Real F'n Show - November 6, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
Dolphins beat the Bears?!?

Hopefully my Pats can dispose of the Colts tonight and all will be well...

The worst defensive team in the league, my 49ers, beat the Vikings 9-3.

From the Pittsburgh Coroner's Office:

QUOTE
At 7:11 pm EST, Pittsburgh Steelers 2006 Season was officially announced as dead. At this time, the cause of death is believed to be turnovers or overconfidence. Foul play has not been ruled out, as returner Santonio Holmes and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have been identified as "persons of interest" by the Allegheny County Police. Pittsburgh Steelers 2006 Season was two months old.

Funeral services were held immediately, with pastor Javon Walker presiding. In leiu of flowers, the family of Pittsburgh Steelers 2006 Season is asking that donations be made to the 2005 Season Memorial Fund. Established in February 2006, the 2005 Season Memorial Fund is heavily involved in creating bobbleheads, Iron City beer cans and commemorative t-shirts for the upcoming 10th anniversary of the 2005 Season, in 2015.

Wow, that saddens me.

Don't worry though E, I may not be psychic, but I'm sure we'll be seeing one of these coming Denver's way this year as well. Because they are half as good as people claim.

From the guy who predicted, of the World Series, "this should be a cakewalk for Detroit". :)

You can say that the end is coming for 28 other teams and that statement would hold true (I'll exclude Arizona from that number, since along with the Steelers, they're the only other team that's essentially been eliminated).

The weird thing about the NFL is that over the past 10 years, the best regular season team has only won the Super Bowl two times (Rams in 99 and Broncos in 98). Other than that, the Super Bowl winner has looked painfuly ordinary in early November.

My favorite part of the Steelers fallout was Willie Parker saying something like: "we're a great team that's 2-6". The thing is, the Steelers don't have to do DOODLY for their rest of their lives and they'll be just as happy as ever. They'll walk around for the next 50 years and be able to get free blowjobs anywhere in Pittsburgh (even some from women). Pittsburgh lived in the 70's until 1992, so they'll live in 2005 until 2025 at least.
