Title: Green Arrow goes teeny-bopper

Shot of Green Arrow in "Smallville"He's.... shaved!
Not a fan of the show, but the costume's nothing offensive. Bit more "Arsenal", with the shades and compound bow, probably due to the teenage slant of the show.

Smallville is actually a pretty decent show. I'd watch it more if I was actually home when it's on.

Ernie. I hate to break this to you, but Smallville sucks. Bad

I can see why hardcore comic fans may hate it, but for what it is, it's pretty decent.

My problem is that they changed the dynamic of Smallville, Kansas. It's supposed to be some town in the middle of Kansas where Clark is raised as a good, old fashioned American boy. Thanks to the show it's the center of the DC Universe.

Smallville as the center of the DC universe is really nothing new. In the Silver Age, pretty much EVERYBODY made it to Smallville as a youngster. Master Myzxypltk, young Bruce Wayne, young Lex Luthor, young Lois Lane...you get the picture.
Nice troll job, Davey. I'm not into the show, but I understand it has a rabid following. If this stuff makes kids think the Superman world is "cool", then it's good for something.

Hey, man, I thought things were pretty cool between us here - you don't have to use that word. I dislike the show - if you want reasons, then I apologise for not giving any sooner.
- The acting is poor. Welling has zero charisma. Nothing about him screams "Superman". On the other hand, Rosenbaum has tons of charisma, but has two ranges as an actor, creepy/evil, and creepy/pissed off. For all his faults, Dean Cain, looked and actd like Superman. And it's not just Smallville - I've seen Welling in other stuff and he's shit in that
-Kristin Kreuk is the worst actress on the planet.
-The chick who plays Lois Lane isn't as bad - but that isn't saying much, and her and Welling have zero chemistry. Nothing about their scenes screams "DC's greatest couple"
-Some of the writing is pretty good - but occasionaly the dialogue is fucking woeful. The episode where they introduced Aquaman, for instance, had a decent idea behind it - but then they had the "Hey, we should set up a Junior Lifeguards Alliance", and Clark goes "Oh I'm not ready for the JLA yet, hardy har har". I sat there thinking "Wow - how long did it take you to come up with something that silly"
-The plotting is all over the place. Lana gets possessed by a witch and goes to China, followed by her halfwit fella, followed by Lex and Clark. No one questions a gang of kids going to CHINA!
The revelation in the pilot that the parents had kept a space ship hidden in a barn for 16 years is a little convuluted.
Saying that - the first series itself was a mishmash of bad to horrible ideas. The pilot was excellent - but it went downhill from there with everyone being a "Kryptonite fuelled Villain Of The Week". The show hasn't got much better, still having the Villain of the Week, but not kryptonite.
The whole "cave/freaky discs that go into the cave" thingy went on, IMO, for fucking eons.
I'm sure I could think of more, but it's pretty late.
I will say this - as a "Ultimatization" of DC - and certainly the versions of GA, Cyborg and Aquaman, Flash, and anyone I missed - and I liked the Flash episode - smacked of the Ultimate idea, it works

It's cool, but just be mindful and consider the intent of the thread. Green Arrow's costume, not "ways that Smallville sucks". Not trying to police every thread, but I think you see where I'm going.
Honestly, I know diddly about the show. Watched it once when my dog was a puppy...and I just had it on as background noise while I puppy-sat. Or maybe it was "Birds of Prey".
