I (finally) picked up Collection II, and I love it. Halloween and Halloween II are both awesome, and Last Caress and 138 are just fucking incredible. The other songs are good-great too, but damn, I'm loving this...

So, Disucss. Like the 'Fits? Hate? And did anything good come out of the Graves Era? I have "Dig Up Her Bones" on a comp CD, and I think it's okay....

I LOVE the Misfits. I will say that I'm fairly partial to Danzig, but Graves held his own as a vocalist. They're really nice guys too. A friend of mine interviewed them when I was in radio, and they agreed to play his wedding for free.

What era was that? Danzig? Hell, it'd be awesome any way. But tell me this, how does Only justify the M25 tour as an actual Misfits tour? Isnt it justhim, Ramone and Dez?

Danzig was the original vocalist.

And I don't think that the M25 tour is really a Misfits tour. Only just wants to do SOMETHING for the Misfits 25th year.

I would say that I recently became a fan of their's....as I actually hated them for years. I personally lean toward the Danzig years, but the Graves stuff is actually better than I thought it would ever be.

What are the odds of a real reunion? I know Danzig played with Doyle recently....

Why not? I mean, he played with Doyle, and that's Jerry's younger brother... It can't be THAT huge of a step... Hell, I'd like a Graves led Misfits... What about that? Could THAT happen>

I wish I could dig up some of the Jerry Only quotes I read on some punk site about the situation. It basically was a reporter asking him if he would ever play with Danzig again and him saying that Danzig wouldn't be able to sing......when the reporter said why not, he answered with something like, " You can sing if your jaw is broken and you have no teeth", type comment. I do think the Graves thing maybe being a possibility though......

Okay, while we're on subject, good grave's era songs?

By the way LFV....check out George Romero's Bruiser....there is a Graves era Misfits playing at the club at the end of the movie. They even do a Night of the Living Dead esc, video for the single that's a bonus on the DVD.

Awesome... I've actually talked to someone who I think wasn't lying in his claim to be Michael (is that pernounsed liek Micheal or as ina girls type name, as in mary kates full house character?) Graves... He was a pretty cool dude...

Well, Graves is a republican. Ask him about his political views and see what he says.

And no, you'll NEVER see a reunion of the original Misfits. Even if you COULD get Jerry Only to agree to it, Danzig would never do it.

But if Danzig wouldn't do it, why did he agree to play a Misfits set with Doyle recently? Wishful thinking on my part, I guess, but It'd be hella cool to see ANY incarnation of the 'Fits live...
