| OVW TV TAPING SPOILERS by Mike Vicars & Will Turpin @ 1:06:00 AM on 6/29/2006 Dark Matches: 1st: Eric Craven vs. Seven Winner: Seven, hit a spinbuster to get the pinfall 2nd: TJ Dalton vs. Miz w/ Roni Winner: Miz via pinfall by hitting a swinging inverted DDT Robby Dawber hosts another episode of “Sports Entertainment Tonight” with CM Punk as his guest. Dawber began by asking Punk to explain the whole straight edge thing. Punk does and is then chided by Dawber for not “acting like a true champion” and partaking in a few drinks. The Rob-goblin was kind enough to have brought along some already made “goblin-tini’s” and admonished Punk to have a drink. After a few moments of Punk teasing like he might take a drink, Dawber ended up wearing the drink courtesy of CM Punk. Punk went on to say that he and Kane were going to dismantle Shad Gaspard and the Neighborhoodie at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom . TV taping begins: We start out on the monitor with Armando Alejandro Estrada announcing that the main event of the card at this Friday’s Kentucky Kingdom match would be Rey Mysterio vs. either CM Punk or Seth Skyfire. Those two would have a match at tonight's taping and the winner would be the one to face Mysterio. 1st. Elijah Burke & Shawn Spears vs. Deuce & Domino Spears had Deuce up on the corner doing the 10 punch when Domino jumped up on the apron and grabbed Spears by the hair and slammed his head into the ropes. Deuce then pinned the stunned Spears. Winner: Deuce & Domino 2nd.”Showtime” Vic Grimes vs. Cody Reynolds Grimes went for a vertical suplex when Cody Reynolds countered it and rolled Grimes up in a small package for the pin. Winner: Cody Reynolds 3rd.Los Locos vs KC James Before the match started KC James came out saying that Roadkill was stuck at the airport and should be at the arena within the next 5 minutes. KC requested that the match be delayed in order for Roadkill to have enough time to get there. This was a curious turn of events since Roadkill had been seen at the arena earlier in the day by some fans. Anyway, the ref denied delaying the match so KC James was forced to have a handicapped match against Los Locos. KC started out strong, but began to lose steam 5 or 6 minutes into the match. A couple of times KC turned to his corner as if to make a tag to someone who wasn’t there. Finally Roadkill comes running to the ring, suitcase in tow, and lays everyone out with a series of clotheslines. Roadkill then threw Los Locos into the corner and got ready to do his running splash, when KC pushed him back and got up in his face. KC and Roadkill proceeded to have a confrontation when Romero Loco pushed KC into Roadkill. Roadkill went down and Romero rolled KC up for the pin. Winner: Los Locos. After that match KC and Roadkill continued their argument with KC yelling that he was finished and storming to the back, so I guess that’s the end of that tag team. 4th. Sosay then came to the ring and proceeded to spend 5 minutes introducing a new wrestler who was a “legend among men, and a man among legends” etc. etc. Who was this exciting new person to be? Could Sabu be making a one night appearance in OVW? Has Kurt Angle entered the building? I could hardly believe my eyes as “Fearless” Jack Bull dressed as Eviel Kneivel, smoking a cigarette, and staggering around as if he was drunk, came out to the theme song from Superman. The whole song had time to play before Bull finally made it into the ring to face an opponent that they didn’t even bother announcing. (I wasn’t familiar with him). As Sosay went up to the unnamed wrestler to ask him if he realized that he was facing greatness in Jack Bull, the great one himself, Fearless Jack staggered up behind him and rolled him up for a pin. Bull then staggered around the ring some more before mercifully exiting to the back. 5th. Pat Buck vs. Chett the Jett Winner: Chett the Jett by hitting a jackhammer to get the pinfall After the match Boris Alexi and Mr Strongman came out and tried to doubleteam Chett. Chett laid Boris out with a stiff forearm, and then he and Strongman traded forearms, and acutally took a pretty good bump thru the ropes and onto the floor. While those two tussled on the outside, Boris got up and locked on his standing armbar on an unsuspecting Pat Buck. After Chett finished with Stongman he came back to the ring and threw Alexi through the ropes. Boris stormed out after signaling that he and Chett would probably face again. 