Title: Shaving
Description: A question
Big F'N Swigg - January 22, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Has anyone here ever grown facial hair, kept it for a while and then regretted shaving it off? B/c I just shaved off my beard today, and I'm thinking it wasn't such a good idea. Anyone else have days like this?

No... actually, yes.
I was going threw a hippie stage, by growing long ass sideburns with the curves (porkchops?), which looked like "L"s, and coincidence, my first name starts with "L" so it was naturally stupid.
Then While, shaving, I accidentally shaved part of one of them off, so I tried to even them out and fucked up to the point I just shaved them off.
Also shaving off my mustache. With that and a beard, I look 30, without either of them I look 13.

Swiggy I can identify.....I've had facial hair since I've been able to grow it. But I know what you're saying, I haven't shaved my goatee in the last 7 years or so......that is not completely off.

Yeah, I shave and five minutes later my beard is coming back in. One of my friends in college used to ask me if I was in Blue Man Group because my face would be blue from ingrowing hair.

The only time I really wished I hadn't was when I had let it grow for awhile and then shaved it during a really really cold week. I thought I was going to die on my way to class the next day.

My girlfriend won't let me have a beard

Yeah, it's snowing outside. And I don't own a scarf.

No, That was just a massive BURN. Go sit in the corner, because you just got served, kid.

I typically just shave and let it grow out until I need to shave again (I can't let it go too long because I work in a deli on weekends).
My girlfriend likes it when I have a beard too, so I luck out.

My wife likes the way it looks, but hates the "scratching" that occurs.

Goes to sit in the corner with BBCW, contemplating a smoke (which I'm not allowed, in my own house, or my girlfriends)
Or in a pub, cinema or restaurant for that matter

Hehehehe, very nice. Fortunately I haven't had that problem yet, but I don't think she would mind (she isn't put off by any other annoying habit I have).

She doesn't mind stubble, but I was trying to grow a "Jericho."
