STACY KEIBLER SIGNS NEW CONTRACT....WITH DISNEY by Mike Johnson @ 9:35:00 AM on 7/19/2006
Now you can really call her a former WWE Diva. Stacy Keibler signed a talent holding deal with Disney's Touchstone TV studio, according to today's edition of The Hollywood Reporter.
Such a deal keeps Keibler contractually tied to the Touchstone while a TV project is designed for her and/or she is added to an existing Touchstone series. It would also give Touchstone the right of "first refusal", with Keibler contractually agreeing that Touchstone projects take precedence over any outside projects that could potentially conflict with her Touchstone projects.
Keibler broke out as a legitimate celebrity beyond her pro wrestling fame while competing all the way to the finals in last season's version of "Dancing with the Stars" on ABC. Her WWE deal is slated to expire by the end of this month. There are no plans by Keibler to return to the company. http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=19210&p=1 |
Good for her says I. She was too good for wrestling.

I agree 100% MD. She's definately one of the best looking women out there too. I hope she does good for herself as she seems like a genuinely decent person too.

Ah, I don't really care either way. I never found her particularly entertaining, and I doubt I'll watch any sitcom she does. Good luck to her, I guess.

Snif... Stacy's been "my goil" since she won the Nitro Girl contest. When she was on "Dancing with the (c-level and out of work) Stars", I was thrilled that my Mom gave the seal of approval to my Pop Culture Crush.
(yes, I'm pathetic)
Straight-up TV's a much better fit for her, anyhow. Her build and looks don't equate to wrestling. Wrestling's sleazier, but Normal TV will do a better job of showcasing her. In other words, on wrestling you'd see maybe 5 seconds of Stacy Ass. On Normal TV you won't see as much, but she'll seem classier and cuter. If that makes sense.

Good for Stacy. The shelf life of a WWE diva isn't typically too long anyways, though it seems Lita and Trish Stratus have become exceptions.

Torrie Wilson has been around for a little while now, too, especially if you count her stuff with WCW.
You could say the same with Victoria, but she's been mostly seen as a women wrestler, which i what I think Triash is seen as, too. By that, I mean moreof a diva on the side, rather than purely being a diva, like Maria, Kristal, Christy...you see where I'm going with this.
