Dark Match:

Shelton Benjamin d. Harry Smith by using the ropes

Smackdown:

Battle Royal for rights to face World Champion at GAB: Brian Kendrick, Finlay, Funaki, Jamie Noble, Mr. Kennedy, Kid Kash, King Booker, Matt Hardy, Paul London, Psicosis, Scotty 2 Hotty, Simon Dean, Super Crazy, and William Regal participated. We didn't know that the winner would face Rey at GAB because the PA system was down. Final three are Booker, Hardy, and Regal, with the King throwing out the other two to become #1 contender.

Miz proclaimed the return of Batista. During the show they kept showing Batista career highlights and Mark Henry injury highlights.

Krystal interview with Rey Mysterio, welcoming the challenge of King Booker at GAB.

Mr. Kennedy d. Super Crazy when Psicosis interfered.

Pitbulls d. Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki.

Tatanka and the Great Khali goes to a no contest. Before the match, Daivari rolled down a casket and challenged the Undertaker again to the Punjabi Prison Match at GAB. When Khali ordered the casket to be opened, smoke erupted from it and the Undertaker accepted the challenge.

Vito d. Psicosis when Super Crazy interfered.

US Champion Bobby Lashley d. Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms in a Champion vs. Champion match.

GAB Card is ran down, added to the previously mentioned matches is Lashley vs. Regal vs. Finlay in a triple threat match for the US Championship.

Mark Henry backstage interview, basically saying he isn't afraid of Batista and that his return will be the shortest ever, etc.

Batista returned to a massive ovation and immediately called Henry out. Henry responded, only to turn back around. World Champ Rey Mysterio comes out to attack Henry, but Henry shoves him off. Batista goes crazy here and attacks Henry using steel steps and a chair, making him bleed. The show ends with Batista celebrating his return and triumph over a not so bloody Mark Henry.

Well, at least Batista's return sounds decent enough. Everything else though sounds awful.

Plus, we get Booker vs. Mysterio at GAB? WTF are they thinking? You know, besides giving Booker the title.

Colcollazo - July 4, 2006 09:49 PM (GMT)
Doesn't look awful at all, it's a decent show as always. Much better than Raw at least.

A dark match that should get online; sounds like a good match. Does this mean Smith is officially with WWE now? He's been working a lot of dark matches lately, plus he dropped the AWA Pinnacle Heavyweight title at the end of May.

A who in the what now? Like a bootcamp match/no DQ match? Sounds like crap.

Something about that just sounds funny to see. What makes it so funny is that Undertaker and Khali are so serious and stupid looking.

What is Vito doing winning matches? This cross-dressing gimmick is supposed to be punishment, but he's getting minor push and winning matches on Smackdown. I suppose it's more to punish him more so everyone can see it. And winning the is to put over the Psicosis/Super Crazy feud.

Sounds fun. Two different styles, but it has two decent workers. I like Helms and Lashley is on my good side.

One word: Awesome.

Fantastic. You have to admit, you'd like to see Batista do the spinebuster on Henry and Batista Bomb him. ...And then as Mysterio is celebrating, turn on him: Clothesline him, pull him into a spinebuster, and then Batista Bomb him, too. That would be a decent feud.

SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 04:42 PM (GMT)
Like Colcollazo said, sounds like a decent show, maybe even very entertaining show.

eStragand - July 5, 2006 04:55 PM (GMT)
Pitbulls? That seems....random. Isn't one of them dead? It'd be easy to re-package a new guy as "Pitbull #3", though.

SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 05:07 PM (GMT)
The new Pitbulls are actually Jamie Noble and Kid Kash.

eStragand - July 5, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
I did not know that. Once again it's my old "don't really follow" excuse.

Please tell me they're not wearing the vinyl leather outfits of the old Pitbulls. Don't need more of that.

SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 05:56 PM (GMT)
No, they just come out wearing collars and chains, no leather... yet. Also, I haven't seen them do this on tv, but they were barking to taunt the audience at the house show Plague and I went to a couple of weekends ago.

Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 06:15 PM (GMT)
Wouldn't they work better as the Moondogs?

dynamite kido - July 5, 2006 07:29 PM (GMT)
Don't they need Kash in ECW?

Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 07:32 PM (GMT)
I'd rather him stay on Smackdown where he has a spot in the tag team and cruiser divisions instead of getting squashed by call ups and such in ECW.

dynamite kido - July 5, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
Meh, I'm not exactly thinking that they are going to use them to the max on SD either.

Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
They won't be used well at all but I'd rather have Kash where he can potentially have good matches on tv or PPV.

SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 08:44 PM (GMT)
So far the Pitbulls have been receiving a nice push. They are beating jobbers and lower card guys right now, but they are winning matches and likely will be the next to challenge London and Kendrick for the tag titles.

Plus, at the house show they challenged Kendrick and London and it was a freaking awesome match.

prof_plague - July 5, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
The match was great because it had good chemistry and audience psychology; yet, it only had a few spots, and it had no high spots, at all, for a twelve to fifteen minute match. So, something about it was just right.

SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the match was low on high spots, it was just well worked. And I think London did fling himself over the ropes at one point, though I could be mistaken.
