The first day I turned 18 I smoked cigars all day. The next day I went to the porno shop or "Adult Book and Video" as it's called. I was looking at all the stuff and I went to turn a corner and some Asian guy who looked to be about the same age as me came running around the corner, and ran straight into one of the bins in the middle of the isle. Everything went flying everywhere and the guy had knocked himself down. He got up, saw that I was the only one that had saw him, and ran out of the store. Of course I didn't buy anything cuz all the DVDs there are like $40 and I was like fuck that, I have the internet...

LFV would probably be heading for the Ohio establishment for porn known as the Lion's Den. When I turned 18 we didn't have that fancy broadband in most areas.

I work up at Easton, so I pass the Lion's Den twice a day. I've seen some of the people who go in there, and I wouldn't want to touch anything in that store unless armed with a tonne of hand sanitizer. Internet's free, anyway.

The inside isn't as scarey as you're probably thinking. Now granted I haven't seen the inside of it in a good 5 years but it just looks like any other video rental place. It just has dildos with the videos.

Yeah. I guess. I'll probably end up letting my curiosity get the better of me sooner or later. Or go there to get a gag gift for my friend on his birthday... Or using the later as an excuse for the former.

It can't be any worse than this place I once stumbled into in Portland, Maine. This place was off the charts perverted, there wasn't any direction you could look without feeling embarassed :P The best part was this group of very guilty looking men waiting in line to go into some black, closed off room for who knows what.

The worst part is if they don't divide the porn up well. One minute you'll be in something ok and a few DVDs later you're into the gay or midget porn to your own horror.

I remember at this one video store that used to be around here called Hit List. For some odd reason, they had porno tapes beside the wrestling tapes. And this was about 4 rows back from the entrance. Small store it was. Even as a kid I knew something was up with them tapes when I saw the front of them.

This chick I work with keeps on saying she has a video in the Lions Den. I don't really know if I want to find out if she's joking or not. Some things you just don't need to know about your co-workers...

Are there any traditional video stores still around? The porno section used to have the bead pseudo-door. Ah, the good old days of the dank video store with nothing that had been released within the last decade.
