Just wondering if anyone else has been following the show this season.

Actually, yes. I didn't see this thread.

Here's my rundown on the season:

I think the right four made it to the finals, which is pretty impressive for a reality TV show.

Magni - I think he has the best voice, but unfortunately doesn't make a good TV star. I'm sure I would like to hear him front a good band, but watching him perform week after week on TV has gotten boring.

Toby - Didn't think much about him at all until the last couple of weeks. While Magni has no shot at winning this, I do think Toby has an outside chance, but it isn't likely.

Dilana - I've thought she was terrible up until her performance of Roxanne this week, which I thought was great. She'll not likely win, because of her gender, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if Nova through us a curve and picked her. All the "drama" stuff with the interviews and stuff was created for TV. It will have no bearing on the band's decision.

Lucas - He's your winner. Personally, I think he's horrrible. His voice is so fake and cartoonish, I just can't deal with it. I also think his over-exagerrated emo stage act has limited appeal, but for some reason the band loves him, and have made it pretty clear from the beginning.

See, I think Toby and Dilana are the top two choices. Here's my take:

Magni-Like you said, awesome voice. He's got an awesome personality, too. But his problem is showing any kind of excitement on stage. Every performance looks the same. That's a big negative when you're on stage with rock stars of Jason Newsted-Tommy Lee-Gilby Clarke magnitude.

Toby-He started out rough. He was nothing special, until he took his shirt off. That performance was a momentum changer. He's become the strongest of the four in the past few weeks. He even passed Dilana in my book after her media fiasco.

Dilana-By far the strongest overall in the entire competition. She was head and shoulders above everyone else from the get go. Her media stumble thing was, as you said, just for TV, but it did get to her a bit. She did rebound with the Tracy Chapman song, though. Hell of a job on that.

Lukas-What can I say about Lukas? Oh, he's not good at all. His singing is okay when he's not trying to gargle everything, his onstage emo chickenwalk is worse, and he has no reason to even be here. EXCEPT that he brings in the young emo crowd. That's the only reason he's on the show. I'm absolutely certain the only reason they're so good to him is for the audience, and so they can swerve us.

I disagree with that. When you have attention whores like that on stage with you, it'd probably be fine for him to stand dead still and sing. The problem is being on TV before he joins the whores. It comes across as boring in comparison to Tarzan, Devil-woman, and Emo-Chicken boy, but he's probably the only one I'd listen to outside of the show.

My Pick right now for SN would be Toby.

They'll pick Lucas.

If they pick Lucas, I'll be disappointed
