Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
Anyone buy?

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 01:34 AM (GMT)
Nope. I honestly have no idea of the card other than Joe/Jarrett. Which is non title. On fucking PPV.

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
So far...

Eric Young d. A-1
Cornette being happy about the announcement
Jay Lethal d. Petey Williams
-----note- Lethal defeated Williams with the help of a laxative.
Rhino interview
Abyss d. Brother Runt & Raven in NO DQ match.
Jarrett interview
The Naturals win Tag Team Battle Royal.
-----note: James Gang were eliminated in controversial fashion. The Naturals are now #1 contenders

The Big Announcement is going on last, and it involves someone not scheduled during the show. TNA is apparently making a HUGE effort to keep it under wraps

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
Unless it's Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, or The Rock, this is going to be a HUGE disappointment...

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
Senshi d. Sabin to retain the title.
-----During the match, Dutt and Lethal ran in. Lethal distracted the ref while Dutt rolled Sabin out of the ring and replaced him with a blow up doll. No joke. Senshi hit the double stomp on the blow up doll. No joke. The crowd chanted "This is Stupid".

Christian cuts a promo on Rhino. Borash mentions Sting, so Sting has nothing to do with the announcement.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 01:56 AM (GMT)
Wow, that is stupid.

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
No kidding.

Update on the TNA announcement

TNA is teasing that the big announcement on tonight's show will be delivered by a wrestler who is not on the show. I guess the tease is to make you think a new star coming in. I'm also told the appearance of whomever this person is will be the final thing on the show.

Backstage reports are that several of the originally planned finishes have been changed.

The latest is that only seven people know, all of whom signed confidentiality agreements. Backstage the rest are under the impression that it is a wrestler, and that all seven who do know are very excited about it and say it will not be a letdown. It is doubtful the person will be brought to the building until the last minute, as they are obsessed with this information not getting out.

One would suspect, if it's talent, the only names that could possibly fit in this category would seem to be Bill Goldberg (who TNA has been negotiating with), Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho or possibly Chris Benoit. It also isn't necessarily talent, and I don't see it being Vince Russo based on reaction.

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 02:14 AM (GMT)
Benoit? Isn't he under contract with WWE still?

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:15 AM (GMT)
No idea...

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 02:17 AM (GMT)
Cage d. Rhino
---They play up Rhino having a concussion

Mike Tenay announced that a car pulled up at the Impact Zone and they went outside to Jeremy Borash.  Eric Young appeared, saying he knew it had to be Sting's car.  They went to investigate but it was LAX's car. They questioned him and Young said he didn't realize they were trying to steal this car.  That was priceless.  Konnan shoved him away and said that AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were going to get the fight they wanted.  He said that they better pray a fire breaks out because LAX is going to end it all tonight.  He said that LAX would lead the Latino revolution. Great promo from the Freebirds of 2006.

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
That Christian/Rhino match sounds really good. I'm holding off on this one. I always buy the replay if I buy a show. If the last 2 matches delivery like they should and the announcement is good I'll buy the Tuesday replay.

I'm expecting the Rock, Chris Jericho or Chris Benoit with the way they're acting. The way they've been acting with not letting anyone know makes me believe that this really is a huge deal.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
The FREEBIRDS of 2006? I'm guessing you got that from the Torch...

PWInsider

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
Sounds like this might be a replay buy unless something horrible happens in the next 20 minutes.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:44 AM (GMT)
What's happened since the X-title match?

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 02:45 AM (GMT)
AJ & Daniels over LAX to win the tag titles

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
Joe pinned Jarrett clean.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:51 AM (GMT)
Holy shit...

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:52 AM (GMT)
PWInsider just crashed.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
It's...(scroll down if you want to know the surprise...)

Kurt Angle. Awesome.

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:54 AM (GMT)
I really wish Angle would just retire. Can't blame companies for offering him a job. He just needs to stop though.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
So...

the MMA press release by Angle's "representatives" was a SWERVE~!

Russo lives!

