Title: Why I think I really DO hate John Cena...

Just something on my mind that I wanted to get off my chest....Originally posted on The Cage Effect about 2 minutes ago...

Here goes. John Cena is the point of much debate on this board, and the internet over. Usually, the conversation goes something like this:

"Cena fucking sucks dude, he can't wrestle"

"Actually Cena CAN wrestle, the WWE just chooses to use his character in a way that projects that image. Of a brawler, who doesn't rely on technical skill"

"Nah dude, he fuckin sucks ass"

And so on. Now in all honesty, I turned on John Cena HARD following his move to RAW and overall blandness as a character. Around Wrestlemania 22 is when it really peaked, and I f'n hated him and thought he was just horrible. I was pissed when Triple H didn't come away with the title.

However, once the crowds turned on him, I relished it, but started coming back to him. Especially after people were turning on him just to be in the cool population of "Cena Haters". I actually find Cena to be a very entertaining character, mainly due to his edge from the split reaction, and I maintain that he is THE MOST OVER guy on the roster. The important thing in the wrestling business is just getting a reaction, and he has two different parts of the crowd fighting over who can be louder in their stance. He's doing well.

Now to my point. I've defended Cena, with this whole "WWE doesn't let him do his thing" talk, because I genuinely believed it. I recently watched Cena's debut match v Angle, and while he wasn't horrible, he definitely wasn't anything special. Still very kick and punchy. Still, I was on his side.

Then there was tonight. Cena gets paid A TON OF FUCKING MONEY to do something a lot of people would do for free, or for a signed t-shirt. He gets to wrestle on live TV, in front of thousands live, and in front of millions around the world. Alot of people on this very board want to be in that spot someday. Alot of people that DEFEND him want to be in that spot someday. But tonight, Cena pretty much lost me.

When Sabu made his run in, he gave his trademark chair throw. And what did Cena do? He put up his hands like a little bitch. I thought "Cmon, that was pathetic". Then outside the ring, Sabu grabs the monitor. What did Cena do? He put up his hands like a little bitch, not even close to taking the shot. I thought "Dude, come on, you get paid to do this". And lastly, Cena is "laid out" on the table from the "viciousness" of those first two shots. Sabu goes up top, to do a spot he has done THOUSANDS of times, and what is the "laid out" Cena doing? Looking up at him, watching his every move, and then turning his head at the last minute. Way to help me suspend my disbelief here Cena.

First off, as anyone who has dabbled in any kind of wrestling can tell you -- a chair shot really doesn't hurt that bad. It may stun you at very worst. I got hit with chairs for fun in my backyard in high school, for free. John Cena literally makes MILLIONS of dollars, and can't take a chair shot from a 15+ year veteran in Sabu?

I won't even listen to people that tell me this is an isolated incident. Cena does it repeatedly. He doesn't do the little things, and that is why John Cena sucks. Now, on technical skill alone, who fucking knows, cause we don't get to see it. But from what I saw tonight, and what I've seen in the past.....

Fuck John Cena, cause he can't wrestle.
