Master and Commander
Commentary by Jim Ross and Commissioner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Submission Match
Jay Lethal def. Dan Severn at 7:19 with an ankle lock in a back-and-forth match. Severn lead with the most locks, but Lethal reversed and escaped them all. After the match, Severn appeared to grapple Lethal, but instead raised his hand and congratulated him.

Ross: Take a look at that! Former NWA champion Dan Severn has just passed-down the torch! Brain, it looks like Dan Severn has just found the right man to pass it down to, too.

Heenan: That's right, JR. Lethal is going to be the future of this company, and he's just laying his ground-work now, by defeating the former NWA and UFC champion in his own match.

Virginia State Title Match
Val Venis © def. Steven Richards via Referee Stoppage at 12:09 when Venis DDT'ed after Richards was dropped on an exposed turnbuckle that Richards ripped earlier, in attempts to get back at Venis. The match was lead by Richards. Richards mostly brawled against Venis, while Venis tried keeping his cool, knowing it would further take Richards out of his element. After the match the bloodied Richards didn't give-up fight and continued brawling with Venis, until they were separated by veteran wrestler road agents.

Ross: Good! Richards is finally receiving medical attention!

Heenan: Yeah, it looks like we've got ourselves a gusher!

:Richards pushes the medical staff aside.:

Richards: Where's Venis?! Where is he?!

:Richards takes off running outback.:

Heenan: Nope, nevermind JR. Great, we've got ourselves a gusher going on the road. The clean-up staff is going to love us!

2 Live Kewl def. Backseat Boyz at 5:32 when Scott 2 Hotty pinned Trent Acid with the Flying DDT in a surprise match of the evening that the crowd ended eating up.

The Ultimate Challenge

:Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is in the ring.:

Heenan: Shut-up you hicks! I said shut up! Last week I made a deal to anyone in back who could do me a favour and take out the Ultimate Fool in a one-on-one match. I have $50,000 of my own hard-earned money. And, given my powers as Commissioner of NWA: Mid-Atlantic, I am also offering a Mid-Atlantic main event title shot to anyone who can pin the Ultimate Warrior. Who in the back is willing to take me up on my offer? Someone who can do this on the first try.

:Rhyno comes out to the ring.:

Heenan: Rhyno? Rhyno?! Where the hell have you been? You haven't been showing up to shows in over a month now! You ditched us and stopped showing up for matches here and have been wrestling for NEW!

Rhyno: So?

Heenan: So? So?! You are still under contract with us! You break your contract! I'll make you a better deal, Rhyno. Not only will I give you the $50,000 prize and the main event title shot, I'll let you keep your job! If you lose, then you can spend all the time you want in NEW because you won't be wrestling here anymore. How does that sound Rhyno?

Rhyno: Sounds gooooood.

Heenan: Good. Now get the Ultimate Jackass out here! Ultimate Jackass, you have a match tonight - right here, right now. And you have to accept it, because the Commissioner of the Mid-Atlantic says so!

Ultimate Warrior def. Rhyno at 0:37 with Ultimate Bomber Pin. Upon entering the ring, Rhyno tried Goring the Ultimate Warrior. Warrior brushed-off Rhyno and not even falling back from the Gore. Stunned, Warrior put Rhyno in the Ultimate Bomber Pin.

Heenan: Dammit Rhyno! You can't do anything right! Not here, not in the NEW. You fired Rhyno! You fired! I hope NEW likes you, because you won't be wrestling here anymore! Dammit! Do I have to do everything myself?!

:Heenan runs into the ring and hits Warrior on the back with the chair. Warrior turned around, points to Heenan, whips him into the ropes and clothesline him. Heenan rolls out of the ring before Warrior can follow-up.:

Heenan slapping the ring apron: Dammit! Dammit, dammit, dammit!

John Cena def. Christian Cage at 9:00 when Cena rolled-up Cage after hitting the exposed turnbuckle from earlier in the night after the make-shift padding had been torn off when the two were grappling in the corner. After the pinfall, Cage and Cena begin brawling in the ring; Cena got the upper-hand when he kicked Cage in the groin and put him in the F-U.

Ross: What in the hell has gotten into Cena?

Heenan: I think he's just got his senses knocked into him. May be I should offer Cena the $50,000 and title shot prize to take out Warrior for me.

No DQ Match
Sting def. Randy Orton at 12:46 with the Stinger Splash followed by the Stinger Drop. During the match, Orton took to the top rope using his youthfulness and quickness to take-down Sting, while Sting used his experience to outwit Orton in this stiff match. After the match, Orton used the top rope once more, but with Sting on the top rope and hit the Super RKO.

Ross: Will these two ever settle this battle?! These two have been going back and forth since the first episode of Saturday Night Flood!

Heenan: Not until these two can settle this battle once and for all. Just when one gets the upper-hand, the other takes him down.

Mid-Atlantic Title: Last Man Standing Match
"Phenomenal" AJ Styles draws "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels © at 27:59 in a highfliers match that went around the ring and into the back and ended back in the ring. Daniels hits the Angel's Wings on Styles and begin celebrating, posing to the crowd. Around the count of 8, Styles staggered up, spun Daniels around, latched an underhook, and set-up Daniels for the Styles Clash. As Styles went down on the mat with Daniels, Styles collapsed in the middle of the ring with the fallen Daniels, with both being counted to 10, for the Double Knock-Out.

95/91/100

Heenan: What?!

Ross: Both men just collapsed in the middle of the ring! It's a Double Knock-Out! Daniels still retains!

:Heenan jumps out of his seat.:

Heenan: Yes! Yes! That's right, JR! Daniels retains! Daniels retains! He is surely God's Gift to Wrestling!

Ross: Both men are just so equally matched that neither man could beat the other.

Heenan: It's over! It's over! The belt stays on Daniels!

Ross: What a shame. Stayed tuned for next week on Mid-Atlantic's Saturday Night Flood.

:Master and Commander ends with a close-up shot on Styles on Daniels as both men are still laid-out.:

I can already hear Scrooge bitching about Kane losing. Let's see how long it takes him to get back and find out about it

prof_plague - July 25, 2006 04:31 PM (GMT)
It was a mere DQ finish; Kane is still undefeated. Besides, he got DQ'ed by Tombstoning Hogan on a steel chair. That's not burying Kane. :D

SamoaRowe - July 30, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Bah. Rhino's current NEW gimmick is that he is undefeated there, and you have him job to Warrior in 37 seconds? Let's see how Cena does at Summerslam now...
