Let's spark some discussion in here folks.
Well...so much for that "retirement", Junior Seau, you egotistical cockbag.

LB Junior Seau Signs With Patriots 2006-08-18 The New England Patriots and Junior Seau agreed to a contract Friday, ending his brief retirement. The team did not disclose terms of the deal.
The 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker retired Monday after the Miami Dolphins cut him after three unremarkable seasons.
At a news conference announcing his decision, Seau, 37, said he still could play.
On Thursday, officials for the San Diego Chargers, his long-time team, confirmed Seau left a message for team president Dean Spanos alerting him he might sign with New England.
The Patriots needed another linebacker because Tedy Bruschi has a broken hand and Willie McGinest, a mainstay of their three Super Bowl titles, signed with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent. Chad Brown and Monte Beisel also are hurt.
Seau grew up in suburban San Diego and starred at Southern California before the Chargers took him fifth overall in the 1990 draft. He led San Diego to the 1995 Super Bowl _ its only appearance in the NFL title game _ but was cut in the spring of 2003.

The guy's a glory hound. He's only signing with the Patriots because they might win a Super Bowl. Then Seau could do his stupid "swing my fist and shake the turd down my leg" dance in a game that means something.
All I need to know about Seau I learned in November 1998. The Broncos were playing at home and John Elway was starting at quarterback after about five weeks off. The Broncos were 10-0 and Seau's Chargers were about 1-9. Elway, wearing a flak jacket, stumbled when he went back to pass and fell to the ground. Seau flew in, tagged him so he could get the sack, then did his stupid dance.
Seau would try to pick his spots so he could get sacks in other games, too. Third and 27 with a second string QB in there? Lookout, it's the Seau Blitz!!
There's "intensity", then there's "being a self-serving asshole".
Fuck you Seau.
That trade the other day really has me scratching my head. I don't really see how Atlanta and Washington got anything great especially for what they gave up. Denver made out really well though.
Washington got TJ Duckett... not really an upgrade, but they needed a new back to toss out there, with Cliton Portis injured/whining. In that regard, it addressed their need.
Atlanta doesn't really have a standout WR. They still don't, but they now have Ashley Lelie. In fairness, Lelie made some good catches in his four years in with the Donkies....but just some. Too often he would see that he was beat on a route, then try to lobby for the interference call. He learned that from Rod Smith, but Rod would at least make an effort to catch the ball. Unless it's thrown RIGHT TO Lelie, he won't make an effort to catch it.
Denver needed to get rid of Lelie..and they got two conditional draft picks. The second pick will be either a third or fourth rounder, depending on how both teams finish this year. Washington and Denver seem to be buddies, now... this is the second time in two years they've helped each other out (first being the big Portis-Bailey swap...in which Denver also got a pick they used for Tatum Bell).
