Title: 5 Wrestlers TNA Should Sign
Mad Dog - August 23, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
1. Matt Morgan: We've talked about him a lot here. Great talker with loads of charisma. Can work as a face or a heel and can get incredibly over.
2. Luthor Reigns: Kinda of bland inring but another great talker. You could bring him in to feud with Morgan and they could turn out a super hot program on the strength of promos alone.
3. Colt Cabana: Cabana, Shark Boy and Norman Smiley as a comedy stable would be a lot of fun.
4. Mistico: Politics would make this hard but he'd be huge in the states. He's a younger and quicker version of Misterio.
5. Ultimo Dragon: Again, CMLL worker so the politics would be tricky. Already well known by the American crowds and would be a great fit for the X Division.
Next 5:
6. El Hijo Del Perro Aguayo: If he can speak English bring him over.
7. Mark Magnus: Let him be an arrogant pretty boy and see what happens.
8. Bryan Danielson: Make him get a tan first.
9. Giant Bernard: Abyss/Bernard tag team.
10. D'Lo Brown
Real F'n Show - August 23, 2006 10:53 PM (GMT)
Jericho. Won't happen, but who doesn't want to see a heel tandem of Christian and Jericho running rampant in TNA?
Giant Bernard. Could happen. Bring him in with a manager, a guy like Don Callis, and use him as a monster, it'd work great.
Cabana. I'm still amazed he doesn't work for them yet.
Delirious. Fuck Sharkboy, TNA needs a real comedy worker for the X Division.
Nigel McGuinness. I know they used him once but never brought him back. Would work great as the Regal of TNA.
whitemilesdavis - August 24, 2006 11:45 AM (GMT)
Morgan - Too many good comments from people "in the know" to be untrue. Bring him in and lut us see for ourselves.
Kenta - May be the best in the world right now.
American Dragon - May be the best in the world right now.
Brock Lesnar - A very good worker when motivated. One of two people who could make an immediate impact on ratings. The other being...
Goldberg - Yes, I really want to see ol' whisker biscuit back in the ring again.
The Last Free Voice - August 24, 2006 01:30 PM (GMT)
Matt Sydal would be a good fit for the X-Division
Sean O'Haire- I have a soft spot for the guy, but apparently he's really let himself go. If He got back into NBT-era shape, a O'Haire vs. Joe feud would RULE.
Am. Drag- Duh.
Jack Evans- Perhaps it's the association with Ted Hart, but C'mon, can anyone NOT see this guy lighting up the X-Division?
Steve Corino- Old School. Could pull off the "mentor" role sooooo much better than Douglas. Plus, could still have decent matches with the right people.
whitemilesdavis - August 24, 2006 01:35 PM (GMT)
I hate Jack Evans.
Good call on Corino though. I'd love to see him in TNA.
Mad Dog - August 24, 2006 01:52 PM (GMT)
Jack Evans is a dime a dozen indy wrestler. I don't think he brings anything to the table that they don't already have.
dynamite kido - August 24, 2006 05:00 PM (GMT)
Stop with the Jack Evans hate. He's fucking Spike Dudley on steriods (not literally, you know what I mean)
whitemilesdavis - August 24, 2006 05:13 PM (GMT)
I've always hated Spike Dudley.
dynamite kido - August 24, 2006 06:19 PM (GMT)
I didn't say you have to like him, I'm just saying that he has a bigger upside than Spike and he already works in TNA.
The Last Free Voice - August 24, 2006 07:15 PM (GMT)
I'm not saying push him to the moon, but throw him out there in some clusterfuck X Matches to get him over with the insane highspots, then toss him into the X-Mix. Sabin, Shelley, Lethal, et al could all have really good matches with him, and he could be over huge as either a face or heel, depending on how they use him.
Plus I want to see Lowki vs. Evans, just for the asskicking Evans would take.
dynamite kido - August 24, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
Plus, I'd much rather see him face guys like Abyss, Monty Brown, Rhino, etc.
He'd be a credit because he can make ANYONE look like a million dollars. Not in a working sense, but because he can bump better than 99.9% of the wrestling industry.
The Last Free Voice - August 24, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
God, Monte would Pounce him into the fifth row...
Also, for their fledging Tag Division: Crazy J and Lotus
Real F'n Show - August 24, 2006 09:47 PM (GMT)
Why's everyone want Danielson in TNA? He'd be way the fuck out of his element. It's like wanting Kane to work ROH.
And yes, LFV, Irish Airbourne would be a great addition to TNA's tag division, as would the Briscoes now that I think about it...

