Afterwards there will just be an NWA Saturday Night show every week.

Well that's all for the NWA's first show. Be here Saturday Night for the NWA's weekly telecast. There'll be tons of action:
Harley Race and the Midnight Express will be presented with their titles by the NWA President Gorilla Monsoon (he's not in the game, I just thought he'd be a good President).
The last three teams involved in the Lou Albano Invitional Tournament will be announced and there will also be two tournament matches.
The extent of Koko B. Ware's injuries will be known as Mean Gene will have an exclusive interview with the Birdman.
Also on the card:
Jimmy Snuka vs. Dick Hutton
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Buddy Rose
Sabu vs. Ox Baker
Buddy Rogers vs. Frank Gotch in the main event
Mad Dog - January 13, 2005 04:38 PM (GMT)
I'm currently working on a Championship Committee for my fed. Jerry Jarrett, Vern Gagne, Dusty Rhodes and Bill Watts are the only ones I've added so far. I'll probably add Crockett as well.
Mad Dog - January 13, 2005 07:10 PM (GMT)
I removed Dusty Rhodes but have added Crockett, Vince Sr. and Eddie Graham. One more and it's probably between Jim Barnett and Bob Geigel.
Mad Dog - January 14, 2005 05:51 PM (GMT)
NWA Saturday Night:
Red Bastien is searching the back for a tag team partner so that he can enter the Lou Albano Invitational.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan d. Buddy Rose w/ the Flying Spear Rating: *
Lou Albano comes out. He reminds everyone that the Lou Albano Invitational is a round robin tournament where the winners receive his managerial services. He introduces the already known teams of the Killer Bees, Valiants and the Dream Team. Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff come out as the next team followed by Dick Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton. Red Bastien comes out and ask anyone from the back to come out if they want to be his partner. Killer Kowalski emerges from the back and gladly accepts his offer. The tournament starts now.
Lou Albano Invitational:
Red Bastien and Killer Kowalski d. Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff w/ the Claw Hold Rating: ***
Mean Gene is at Koko B. Ware's home for an interview. Koko said it was only bruised ribs and that he should be back in action shortly. He also mentioned Ox Baker and paying him back.
Sabu d. Ox Baker w/ the Camel Clutch Rating: *
Tag Team Title Presentation. Gorilla presents the Midnight Express with the NWA World Tag Team Title belts. The Road Warriors attack and clear the ring. They trash the Presentation set.
Note: The Championship Committee voted 6-1 to fine the Road Warriors $10,000 a piece. Eddie Graham was the lone dissenter as he wanted a suspension tagged on as well.
Lou Albano Invitational:
the Killer Bees d. the Dream Team w/ a sunset flip after Masked Confusion Rating: *
Bobby Heenan promo. He's going to sit back and scout the talent for the next few weeks so he can offer the right people his managerial services.

Backstage: Bobo Brazil challenges Mil Mascaras to a match next week.
Frank Gotch d. Buddy Rogers w/ the Gotch Toehold Rating: ***1/4
World Heavyweight Title Presentation. Gorilla Monsoon presents Harley Race with the World Heavyweight Title belt. Note: The Championship Committee voted 5-2 to give Inoki the title shot. Vern Gagne and Jim Crockett dissented. Vern Gagne wanted to give the shot to Nick Bockwinkel and Jim Crockett wanted Inoki to win some matches in the NWA first.
Note: The Championship Committee voted 7-0 to suspend World Heavyweight Title defenses until Inoki gets his shot.
Join us next week for another edition of NWA Saturday Night:

Scrooge McSuck - January 14, 2005 06:19 PM (GMT)
Sounds good so far. Nice to see a good blend of matches that might not take place in the real world.
Mad Dog - January 14, 2005 08:31 PM (GMT)
The next PPV will be the Great American Bash and that'll be taking place in April. So far only one match has been announced for it:
NWA World Heavyweight Title Match:
Harley Race © vs. Antonio Inoki
There will also be a tournament for the NWA United States Championship after I finish up with the Lou Albano Invitational stuff. The participants will be announced over time. I'll probably do two shows a week for this just because. The federation timewise will have started in 2004.
Mad Dog - January 15, 2005 04:48 AM (GMT)
Just to add, feel free to say something if you think someone isn't being used enough or if there are certain matches you want to see.
Mad Dog - January 16, 2005 10:07 PM (GMT)
Remember it's 2004 so there will probably be 2 shows a week instead of 1 for awhile:
NWA Saturday Night:
There's a line of wrestlers outside of Bobby Heenan's office. Heenan is scouting out and interviewing guys for the Heenan Family.
the Destroyer d. Virgil w/ the Figure Four Leglock Rating: **

