I would say that this was bound to happen, as Madden is employed by Disney owned ABC, and Disney owns ESPN as well, but this paragraph throws that for a loop:

It's ok, anyhow, as ESPN really fucked up the 2K series, IMO.
They did, but Madden always owned 2K anyway....
The fanboys for the 2k games always irritated me and still do with the way they're whining about this.
The 2K games were glitchy pieces of crap and they were playing with fire selling them for $20.
I've actually thought that Madden has been a bit too cartoony in the past few years, which is why I've played 2K.
I wouldn't start a fistfight over it, though, as it's just a damn video game.
