Title: Solicitations in NOVEMBER!
Description: What are you buying?

D.A.V.E. - August 21, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
Newsarama brings the goodies

Thoughts

-It's a Wildstorm Month.

-November is a good month if you like Darwyn Cooke.

-I have a sick desire to buy THAT All-Star Batman cover, frame it, go to Marvel, become a superstar writer, have kids and show them - "Thats when Daddy decided to save the comics industry"

-Nicola Scott takes over on art on Birds Of Prey. She's good.

-52 brings back Jean Loring. The Murderer. Well, thats kept me interesting

-Seth Cohen becomes a real comic book writer

-Interesting point. Brody's book is being co-written by Ken Bilson and Paul DeMeo, the team "behind" The Flash. Adam Brody is knocking boots with Rachel "Summer" Bilson. Ken Bilson's kid.

-If I had to guess, Brody is plotting the book with half an eye to turning it into movie in a few years

-Christos Gage will be one of the biggest names in comics in a few years.

-Garth Ennis. Midnighter. I'm so there...even if the voices saying he's going to leave Punisher are getting louder

eStragand - August 22, 2006 05:18 PM (GMT)
Just my usual samplings, which will be:
Superman/Batman
Batman
Flash
Nightwing

If it wasn't 5.99, I'd be buying:
GUY GARDNER: COLLATERAL DAMAGE #1
Gardner and G'nort!! My two favorite GL's....but not worth 6 bucks. It also gives me flashbacks to 1992's "Guy Gardner" title. As Thor would say: It stunketh, verily.

If I can remember, that Dr. Phosphorous issue of 'TEC sounds fun. I liked him back in the day and I forgot (okay, never knew) that his real name was "Alex Sartorius". Same name as my parent company, so I'd get a chuckle outta' that.

Good God

I was thinking the same thing while looking at my list.

I'll also be getting:

Transformers: Escalation #1

Some Notes

-The idea that "there'll be nothing on the shelf because Marvel are delaying their books because of Civil War is BULLSHIT - because that's my biggest pull list since May.

It includes
- 5 First issues, if you count the Ultimate Vision book.

-I could have sworn Marvel swore not to collect said Ultimate Vision

-Chris Claremont must be spitting blood over the Pete Wisdom mini

-Said Pete Wisdom mini seems like a Marvel attempt at Constantine. Nothing wrong with that. It's written by Paul Cornell, one of the writers of New Doctor Who.

-I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating forking out for the New X-Men Omnibus

-This month's guilty pleasure, is, obviously, the Heroes Reborn stuff

-The AXM cover seems to indicate Cyclops is now controlling his vision, without the visor, and that Emma Frost did indeed turn face. Saying that, I haven't read the latest issue but there's apparantly a major twist in the mix.

-Good Month to be a Matt Fraction fan
