According to Dave Meltzer @ WrestlingObserver.com, Erik Watts reportedly attempted suicide this past Sunday with an apparent overdose. There is no word at this time how it affects tomorrow nights TNA Final Resolution PPV in Orlando as Watts is scheduled to face Raven.

Talk of what Watts did this past weekend was said to be a major topic of discussion within the TNA office and it remains to be seen if he does end up working the PPV tomorrow. If he does, many in the company hope the crowd don't go too far in terms of messing with the wrestlers during the shows given his current state. This situation is among the many reported drug problems TNA is having with its stars at this time and some fear nothing is being done to change that.

Holy crap... I'm no big fan of Erik Watts, but what went wrong to make him do something like this? This probably isn't a popular opinion, but I wouldn't put him on a PPV in the state of mind he's in right now.

I wouldn't put him on either.

If the drug problem in TNA is as bad as it seems, then they need to lockdown.

I'd do a lot of drugs if I were in TNA, too. All kidding aside, when you have your champion caught with a crack pipe in an AIRPORT, and you may have to change your card because of 2 of the guys on your roster have seperate drug-related problems, yeah, maybe it would be a good call to um, crack down on things.

Wait, champ caught with a crack pipe at an airport? Jarrett? Did I miss something?

Scrooge McSuck - January 17, 2005 05:32 AM (GMT)
A few months back, airport security searched through Jeff Jarrett's luggage and came across device used to smoke crack. Nothing came out of it, although it sounds pretty bad.

Damn. I can't believe I missed that. And I seriously wouldn't peg JJ for that type of activity. Oh well.

It's also been said that this was apparently a rib on him from one of the boys. I never heard if they found out anymore info to see who did it, or if it was just a rumor or not.
