Title: Introduce yourself...

Real F'n Show - January 12, 2005 03:54 AM (GMT)
This was requested a few days ago, and I thought it was a good idea, since I don't know everyone who's signed up so far. Basically, if you post under any other name on some other board, tell us what your other identities are, so people around here can get to know you better.

I've used Real F'n Show my whole message boarding career. Yeah, I used to mark for RVD...

TehDoct0r - January 12, 2005 09:24 AM (GMT)
I'm not significant at all on any other wrestling boards. I was a big contibutor on the GAMETIME forums a few years back, and last year I was heavily involved in the BUZZKILLER site, but they're both pretty small.

The Shadow - January 12, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
Dynamite Kido invited me here as we both post on the virtual wasteland that is the IWC messageboard. I also post at DVDVR, WrestlingClassics, and OLC under various other names.

SamoaRowe - January 12, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
I'm TheManErnieRowe on most wrestling message boards that i've been to. I'm Jukes_Pirate in yahoo group boards.

The Last Free Voice - January 12, 2005 04:17 PM (GMT)
I'm LastFreeVoice Everywhere. I started posting at TSM, which I found (once upon a time, a long time ago) from 411Wrestling, where I thought Scott Keith was the bomb... Yea. Crappy beginings for a crappy poster. You all know the rest...

Scrooge McSuck - January 12, 2005 04:50 PM (GMT)
I require no introduction :D My most recognized name's are Bring Back Charlie Ward (in protest of the Knicks trading him away) and Man of 1,004 Modes (I don't get it really either). Everywhere else I post I may visit once a year. I also post regularly on JD Storm's message board as BlackScorpionV3 where I mainly post tape reviews.

Oooooh, okay. I remember you from that other message board now. That's cool.

I'm working on breaking free from that site now, just because i have eight pages of my dairy there (which I cannot wait to repost it all here).

D.A.V.E. - January 12, 2005 10:56 PM (GMT)
Well, everyone knows me as Dave O'Neill, since I prefer to use my name on them

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 11:06 PM (GMT)
I'm Mad Dog. I post on a few boards under various names. I'm probably most known by the people here for posting in the TNA folder at TSM.

dynamite kido - January 12, 2005 11:47 PM (GMT)
I'm Dynamite Kido, mostly people recognize my name from TSM.....were I started my posting career. I also post at SmarksChoice, iwcwrestling.com, and I post on some other sites under a different name. I always use the same name on wrestling forums though.......

Big F'N Swigg - January 20, 2005 02:07 PM (GMT)
I'm TheBigSwigg. That's my name everywhere else. I've only posted on TSM and briefly on the TNA messageboards.

whitemilesdavis - January 20, 2005 05:16 PM (GMT)
All the boards I've posted on, I've either used whitemilesdavis or josh. I've mostly posted here and TSM, where I am also whitemilesdavis.

Heretic - February 18, 2009 10:36 PM (GMT)
Hello! This is my first post so I wanted to get things off on the right foot. I've been looking for awhile for a new wrestling-themed message board and this looks like a great place. My era tends to be mid-80s to early-90s, with a bit of a renaissance in the early Monday Night Wars (NWO era). I also have an interest in AWA and WWA history, particularly in the Chicago area, although I wasn't actually alive in that era.

Things I find really, really refreshing about this board. First, the Obama wins! thread. Most of the wrestling boards I've posted on are very right-wing. Gleeful posts about what a leeching bitch the octuplet mom is. I had sort of given up ever finding a wrestling-themed board where people were a little more moderate and reasonable and not so much into the judging and namecalling. I had just assumed that wrestling fans lean hard-right. I don't expect to find unanimity of political viewpoint here, but it's refreshing just to find anybody who voted for Obama at all.

Second, I've posted on KM, the former Old School Wrestling, Sports and Wrestling, and had a cup of coffee in the OLC before calling the health inspector. As much as I like those boards (except OLC), there's a lot of redundancy in "the usual suspects." It's nice to be at a board with some different people and some different perspectives.

Third, people seem very respectful here--- although that's just a first impression. You're not running "Douchebag of the Year" tournaments as a vehicle to insult one another.

Fourth, a comics board where people think Final Crisis is a flaming pile of poo and Grant Morrison is an overrated hack. That's when I decided I had to sign up.

Anyhow, it's nice to be here and I look forward to the exchange.

Sounds like you'll dig this joint. I'm a big 80's/90's fanboy as well, so I'm thrilled that you're here.

Speaking for myself, I rarely visit any other wrestling boards (aside from KFM), so that may be why I have a different outlook on things. Example: my unrelenting HATE for Internet-fave Raven.

We're pretty respectful, as most of us have been living together on this lil' Board for a few years, now. Sort of like if the cast of "Police Academy" moved in together and had a low-rated, yet long-running sitcom (heyyyy..didn't that really happen?!)

We can be juvenile, which is why the Flame Wars folder exists. But nobody's ever gotten offended or pissed off. I think we've had one scuffle, but that was cleared up, no feelings were hurt and we continued on. No angry posts or feuds...we all just seem to get along and know it's not the end of the world if we happen to miss an episode of "Smackdown".

Oh...and no gigantic pictures of Shawn Michaels in anyone's signature, either.

Heretic - February 18, 2009 11:03 PM (GMT)
Hallelujah.

By the way, are you dWs on KM?

Suddenly I'm reading an eye-chart....

Erick Von Erich - February 19, 2009 07:15 AM (GMT)
Yeah, that's me.

Although I think I stil have an old membership over there, since about 2001, under my old name.

The Swigg Lebowski - February 20, 2009 02:02 PM (GMT)
Douchebag of the Year Tournament? That sounds like fun. I vote for Scrooge! Bastard hasn't shown up enough in the past year. I feel like a guy who lost a friend to a girlfriend.

Anyhow, HI HERETIC. I can completely sympathize with your plight to find polite, non-right leaning comic book and wrestling nerds online. Although, I AM a HUGE Raven mark. I'd flip off EvE, but he can't see it.

So Welcome, dude. Chillax and enjoy the board.

(I'm waiting for some hate for the "Chillax")

JimBob Skeeter - February 27, 2009 02:58 AM (GMT)
I think if we're going to have a douchebag tournament, EvE is going to win.

;-)

Howdy, Heretic! Is that Nick Bockwinkle as your avatar? If so, nicely played. If not, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

As for oher board names, I've been JimBob Skeeter on the intarnet since '98. My first two years on the web I was Aldo Montoyota (yeah, yeah, original) on Solie's board, then that went to shit and I changed my name. Anyone here ever go to Solie's when it was open?