6th. Seth Skyfire vs. CM Punk ( heavyweight title on the line) Before the match began Miz came out and began ragging on both Skyfire and Punk. Punk finally, mercifully spared us anymore of this torture by slapping Miz right in the middle of a “hoo-rah”. Miz then left, and a great match ensued. Punk and Skyfire had what was probably the best match I’ve seen in OVW since Punk’s match against Brent Albright for the title. There were several near falls, a few highspots, and overall just some good back and forth action. The match ended by Punk locking on the anaconda vice, Skyfire reversing it, Punk getting out of it only to miss a couple of right and left swings. Skyfire than landed a knee to the head and rolled Punk up for the pinfall. Winner and new OVW heavyweight champion as well as OVW TV champion: Seth Skyfire. This was an okay show with a very good main event. Why can’t WWE see that CM Punk has forgotten more about being a great professional wrestler than the Miz ever knew. Punk is the definition of a main eventer, as anyone who has seen his ROH work knows, and if a creative team can’t come up with anything for him than that team needs to step aside and let someone that knows what they’re doing have a shot at it. Seth Skyfire and Chett the Jett are also two guys that WWE should seriously think about adding to their roster. A little character development with these two would go a long way as they are both very solid workers. Anyway, thanks for reading, until next time. http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18848&p=1 |

| OVW TV TAPING SPOILERS by Mike Giralico @ 9:52:00 AM on 7/6/2006 Several dark matches opened the night: Shelly defeated Jennifer Mae with the Unprettier. This match was spotty at best. Shelly doesnt seem confident leading a match yet for some reason. Jack Bull defeated J Mann by count out. Sousay came out and introduced Bull as a man who had traveled the world and had dinner with the Pope. Bull staggers out, and runs to the concession stand to grab a hot dog. He then runs to the back and Sousay begs for time for Bull to digest. J Mann took off to the back after Bull as Bull appeared through the side door of the arena. He then stood in the ring as the ref counted J Mann out. Mr Strongko choked out TJ Dalton. Dalton tried to start a USA chant and the crowd actually countered with a RUSSIA chant for Strongko. Dalton got in little offense and Strongko locked in the Tazmission (I cant spell the hold's actual name, sorry). Chuck Evans defeated Pat Buck. No further comment on this match. The taping begin with Armando Alejandro Estrada on the Tron hyping Mysterio coming to Six Flags Friday as well as Punk vs Mizanin for the OVW Title that night. Elijah Burke then comes out dressed like Apollo Creed in Rocky IV, complete with "Living In America" on the PA. He also had two bikini clad women with him (one of which was Jennifer Mae). Burke stated this was his tribute to America's troops overseas and proceeded to belt out America The Beautiful, which garnered another Russia chant from the crowd. Burke finished his song and left. The Untouchables defeated Shad & The Neighborhoodie in a non title match. Very short bout, Deuce countered a rollup by The Neighborhoodie to score the win. Afterwards Deuce and Domino yelled to be handed the belts but Shad and Neighborhoodie held them high as the backed out. Odd match as the crowd didnt know who to cheer for it seemed. Shawn Spears defeated The Miz after CM Punk appeared at ringside to distract Mizanin. Spears and Mizanin had a solid match that featured some nasty chops traded back and forth. The Miz cut a promo post match saying that after he beats Punk Friday he is going to tattoo his name of Punk's (I'm not making this up) "Turd Cutter". Aaron The Idol & Arakaus (??) vs KC James & Roadkill went to a no contest. I don't know who this guy with Idol was as I have never seen him before. He was wearing something resembling a yellow and black vinyl gladiator outfit. Arkaus opened the match and when he tagged Idol in Idol turned around and threw him headfirst into the turnbuckle. Roadkill looked confused but squared off. Idol quickly grew frustrated and grabbed a chair, but KC took the chair from idol. KC of course then turned on Roadkill and laid him out with a chairshot. Idol and KC glared at each other as the crowd chanted for KC. Idol and KC left separately. Cody Runnels defeated Eddie Craven by pinfall. Cody did a lot of selling in this match as he continues to do on house shows as well. Solid enough offense from him but still seems to be looking for his groove, it's to be expected though as he just debuted 2 months ago. The crowd support for him seems to be growing. Seth Skyfire defeated Brent Albright to retain the OVW TV Title. Skyfire got a lot of boos in his intro. Crowd was hot for Albright chanting for the Crowbar through out the match. This was a very good back and forth match up between these gentlemen. Seth would get in some high flying moves then Albright woudl take him down and work over his left arm. Albright had the crowbar locked in but Seth rolled over to the ropes. Albright drug him back to the middle of the ring and locked it back on, Skyfire tried to roll around to the ropes again but the time stopped halfway through and pinned Albright. Post match the two shook hands. http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=18958&p=1 |

