members of The Midnight Express on the same side for the first time ever to face a huge surprise) and 10/15 "ROH Gold" (CM Punk, Ace Steel & Jimmy Jacobs vs. Austin Aries, Alex Shelley & Jack Evans, Mick Foley and Ricky Steamboat in their first face-to-face altercation). Let us make your holiday shopping fast and easy. December 8th: Full Impact Pro is back on 12/17 in Lakeland, FL with the Florida Rumble. The show will feature a royal rumble with wrestlers entering the ring one at a time in one minute intervals. The winner will receive a title shot that night against FIP Heavyweight Champion Homicide. The other matches will be determined by order of elimination so there is no telling what match up you'll see. Just signed to the rumble are: CM Punk & Azrieal of The New Dawn, Fast Eddie, Sal Rinauro, Mike Shane, Scoot Andrews and Eric Stevens. There will be one more main event name announced for the rumble this Monday. Check FullImpactPro.com for more info. December 8th: We have received a more detailed update on Jay & Mark Briscoe. Mark still has an injured shoulder from the motorcycle accident he was in. It is actually an old injury he suffered playing high school football and it has been re-aggravated. Jay knows how much it pains his brother not to be able to wrestle and refuses to return to action without him. In addition, Jay & Mark are extremely busy with their everyday lives. They will take time off now and return when things slow down in their personal lives and Mark's shoulder is back to normal. We do not have a timeframe, but do not anticipate it to be in the near future. ROH supports the Briscoes 100% and welcomes them back when they are ready. We miss you Jay & Mark!!! December 8th: More matches and news on Bobby Heenan and Jim Cornette will come later this week in the Newswire. Make sure to check ROHwrestling.com everyday. |
