Title: Cory Lidle Dead

ESPNObviously what's really sad here is that four people died total, not just Cory Lidle. But I guess sometimes having the name attached makes these things seem even sadder.
R.I.P.

Wow, that was totally out of nowhere. RIP.

Yeah, tha whole plane crash thing took a really odd turn with that.

Latest is that Lidle's family will miss out on any insurance if it turns out that he was the pilot. I guess there's a clause in the MLB insurance policy that specifically excludes paying out benefits if a player was the pilot.
Plane crash as a passenger is okay...just not as the PILOT. Weird.

It makes sense. It would be his fault if he was the pilot plus it would be considered risky behavior.

Come on, that's a stupid contract clause... How many ball players have died in plane crashes in the last 25 years? 1? Seems like a very weird stipulation to get out of paying someone.
RIP Lidle.
On another note... how many people even remebered he was a replacement player during the '94 strike? 2?
