Timmy8271 - December 16, 2006 08:17 PM (GMT)
Eh you could probably do a better one than me Scrooge. This is on WWE 24/7 right?
Scrooge McSuck - December 17, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
Eh, I'm not one to steal someone elses thunder. (reads review) My opinions exactly.
P.S. Dr. Death rules.
SamoaRowe - December 17, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
I don't know, Scrooge, there was that instance when we posted Backlash 2005 reviews at almost the same time B)
Good review, Timmy, glad to see you're back.
Scrooge McSuck - December 17, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
But you already reviewed it the day after as a live report. :D

Bah, Scrooge is right! But my formal review waited for several months because I didn't want me having been there to bias my ratings... which it did anyway.
Scrooge McSuck - December 17, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah... Kane/Vis was **?!? Are you insane...o!?

I stand by my ** rating for that, as it was well booked and appropriately short B)
Though if I want to be very honest, you should probably subtract 1/2* from each of my ratings to get what I probably would have thought if I'd only seen it on television.
Scrooge McSuck - December 17, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
*1/2?! You crazy, man! :P

Yes, I would stoop so low as to give a Viscera match a rating of poor rather than a DUD. I'll go check myself into an asylum.

Finally watched this on WWE 24/7 tonight. But I got jobbed!!! Jason Hervey was there briefly, but they editted out those clips of the Wonder Years!! Boo! us want justice!
Liked how Dusty was smacking Animal's leg with a "Steel chair" (plastic) and clearly MISSING the leg each time, due to the shape of the chair.
Loved the main event, but you left out the part about JJ's shoe becoming involved in the finish. I don't blame ya', though...the cameras totally missed it and we had to rely on commentary to pick up what had happened.
Also, I think this was an early part of Ron Simmons' eventual heel turn in 1989. He had been teaming up with good guys for months and couldn't get a break. His partners kept losing or else he never got to tag in. I think Simmons eventually punked out someone (I wanna' say Ranger Ross) around August '89 and joined up with the Iron Sheik. The angle went nowhere, of course.
