Well, this show has just been odd so far. The opening video thing was downright creepifying. Did I see Jimmy Jacobs as a Sting? Seriously?

And how about those "technical difficulties" with the fire extinguishers? Yikes.

First match was decent enough, though, for Eric Young and Devine.

EDIT: So, turns out there was actually a fire. They had to evacuate everyone. After they got everyone back in, the show kept going. Pretty decent so far. Joe/Rhino/Monte was real good. The X-Division 3 way was pretty good too. The other matches were alright, but nothing mind blowing. Tag match starting now.

There was a fire in the iMPACT! Zone? What?

What the hell? It figures the first TNA I actually missed and all hell breaks loose.

Can anyone here hook up a copy?

The pyro at the openeing lit a fire in the rafters. The fire extinguishers rained down that smokey stuff during Eric Young vs. Johnny Devine. At first they thought it was just a glitch, but turns out it was a fire, so they had to evacuate. Took about twenty minutes to get everything settled and get the show back on, but the crowd stayed pretty into it. Pretty good show overall. Glad I ordered.

So what was the best match LFV?

The Last Free Voice - August 15, 2006 01:55 AM (GMT)
Tough to say. The tag match was pretty good, but I'd have to go with Monte/Joe/Rhino. I wasn't really in "smark" mode while watching, so ya'll may not agree with me, but the three way was what entertained me the most.

SPOILERS:

Christian's heel turn was totally obvious as soon as he came back down to ringside. Glad it happened, but damn, was it transparent.

I watched the first half of the show. Thought Young/Devine had some nice moments, and total credit to those guys for not really missing a beat with the siuation. Shelley/Sabin had some nice spots, but the crowd was still coming down off of the fire stuff.

3 way Falls Count Anywhere was actually a GREAT garbage brawl. They were hitting the shit out of each other with anything that wasn't nailed down, and everyone took some great bumps on the ramp/stage/crowd. Finish was out of nowhere, and I loved it. Great to see a move like the STO get the win, just cause it never happens.

Anyway, thats where I'm at. More to come after I finish it.

I saw the Christian turn coming since Cornette announced he would be in Sting's corner. It was REALLY obvious by the way they were building it up, really. I hope they keep everything intact what with the fire and all for the DVD. That would be hilarious to see.

Honestly, they'd sell more copies if they keep that part intact. People will want it for the novelty of it.

I think the Christian turn was supposed to be horribly obvious. At least they didn't set it up and then not do it, like the WWE, who seems intent on working all the internet people half the time.

They set it up wonderfully, and then it happened, which is what needs to happen.
