Title: What do you favor?

Do you feel as if TNA has gotten better with their booking since the Dust took over, or was it better before?

Discuss.

Dusty seems to have streamlined all the storylines. Everything seems simple and to have a direction which they've needed for a long time now. I also like his Impact forumla as it now has the right mix of squash matches and competitive matches.

Sadly I really haven't caught much TNA recently, so I gotta pleade the fifth...

Scrooge McSuck - January 18, 2005 01:03 AM (GMT)
From what I've seen and read, I would say much better. Dirty Dutch and his theory that 50 year olds watch wrestling almost killed TNA. At least accoridng to reports, the shows sound watchable and entertaining.

I like Dusty's way better SO FAR. But I would have to agree with MD on this one as Impact actually comes across as a show with some focus, unlike before he took over.

The other thing I like is that Dusty has somehow convinced the Outsiders that they're only there to put over the young guys.

EDIT: He's also managed to push his son in a very inoffensive way so far.

Honestly, I hope the company has expressed to Hall/Nash that if they don't wanna job.....they are free to leave. Seriously, if they are not there to put over talent.....then there is no purpose to even have them there.

Dusty Rhodes - Proves you can still grow a brain at the age of retirement.

I wouldn't go that far....he's hasn't been here long enough yet. He could still sell his left over brains for a 1978 Ford pickup truck if you get my drift.

Dusty's 80s run as booker of the NWA had it's positive aspects. The man did come up with the concept of war games afterall.

But he came up with every horrible non-finish ever created... almost.

It did have it's positives, but not without incredible negatives.......

I tend to forget since the McMahons have taken it to a whole new level since 2001.

Man just think if they could lure Pat Paterson in. Dusty booking with Paterson helping with match layouts.

dynamite kido - January 18, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
That would be pretty good actually, too bad with the Patterson/McMahon relationship though I wouldn't trust it at all. He could totally be a mole....or at least he could in the horribly paranoid world of professional wrestling.

whitemilesdavis - January 18, 2005 01:39 PM (GMT)
I think TNA has shown a lot more promise since Dusty took the book. I hope it isn't too little too late.

Same here.....unfortunately that has nothing to do with how good the wrestling is, or even who the booker is. It will last as long as Panda Energy allows it....

I'm with everyone else on this board, as Dusty has obviously been a suprisingly positive force on TNA. My only qualm so far is the decision to keep JJ on top, but I doubt he could have changed that even if he wanted to.
