I just saw the movie last night for the first time and enjoyed it, so I'm thinking about seeking out some comics. I've read that the comics are slightly different from the movie (no Myers, Abe's not psychic, Kroenen plays a lesser role) but are they better or worse? Worth seeking out?

It's put out by Dark Horse so chances are good it's not the Image garbage of the early 90s. I haven't personally read it but you can grab the first two trade paperbacks on Amazon for $25.

I actually went to pick up the first TPB at the bookstore this afternoon and ended up leaving with something completely different. Preacher. I guess there's 9 TPB in the set, and it looks fucking awesome.
