Title: OAO PPV Thread: October

Mad Dog - October 1, 2006 01:32 AM (GMT)
Trying this since there are 2 PPVs this month.

SamoaRowe - October 1, 2006 02:28 AM (GMT)
Haha, I have no intention of ordering either one, though No Mercy has my curiosity.

Mad Dog - October 5, 2006 08:08 PM (GMT)
No Mercy card:

World Heavyweight Title Match:
Booker T © vs. Bobby Lashley

United States Title Match:
Mr. Kennedy © vs. Undertaker

Rey Misterio vs. Chavo Guerrero

Cruiserweight Title Match:
Gregory Helms © vs. Matt Hardy

WWE Tag Team Title Match:
London and Kendrick © vs. Aaron Idol and KC James

Real F'n Show - October 5, 2006 08:10 PM (GMT)
Actually it's now Booker vs. Lashley vs. Batista vs. Finlay for the title...

Mad Dog - October 5, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
Ah, the WWE website didn't have that listed...

still don't care.

Real F'n Show - October 5, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
I would've preferred the two singles matches, really. Decent looking card though, although Smackdown's cards always LOOK decent.

Mad Dog - October 5, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
It's just dumb though. Is the Undertaker really going to win the U.S. Title while slumming? That match just screams for a screwjob ending.

Yeah, I'm thinking we'll find out who Undertaker's next fued is going to be judging from the run in.

It's going to be the return of Khali.

Real F'n Show - October 6, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
Isn't Kane rumored to be heading to Smackdown? Maybe he'll be involved in some way...

dynamite kido - October 6, 2006 05:03 AM (GMT)
The sad thing is I wouldn't doubt it if either one/both of those things were going to happen.

smkelly13 - October 9, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
Wow. WWE has seemed to change directions now, from not making sense to not giving a damn.

Real F'n Show - October 9, 2006 04:33 AM (GMT)
At least Benoit is back.

And apparently Regal's penis was shown on PPV.

whitemilesdavis - October 9, 2006 03:36 PM (GMT)
Well, at least the age-old question will finally be put to bed:
Is William Regal's talley-whacker a PPV draw?

If the buy rate for this show comes back strong, expect Regal's dong to get a major push. The dong will be taking the spot now occupied by Little Bastard, or possibly the Shaleighly. There may even be plans to have the dong play a major part in Booker's court, possibly as a cane for Booker.

If the buy rate comes back low, Dong will be depushed, most likely being sent down to OWV for more training. There is said to be interest in Wiliam Regal's penis from TNA. Apparently TNA thinks the visual similarites between the schlong and Kurt Angle are enough to carry a fued. I can neither confirm or deny this report.

S.T. Strickler - October 9, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
I didn't order No Mercy, so what exactly happened with Regal?

He was wearing a towel in the locker area, and accidently flashed his johnson. Someone at TSM was polite enough to post a picture of it.

WWE apologizes
Oct. 9, 2006

World Wrestling Entertainment would like to apologize to anyone who watched WWE No Mercy and was offended by the William Regal locker room incident. Conduct of this kind is unacceptable in a family-friendly environment, and WWE accepts full responsibility. Nudity of any kind, even in a live television environment, is offensive to our audience and to the reputation of our company.

whitemilesdavis - October 10, 2006 12:03 AM (GMT)
I hope this whole thing blows up in Vince's face.

Okay, so the bare asses of Big Show, Coach, and five midgets are okay, but when Regal's dong is all over tv on accident, they apologize? I mean, I know why it was potentially more offensive being frontal nudity, but for WWE to claim that nudity is offensive and reflects their company poorly while at the same time they're promoting a strip poker segment for ECW and Mr. McMahon rourtinely bares his ass on tv to force someone to kiss it, is just plain silly.

Mad Dog - October 10, 2006 01:34 PM (GMT)
So I totally forgot about this PPV until I went looking for Impact Spoilers last night.

Not to mention showing an elderly woman's breasts on live PPV...

I was still interested in No Mercy even after not watching any WWE TV for about three weeks. And I enjoyed it from top to bottom. It just got ridiculous as it went on, as everything was good. Hardy/Helms was a sick opener, I enjoyed the tag match eventhough the challengers weren't really entertaining, Taker/Kennedy was just a great little match, same goes for Benoit/Regal which was the best of the night and the main event was another really good match too. I didn't watch the MVP match or Rey/Chavo though. No Mercy was definately the most consistant ppv they've done in a long time.
