Title: OAO Television Thread: July

Real F'n Show - July 3, 2006 03:15 PM (GMT)
For tonight they've announced:
DX is banned from Raw. I smell tanks and camo...
A Pick-Your-Partner Triple Threat tag match with RVD, Edge, and Cena. I'm guessing Sabu, Foley, and Flair respectively...
The debut of the Highlanders! Awesome.
Mad Dog - July 4, 2006 08:33 PM (GMT)
Those DX segments were some of the most awful things I've ever seen on tv.
dynamite kido - July 4, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
Yeah, they were pretty bad. It's sad how Raw has now become the DX/Mcmahon variety hour now.
Mad Dog - July 4, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I knew that was going to happen when they reformed. It's only going to get worse too.
dynamite kido - July 4, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
Yep. Poor Edge, it seems like they always manage to steal shine from him when he's the champion......
Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
<_< I understand RVD had to job but to the Big Show? ECW is dying a pretty quick death if you ask me.
S.T. Strickler - July 5, 2006 03:07 AM (GMT)
I'll say it right here and now: I hate the fans in Philadelphia.
dynamite kido - July 5, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
Actually, I thought the Philly fans livened it up a bit this week.
I guess they are fully punishing RVD for getting caught with the weed.
prof_plague - July 5, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
It was a good match though. By the way: Big Show is now an WCW, WWE, and ECW champion. I was thiking the other day, "You know, I wonder who is goig to be in the HoF that's on TV now." I thought and thought, without having Big Show on my mind for more than a few days; then, all of a sudden when I'm at work, "Hey. Big Show seems like a decent pick for a future HoF, and not one off the top of my head, either."

Real F'n Show - July 5, 2006 03:32 AM (GMT)
I'll admit, it was pretty fucking surreal seeing Punk cut a straight edge promo on WWE TV.
And fuck did this episode suck. No Sabu? And where the fuck is Gangrel? And Test?
The Last Free Voice - July 5, 2006 03:44 AM (GMT)
WHO CARES? THE WWE IS SAAAAVVVVEEEEDDDD! CM PUNK IS HERE TO SAVE WRESTLING!

He was supposed to be in the main event, but was pulled off the show because of the drug charges.

:Does Pepsi Plunge on Real F'n Show:
Don't you ever say such things! A ten second promo is merely the start of his mark of stardom in the WWE, and his way to the WWE title!

DRUG FREEEEEEEEEEE!

RFS, you've just been Pepsi Plunged by the Straight Edge and the Hate Edge.
Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
Man, CM Punk is going to suck in ECW. He's not a carrier and he doesn't work well within tv time limits.
Also I think they should've just given the belt to Test. A better option than the Big Show at least.
The Last Free Voice - July 5, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
I dunno, he's carried people before. A lot of the Raven feud was just him bumping his ass off for him...
Big F'N Swigg - July 5, 2006 05:11 PM (GMT)
CM Punk's promo is on ECW.com. Click on the main graphic, and scroll down
Mad Dog - July 5, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
His matches with Raven were terrible. Jeff Jarrett was having better matches with Raven at the same time and he gets nowhere near the hype that Punk does.

Punk should be fine in ECW. The thing that's gonna kill him is the lack of anything important to throw him in. But if they play up the straight edge thing with him, he'll be golden.
eStragand - July 5, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the brewing Hogan-Orton feud. Fans, it's the Rock n' Wrestling Connection, 22 years later!
SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
I like Orton as being the creepy stalker type intrigued by a much younger girl. It always helps when they let the wrestlers play themselves.

That Raven/Punk dog collar match was fantastic. I didn't think the Clockwork Orange House of Fun Cage match (or whatever it's called) wasn't as good to me. It had great spots and everything, but not what I was looking for as work. But then again, I should re-watch that match and give it another try.

WWE is jackin' my style. That feud had been going on in the background to my NWA: M-A game.
SamoaRowe - July 5, 2006 11:33 PM (GMT)
Yeah, well they stole my Foley/Flair feud, so I guess we're even.
On a side note, I know some of you remember my old EWR diary (The Rowe's WWF Game in the Fantasy folder). Well, I was playing that game for years before I started the diary. Before, I made Rob Van Dam the WWE Champion. Within a couple weeks of game time from him winning the title, I got a notice that he needed to go into rehab. I just love how it played out that way in real life too.

You mean some people DON'T turn the channel when Orton comes on?

I usually pay attention because what Orton has to say is usually unintentionally amusing.

The Last Free Voice - July 6, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
I like Orton. He's one of the few things that has gotten me interested again lately.
Mad Dog - July 6, 2006 12:20 AM (GMT)
Raw is a real shame. They're doing some good stuff with Cena and Edge but it's all getting horribly overshadowed by the DX garbage.
Mad Dog - July 6, 2006 12:31 AM (GMT)
Also the reaction of the little kid to Edge winning the title was priceless.
The Last Free Voice - July 6, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
Wait, Edge won the title!?!
