So, iMPACT is again underwhelming, and I don't know if it's just me or what.
Big F'N Swigg - October 13, 2006 01:44 PM (GMT)
so Impact did absolutely NOTHING for me last night. Absolutely Nothing.
Real F'n Show - October 13, 2006 02:28 PM (GMT)
I wanted to watch it but missed it. Ladder match sucked?
Big F'N Swigg - October 13, 2006 03:02 PM (GMT)
It wasn't bad, but it was for "possesion" of the title, not for the title. No real purpose.
SamoaRowe - October 13, 2006 04:03 PM (GMT)
It might be because it's the first time I've seen Impact in a few weeks, but I enjoyed it.
The ladder match was alright, though as previously said, there was no real purpose since it wasn't for the actual title.
I liked the LAX/Styles and Daniels brawl.
The eight man tag was okay for what it was, but they didn't need Nash burying the X-Division like that.
Big F'N Swigg - October 13, 2006 05:17 PM (GMT)
The LAX angle was definitely the highlight of the show
dynamite kido - October 13, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
I thought this was a really strong show this week.
TNA seems to be a bit more focused on what the entire roster is doing.
SamoaRowe - October 20, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Wow, that Joe/Angle encounter was freaking surreal. I had to love the crowd's reaction to Angle's initial head-butt, that was simply classic.
I only caught the second half of the show. The eight man tag was meh, but I enjoyed LAX beating down on AMW and Gail Kim afterwards.
whitemilesdavis - October 20, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
Well, we officially have a "Greatest Moment in TNA History".
Yeah, that was incredible.
dynamite kido - October 20, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
I can't wait to check out that confrontation. I read the spoilers and it's sounds pretty damn cool.
I DVR'd it so I'll probably watch it later today.

No argument here... until Scrooge shows up later on. :P
whitemilesdavis - October 20, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
Scrooge can't even argue this. Funny though, Angle and Joe are his two "most overrated" guys.

What's funnier?
He doesn't think Hogan or Kane are.
Mad Dog - October 21, 2006 09:58 AM (GMT)
And you better believe that stare down is on the Best of 2006 set.

I agree with that 100%.
The show was rather bland I thought, but that made it worthwhile.
Big F'N Swigg - October 27, 2006 03:52 AM (GMT)
So the Reverse Battle Royal isn't bad for an indy fed, but I pray I never see one on National TV again.
And this Impact is definitely disappointing

As much as I've enjoyed TNA lately.....that Battle Royal was fucking retarded.
SamoaRowe - October 27, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
Ah, I actually liked the reverse battle royal. In fact, I didn't mind last night's Impact one bit.
Big F'N Swigg - October 27, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Like I said, I think it would work for a small indy promotion, but on TV you see things like Christopher Daniels standing by himself and not even trying to climb onto the apron
SamoaRowe - October 27, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
Haha, that's pretty funny, I didn't notice that, even though I was looking out for examples of that while watching it.
Still, I feel like if it had just been your basic ordinary battle royal, there would be just as much bitching throughout the smark community for doing something that's been done so many times before. I mean, they could have just set up the random tournament, but it was more interesting this way.
Big F'N Swigg - October 27, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
I do think it's better than a regular battle royal. But I think they've got enough storylines in place that they didn't need to determine a no. 1 contender.
Mad Dog - October 27, 2006 03:34 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen the whole show yet but I thought the Jeff Jarrett interview was really good. Like best interview of his career good.
Big F'N Swigg - October 27, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
I was proud of him for that. It shows that he can be understated and calm

Suggested Battle Royal stipulations for TNA:
-The Second Rope/Second Chance Battle Royal! Toss your man out between the second and third ropes and he'll be sent to the balcony above the Impact zone! There, he has to wait until at least three more wrestlers are added. When it gets to 4 or more, the first one to put someone through a table gets an invite back to original battle royal.
-The Make a Tag-Team Battle Royal! Depending on which side of the ring the guy is thrown out. Guys thrown out on the opposite side of the camera are one team. Guys thrown out on the camera side are another team. When everyone's thrown out, we have TWO giant tag teams on each side! Fans, it could be 19 on 1..or 10 on 10!!! Then everyone competes in an elimination tag match! OR..you could make it Six Sides of Stupidty...and form SIX tag teams!
-The Limo Battle Royal! A limo pulls up in the backstage area of the Impact Zone! Everyone starts in the ring and the first guy to make it through the sunroof into the limo, WINS!
-The Main Event GabFest Battle Royal! Everyone comes out to listen to Jim Cornette and Jeff Jarrett recite new stipulations for TNA. Last wrestler not bored out of his skull WINS!
-The Ultimate X Battle Royal. Everyone starts out on the overhead cables. Wrestlers are eliminated when they fall to the mat. Last man hanging WINS!
