So I'm sittin' on the crapper, reading an old issue of "Pro Wrestling Illustarted" from June 1992. It has a pink cover that ranks the "Best of the Best, with an "analytical breakdown" of finishers.
Anyways, one article is an attempt at humor, detailing what would've happened to the PWI "computers" if the Michaelangelo virus had struck. Sort of an April Fools' column with exaggerations and other stuff-- like Eddie Gilbert accidentally setting the arena on fire and hosting a barbeque.
One zinger talks about Owen Hart and how the WWF wanted to prove he really was a "Rocket". So they launched him to the ring for an entrance. But, the launch went awry and Hart ended up flying across the ring and into the casket on the set of the "Funeral Parlor". Everyone thought Hart had died, but he popped up out of the casket and said something like "just barely missed it".
Considering how Hart died, 7 years later, that's eerie.
Yeah, I guess that is a bit unsettling :(
WOW, that is weird. I wonder if I have that issue laying around somewhere.
That's almost as weird as the SDvsRaw 2006 storyline where you blow-off a feud with Eddie Guerrero by stuffing him into a casket... especially if you're the Undertaker.