I'm speechless

Gotta love the iMPACT! mouthguard...

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
This move might slow him ending up in a wheelchair. But he's going to end up a cripple unless he stops now.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
I didn't even notice the new timeslot...

Big F'N Swigg - September 25, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
wow, just wow

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 05:17 AM (GMT)
Gotta love DVDVR. They can't just discuss his problems. They have to totally play this off like it's a nothing piece of news. And of course RoHbot Michrome has to whine that TNA is killing Samoa Joe after he pins Jarrett cleanly.

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 08:33 AM (GMT)
Man, TNA might do a big rating on Thursday. This announcement freaking broke DVDVR, PWI, TNAwrestling and several other sites.

I saw the video while TNA had it on youtube. Awesome video.

dynamite kido - September 25, 2006 01:16 PM (GMT)
Goddamn Angle?!?!?!?!

I heard about this last night and I'm still shocked. TNA is the fucking shit for pulling this off.

Also, those that are really worried about Angle's health......I'm sure this won't be too bad for him as his schedule will be WAAAAAAAAY lighter.

Plus, now I wanna still hear people's excuses of why TNA STILL isn't competition for the WWE in anyway. Especially with the primetime TV slot.

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 02:59 PM (GMT)

SamoaRowe - September 25, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
It's surreal to think that Angle is in TNA now, and a tad eerie. In 2002, I had a TNA ewr game that I played extremely far into. Not only did I make AJ Styles the World Champion far before he ever won it for real, but I depushed Killings down to nothing and then built him back up to be a 2-time World Champion, and then when I got to 2006 I was able to steal Kurt Angle from the WWE.

EWR can be a real prophecy at times.

Mad Dog - September 25, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
Some of the spinning going on right now from the anti-TNA people is pretty funny. Some are acting like this isn't anything big and there are even some RoHbots trying to run around and say that some piece of RoH news was bigger over the last couple of years.

I'm still in shock about it. We haven't seen this kind of talent move probably since Jeff Jarrett jumped ship in 99.

Real F'n Show - September 25, 2006 04:44 PM (GMT)
Angle's jump is way bigger than Jarrett's. This is Outsiders big.

dynamite kido - September 25, 2006 05:06 PM (GMT)
This is the biggest news in TNA's history as far as I'm concerned.

Honestly, I don't get all the TNA hate from people. It's like people that bitch about the WWE constantly yet refuse to support TNA because they aren't the WWE.

WTF?

SamoaRowe - September 25, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
A lot of people are hating people for applauding this by saying things like "You all thought WWE was heartless to keep Angle going like that, but at least they at least cared about his health enough to fire him."

I agree that Angle's health is a huge concern, but to say that TNA is "heartless" just isn't true. Chance are, Angle will be wrestling two or three times a month, not two or three times a week like he was with WWE. Also, imagine if Angle decided he wanted to check out RoH?

"Being with TNA feels like I have finally found my home. I had fun in WWE at certain times, but I was never really happy. Now being a part of TNA, I know I have a purpose. I feel like I am part of history, part of a company that is not only on the rise – not only going to be the number-one watched wrestling show in the world within a short period of time – but TNA gives me an opportunity to spread my wings. This company has no limits to where it can go. The sky is the limit and the main reason is because they brought the “real” back into wrestling and that is a perfect fit for the greatest wrestler in USA Olympic history. I have room to grow here and to help TNA grow. Working for these caring and very giving employers of TNA makes me feel like I have a purpose and that the sky is the limit. I don’t feel trapped or held back like I did the first six years in my tenure with the other company. They held me back. Now, our wonderful audience will see the real Kurt Angle doing what I love to do – real wrestling – and that’s what puts a smile on my face each time I come to work. I even smile when I think about it. TNA will be the most watched television show on cable television. It’s only a matter of time. Now, I get the opportunity and privilege of being a part of it. Thank you TNA for saving my career, my life and my desire to do what I love. I will be here in some capacity for the rest of my life. That’s real…that’s damn real."
