Title: OAO TV Thread: November
Real F'n Show - November 6, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
Insert Mad Dog's trademark smiley here.
SamoaRowe - November 7, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
I don't know, it seems like all the shows are in a quality slump right now... but then again, I keep missing Smackdown due to work.
Mad Dog - November 7, 2006 12:12 PM (GMT)
You'll be hearing from my lawyers over that trademark violation.
Anyways, I'd like to see someone defend Flair and Piper going over Edge last night.
SamoaRowe - November 7, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Nah, it was pretty inexcusable. Orton and Edge should have taken the tag titles.
eStragand - November 7, 2006 06:44 PM (GMT)
Someone defend Big Dick Johnson. I only caught the last 20 minutes, but Big Dick rubbing his crotch on Bischoff's nose was THE gayest thing since a Rick Martel training video. I could maybe understand the "nose/lips to the ass" move once...but they've been repeating the spot for a few years now. That's disturbing.
I believe crap like last night's main event is, in fact, the WWE's business plan. Dorks like me will think "hey neato! Piper and Flair" and tune in. Then we get Big Dick Johnson. So the joke's on me. The only thing this was missing was Vince McMahon's on-air commentary of "Ha ha haaaaaa!""
SamoaRowe - November 7, 2006 06:53 PM (GMT)
No, Big Dick Johnson needs to keep his clothes on and stay off television. He was funny that first time on ECW when the Sandman destroyed him, but that was even unnecessary.
eStragand - November 8, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Forgot to mention that I chuckled at Jim Ross channelling the spirit of David Crockett. "C'mon Roddy! Just a little further!! You can do it, Roddy!"
SamoaRowe - November 8, 2006 12:07 AM (GMT)
All of the guys in the audience should be jeering when DX comes out. Statistics note that the chances of naked man ass being visible greatly go up when their segments are on.
whitemilesdavis - November 8, 2006 12:26 AM (GMT)
Last night's RAW was nearly unwatchable. My favorite thing of the whole show was the Samoan Drop on Maria. I was hoping for the full scale crippling like he put on the strippers a couple of years back, but he took it easy.
SamoaRowe - November 8, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
The highlight of the night for me was actually also the Umaga segment, followed by Cena's promo.
dynamite kido - November 8, 2006 02:57 PM (GMT)
Cena's promos as of late have been pretty damn good if you ask me.
whitemilesdavis - November 8, 2006 03:05 PM (GMT)
That promo Monday was like the classic white-meat babyface promo. The fact that he got it over is pretty impressive.

The funny thing is that K-Fed is actually getting Cena more over as a face.
whitemilesdavis - November 8, 2006 03:11 PM (GMT)
That's true.
Don't know how much heat K-fed will have without Britney though. Could make for a funny Cena promo though.

He'll still have the same heat. Shit, people hate him because he's a fucking freeloader, not because they hate Britney. This will just give the fans more ammo to fire back at him.
whitemilesdavis - November 8, 2006 03:19 PM (GMT)
If they did an angle where he hooked up with Maria, that would be gold. Think of the sympathy her character would garner. Add to that some K-fed promos where he talks about taking her money the same way he took Britney's, and you may have some old-fashioned mark riots.

Dude, I gotta give it to you on that one. Fucking Gold.
whitemilesdavis - November 8, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
I can't think of a good way to payoff the angle though. There would obviously be no great match involved. The obvious resolution would be either Cena rescuing her, or Maria turning heel on Cena in the end. Definitely think it could be a fun angle though.
Mad Dog - November 8, 2006 06:20 PM (GMT)
The obvious payoff is K-Fed winning every Raw, Smackdown, ECW, OVW and Deep South title on the same night.

Payoff is easy. Don't let Cena get ahold of him until the end. Payoff comes in the form of a good ol bludgening.

| Ummm...Ok, that works. |
Just do a gauntlet style match. He'd win all the tag titles in handicap matches of course.
TheGreatWhiteChoate - November 9, 2006 03:07 AM (GMT)
I just want to see him get flattened by Cena at the end. I'm talking an uncomfortably silent, 15 minute ass beating where K-Fed gets taken to the hospital afterwards.
SamoaRowe - November 14, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
Tonight's Raw was quite eventful. We have new tag team champions and a new Intercontinental Champion.

Yet it was still a rather boring show.
SamoaRowe - November 14, 2006 03:47 PM (GMT)
Actually I didn't find it as boring as it had been recently, and by that I mean I didn't fall asleep before it was over.

Not to mention in part with the slapstick angles by DX.
Mad Dog - November 14, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
You know. Sometimes I think Raw can't get any worse. And they always find a way to prove me wrong.
dynamite kido - November 14, 2006 08:35 PM (GMT)
At this point Raw fucking needs K-Fed.
SamoaRowe - November 14, 2006 09:05 PM (GMT)
Actually, some of the DX segments were pretty funny last night. My favorite was when Eugene knocks on the door, asking for the bounty, so Triple H hands him a wrap of paper towels. The other great part was when Chris Masters was waiting for Triple H in the bathroom, and Shawn Michaels proclaimed that he had crapped out a "Masterpiece."
Big F'N Swigg - November 14, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
I found the Eugene part hilarious. It was actual comedy.
Scrooge McSuck - November 15, 2006 02:06 PM (GMT)
I'm probably alone in this, but Mike Knox isn't as bad as a worker as I initially thought he was.
The rest of Velocity Jr. sucked major ass.

Sir, I know comedy...and that was not comedy.
RAW sucked big time.
SamoaRowe - November 15, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
Knox has performed well in his matches against CM Punk and in those tag matches with Test against Dreamer and Sandman. His jealous boyfriend character is a part he plays well too. He had a slow start, but Knox seems to be improving, and he is one of the few additions to the ECW roster who actually feels like an ECW guy.

Are you kidding me? That was a perfect example of classic comedy. It's like they pulled it out of Red Skelton or Looney Tunes. Shutting the door in his face when he throws the punch, him tackling the table instead of them, and even the lame Bounty joke.
It was good.
Real F'n Show - November 15, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
I liked ECW last night. Maybe because it was the first time I've watched it in forever, but I still thought it was pretty great. I'm liking the additions of Burke/Terkay, Daivari/Khali, and Lashley.

I guess sometimes "classic" comedy, can be "classic" because it has been done for years and is no longer funny. Not to me anyway. The Bounty thing would have been funny had I picked up on it the first time, but Eugene's blubbering idiot act caused me not to understand what he said.
Plus, what happened to "Violent Retard" Eugene? I like him much better.
Big F'N Swigg - November 15, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
I actualy call it "classic" because it's good slapstick, IMO. The kind of comedy I was raised on.
whitemilesdavis - November 16, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
Colcollazo - November 16, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
I would prefer Lashley on Smackdown but as long as he's not being depushed, it'll work.