Nick Bockwinkel d. Sabu w/ the Bockwinkel Sleeper Rating: **1/2
The Midnight Express come out. They're very upset that the Championship Committee didn't give the Road Warriors a stiffer penalty. There was no excuse for being attacked during their Championship Ceremony and they'll just have to take justice into their own hands.
Lou Albano Invitational:
the Valiants d. Dick Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton w/ the Top Rope Elbow Rating: *1/2
Gorilla Monsoon comes out with a bunch of papers. He announces that the first NWA PPV will be called the Great American Bash. He also announces that the Midnight Express will defend the NWA World Tag Team Titles against the Killer Bees on the next edition of Saturday Night.
Ted Dibiase d. the Sandman w/ the Million Dollar Sleeper Rating: *
Antonio Inoki comes out with his translator. He came to the U.S. for one reason and that was to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title.
Mil Mascaras d. Bobo Brazil w/ the Crossbody Attack Rating: ***3/4
Jimmy Snuka comes out. He's sick and tired of being overlooked for title matches. He's been one of the biggest names in wrestling for decades but NO ONE ever sees fit to give him a shot at a World Title. He's going to show the Championship Committee how mistaken they are.
Join us next week for another exciting edition of NWA Saturday Night:
The first title defense ever in the NWA as the Midnight Express make their first title defense against the Killer Bees. Will they retain or will this be a short lived reign?
Jimmy Snuka has become a very bitter man seemingly overnight. He's got a match with King Kong Bundy and a huge chip on his shoulder. Can he back up his rant from this week or will he be all talk?
Bobby Heenan has signed two NWA stars to contracts. Find out who next week.
The Sandman has an important announcement to make.

Dick Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton 0-1
Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff 0-1
the Dream Team 0-1
Scrooge McSuck - January 16, 2005 10:11 PM (GMT)
What would be cool... hold a "Lethal Lottery" type event with mixed around tag teams. I would laugh for Hawk & Bobby Eaton vs. Animal & Virgil, or something weird like that.
Mad Dog - January 16, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
I might actually do that once the new set gets here. Just do a one night eight team tournament.
Peter North - January 16, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
Only thing that would make this better is if you transcribed some classic coked-up Snuka promos.

One question for you guys. What do you of the bitter Snuka character I'm using?
Scrooge McSuck - January 17, 2005 01:03 AM (GMT)
I'm not complaining... I'm not much of a Snuka fan, so :D.

Jimmy Snuka d. King Kong Bundy w/ the Superfly Leap Rating: *1/2

Scrooge McSuck - January 21, 2005 06:14 AM (GMT)
Horrible question: How do the PWI rankings work exactly? I thought they were just random (recently PETEY WILLIAMS was ranked #1 for NWA-TNA, yet not ranked at all for the NWA)
Also more focus on me! I found my first set and the order form for the 2nd one (w/ Midnights, Duggan, etc.) and might order soon.
If I wasn't so horrible at sketching real people, I would just make myself bootleg ones, but oh well...
Mad Dog - January 21, 2005 06:21 AM (GMT)
At this point it's pretty subjective since I think Harley Race has the best record at 6-1 overall. Mil Mascaras was an easy choice for the No.1 spot since he's only lost in the Finals of the World Title Tournament. It's mostly based on their tournament performance and W-L plus if I felt like ranking them or not.
The most liked/hated is just subjective. The rankings will be more concrete with time and when guys pull ahead of the pack.
My GWF rankings are based on points earned through wins and losses.
There will be results for this and the GWF fed later today.
Mad Dog - January 21, 2005 07:30 AM (GMT)

The new set coming out motivated me to work on this fed some more so I can start hyping the new blood. Plus I had been slacking on posting so I had a lot of backed up shows. One more and you'll be up to date.