I would have to pass on the head dropping puro brothers in TNA.
They would single handedly bury every finisher in the history of wrestling in one match.
Danielson would be fun in TNA, but he would have to start in the X-division.
Mad Dog - August 24, 2006 10:16 PM (GMT)
The Briscoes are too ugly for TNA. I also doubt their ability to work within shorter time limits and I have serious doubts about how they'd do with the other tag teams running around currently. I think the Havana Pitbulls are more marketable and bring everything the Briscoes bring to the table in a better package.

I don't think the HP's even team anymore. Anyone know what Romero has been up to lately? I know he was doing the Black Tiger thing, but I haven't even heard anything about that in a while.
Real F'n Show - August 25, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
That's pretty much it other than random PWG shows every once and awhile. Reyes has slowly become the better worker, in my opinion...
smkelly13 - September 28, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
Hero and Claudio
American Dragon
Chris Jericho
Super Dragon
Timmy8271 - September 29, 2006 02:03 AM (GMT)
Jack Evans
Hijo Del Perro Aguayo( they need to dump AAA and go with EMLL)
Jimmy Jacobs
Prince Nana
Kings of Wrestling
lspaceman3 - October 11, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
Mistico
Ultimo Dragon
Chris Jericho
Lance Storm
Bryan Danielson
whitemilesdavis - October 11, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
I think Lance Storm could still have his best days ahead of him, if he'll get back in the ring. His run in WCW was enough to convince me that he can be entertaining, and he always been a solid worker.
SamoaRowe - October 11, 2006 05:31 PM (GMT)
Lance Storm had some awesome times in WCW, amazingly. Plus, his match against Danielson earlier this year showed that he could still be a big time player.
whitemilesdavis - October 11, 2006 05:38 PM (GMT)
I haven't seen that. I should check it out.
Real F'n Show - October 11, 2006 06:13 PM (GMT)
It's really good. Storm could be a great midcard/uppercard heel in TNA.
Tempest - January 12, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
1. Justin Credible- Yeah, I said it. If they could get the name issue straightened out. I don't want PJ Manowar, or Aldocredible Polaco, Justin Walkerowar or anything stupid like that.
2. Lance Storm- To reform the Impact players. Just imagine the play that name would get on a show called TNA: iMPACT..... :)
3. American Dragon- Dragon/Joe, Dragon/Styles, Dragon/Daniels, Dragon/Senshi on a regular basis? I'm in.....
4. Giant Bernard- Hard hitting, stiff as morning piss dick and a good wrestler to boot; the perfect foil for a Samoa Joe feud.
5. Kenta- Probably the best worker in the world outside of the US.
SamoaRowe - January 12, 2007 04:56 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I never thought about it, but Giant Bernard in TNA would be pretty cool. He was an entertaining big man who delivered some kick-ass offense.
Dragon would probably be well recieved by the Florida crowd, though I'd cringe to think about what Russo would do to him.
Credible and Storm as the Impact Players would be cool.
KENTA probably would not fit in with TNA and would be happier keeping his ROH and NOAH dates going. I could see him being brought in for big matches though.
whitemilesdavis - January 12, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
I think KENTA should be signed immediately.
Real F'n Show - January 13, 2007 09:03 AM (GMT)
KENTA as a Tajiri-in-ECW style heel would rule. He'd just need someone to play Super Crazy. Ricky Marvin?
dynamite kido - January 13, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
KENTA should be signed, but I honestly think they'd have a problem figuring out what to do with him.
But a KENTA/AJ feud should happen immediately though....

Awesome... wait... that's an insult! :D
Back on topic...
1-5. No one. Until they learn how to use the people they currently have (a.k.a everyone but the top 5 guys), they shouldn't hire anyone new unless it's a JTTS role.
whitemilesdavis - January 20, 2007 01:43 PM (GMT)
Ahh, you're probably right. The one hour TV show doesn't leave a lot of room for character development.
