Shinya Hashimoto vs. Lord Steven Regal
This is from sometime in 1995, and really really good. Regal is really fucking good at busting up Hash's nose, and then working it over, rubbing his forearm and wrist all over it on pin attempts. Hash's kick flurries really whip the crowd into a frenzy, too. Stiff as hell wrestling from two of the best.
Terry Funk vs. Eddie Guerrero
From 1989, with a young Eddie wearing yellow trunks and white boots. This is right after Funk piledrove Flair on the table I believe. Funk gives Eddie a lot of offense including a nice headscissors and plancha. Eventually Funk piledrives Eddie on the floor to lots of heel heat and drops a knee on him back in the ring for the 3.

Let's see: This is just some of the wrestling i watched.
Octagon, La Parka, Rey Jr. and Santo vs Blue Panther, Psicosis, Pentagon and Fuerza Guerrera AAA 95
Good match. All 8 are on the top of there game so you know they will go balls out. This is during Rey Jr.'s great run.
The Squashes thread on DVDVR. I hope you all got to see this thread. I have become a fan of the Headshrinkers for just the brutality they bring to matches.

I just watched this too. Liked it a lot like most AAA from the time period. There was a match a month or so earlier that I also got from DVDVR with Winner's in it instead of La Parka that I liked even better.

Watched the story on the Pillman DVD last night. Pretty good stuff overall. The extra's have some pretty good stuff as well, although I haven't gotten to any of the matches yet.

Watched NITRO from 10/6/96. Still in the early nWo days, as they beat the tar out of Randy Savage and "own" Miss Elizabeth. The previous week, Liz signed some magical contract that tied her to the nWo. Really creepy to see Hogan gloating on the house mike about how he "owns (her) body, heart and soul". Considering the rumors regarding Hogan and Liz, and how he always seemed to treat her differently...it's really disturbing. I'm sure he had his Lil' Hulkster taped up that night.
For a finale', the new Hollywood Hogan nWo Monster Truck (with Syxx in the passenger's window) rolls out to "destroy the broadcast booth!". The show ends before we can see any destruction, though. That's what wrestling needs...more MONSTER TRUCKS. There's never been a bad angle involving MONSTER TRUCKS.
There's also a semi-main event return match with Rick Steiner vs. Chris Benoit. A mild feud they had, involving outside interference. Steiner gets the pin after bulldogging Benoit onto Mongo's Haliburton briefcase.
This show also marked the end of Public Enemy's abbreviated push. Two weeks earlier, they had won the tag titles from Harlem Heat and a PE vs. Outsiders match was scheduled for Halloween Havoc. They were actually over fairly well with the crowd and looked like they had grabbed a small portion of their ECW popularity. But we see clips from "WCW Saturday Night", where PE dropped the belts back to Harlem Heat and here on NITRO, they lose in a non-title match. A screwy ending with Colonel Parker and Sherri getting involved. From this point on, PE were pretty much Jobbers-to-the-Stars.