| Matches for TV: 1) Charles Evans beat Pat Buck. Squash. Evans didn’t look very good and won with a bodyslam. 2) Elijah Burke beat Shawn Osbourne. Slightly more competitive squash. Burke now does a patriotic gimmick. The two blondes he has been dancing with during his entrances have now been replaced by Victoria Crawford. 3) Cody Runnels beat KC James by DQ. James is great in his old school Tommy Rich gimmick. Runnels needs experience. Aaron Stevens interfered on behalf of James which prompted Roadkill to clean house and make a challenge for a tag match at Six Flags. 4) Simon Dean beat TJ Dalton. Even though he always jobs, Dalton is catching on with the Davis Arena crowd. Dean won decisively. Afterwards, Al Snow appeared on the big screen challenging Dean to a tag team strap match at the upcoming Six Flags show. Snow’s partner will be Brent Albright (and yes, that was the name that was used). Dean accepted the challenge but wouldn’t name his partner. 5) Seth Skyfire & CM Punk beat Deuce & Domino (with Cherry). A bit sloppy but really good. I like Punk and Seth as a team. Both guys are on a roll right now. Deuce & Domino have a great gimmick and have gotten much better in the ring. 6) Danny Davis made a rare appearance. He thanked the crowd for making OVW a success at Six Flaggs. He was interrupted and attacked by Mikey (Mondo) and Johnny (Jeter) of the Spirit Squad. This beatdown was VICIOUS!!!! Davis took some hard chair shots. Mondo and Jeter were relentless. The locker room cleared out as the babyfaces helped Davis to the back. Best OVW angle in a long time. |

| Close 7/29 OVW SIX FLAGS RESULTS FROM LOUISVILLE, KY by Mike Giralico @ 1:05:00 PM on 7/30/2006 I missed the show on the 29th, this show was a follow up to the results of that night as a make up date for the rained show a couple of weeks back. Two "dark matches" opened the night. Shawn Spears defeated Mike Kruel with a drop kick. Chett The Jett, Brent Albright, Cody Runnels and Sean Osbourne defeated Idol, Rod Steele, John Bolen and Eddie Craven after Steele passed out in Runnels' Sleeper. OVW's theme hits and Dean Hill makes his way out to welcome us to the show. He announces that since The Miz and Burke went to a double count out the previous night in their loser leaves town match that a result would be reached tonight in a 2 out 3 falls affair. Also we would see The winner of the battle royal from the previous evening, Jack Bull, challenge Seth Skyfire for the TV Title. Lastly he announced that The Untouchables would face off against Shad & The Neighborhoodie for the right to face the new tag champs - CM Punk & Seth Skyfire at the TV taping this Wednesday. Kenny Bolin then hit the ring. He was incensed that his own mother had turned her back on him last night and cheered for Jerry Lawler. Bolin was going to do what Chuck Evans couldn't do the night before and finish Lawler himself. Bolin then issued an open challenge to Lawler saying he would fight him any place and anytime. Lawler's music then hit and Bolin was shocked. Lawler explained he didn't have to leave town until Sunday so he would gladly accept the challenge right then. Bolin backpedaled saying he pulled a hamstring. Bolin then said if Lawler defeated a wrestler of his choice he would fight Lawler. Roadkill defeated KC James with a top rope splash. KC was supposed to wear a diaper due to losing the night before. KC refused. Roadkill made quick work of KC then post match put the diaper, a bonnet and baby powder all over an unconscious KC. Sousay then came out an announced we would see Jack Bull's latest sensational stunt. He was going to ride a motorcycle down the ramp and into the side of the ring to catapult himself into the crowd. Bull staggered out and got on the bike, revving it up hard. He lurched forward and stopped, then lurched again and dropped the bike. Bull leap up holding his hands in the air victoriously. Seth then came out for his match with Bull. Bull hugged Seth and offered him his flask, Seth refused and Bull took another swig only to find it empty. Bull was enraged that Seth drank all of his whiskey. Another short bout, Bull did attempt to cover Seth twice but grew frustrated the ref wouldn't count as Seth was face down on the mat each time. Seth ended up getting a simple roll up on Bull for the win. The Untouchables defeated Shad Gaspard & The Neighborhoodie to become the #1 Tag Title contenders. Hoodie & Gaspard spent most of their time trying to impress Cherry with their skills. Deuce was back to more of his faster in ring action he used prior to teaming with Domino. I'm guessing The Untouchables are faces now. Elijah Burke defeated The Miz 2 falls to 1 and The Miz is gone from OVW. Miz won the first fall his feet on the ropes, Elijah won the second with a sit out power bomb, on the 3rd Miz low blowed Burke behind the ref's back, then Roni threw a chair into the ring. The ref saw the chair and tried to throw it out, Roni threw in a another chair and kept the ref tied up while Miz missed Burke with the chair. Burke then hit Miz with The Experience on the chair for the final pin. Lawler came out and had to face Jacob Duncan as Bolin's mystery Challenger. Lawler brought Bolin's mom to ringside as his guest. Lawler defeated Duncan with a stunner to get five minutes alone with Bolin. Bolin tried to blindside Lawler but Lawler no sold it. He beat Bolin down into the ropes and let Bolin's mom slap him. Chuck Evans hit the ring and attacked Lawler long enough for Bolin to escape. Lawler however took out Evans then hit him with his 2nd rope fist drop and had the ref count the pin fall over Evans.
