Title: Ring of Honor Question
Mad Dog - June 17, 2006 02:25 AM (GMT)
I noticed we rarely talk about the shows anymore. Is everyone essentially indifferent to them as a promotion now or what?

The CZW feud and lack of any new exciting matchups lost me. If they start putting out some new ideas, I'd checkum back out. But for now? Meh.

I like the CZW judging by reading results alone, and I'm planning on checking out 4/22 on DVD for the 6-man tag between Joe/Pearce/Whitmer and Hero/Necro/Super Dragon which is getting rave reviews.
I'll probably pick up the 3 Dragon's Gate shows too. I was at the two Chicago ones and had a blast.

I have no desire to see anyone involved in the CZW feud not named Joe or Hero. Just doesn't do it for me.

I've hardly kept up with any wrestling recent, let alone anything that's not on TV that I forget about in the first place, and am too poor to buy indy DVDs. (Staches away new stack of WWE DVDs.)

The ROH-CZW feud has killed me

I still enjoy ROH and I have most of their shows except for about their last 3 or so. My problem is that I'm about 11 shows or so behind and I haven't had ANY time to catch up as I watch them in order.

I know I've been a big basher of RoH but I'm going to tell you why I stopped caring. The RoH/CZW feud was mostly the final straw with them. I don't give a crap about CZW and it just seems like RoH encouraging their fans to kick the douchebaggery up a notch. The treatment of Christian Cage at a recent show is another reason. The fans are just douches and they have no real respect for any wrestler. Just the smark flavor of the month.
But those are mostly side shows to the main reason. The promotion just got boring. Most of the main event style matches have been done to death. I'm sorry but Danielson/Cide Part 25 doesn't interest me. They also insist on keeping boring feuds like Daniels/Whitmer alive. The roster in general is another reason for my boredom. I don't like Claudio or the students. I liked Miliano Collection AT but Gabe ran him off by being hard to work with. It's also been 4 years and they still don't have a tag team division. Honestly Danielson is the only reason for me to even watch at all now.

With the rate that I keep up with ROH, I tend to see shows about six-ten months after they happen. Seriously, I'm still catching up with last summer's antics with CM Punk and Gibson.

I've just gotten into it, and I love it. Hardly Indifferent.
Watched Best in the World, with KENTA & Marafuji v Joe & Danielson.
Then started the Triple Shot.
Watch DragonGate Challenge awhile ago, which was a pretty damn good show.
Just finished Supercard of Honor, which was FUCKING GREAT. I don't even know how long the show was, but it was stacked, and was incredible. Featured the incredible Do Fixer v Blood Generation matchup, as well as Strong/Danielson World Title match. Had a great Sydal & Styles v Aries & Evans match, and a great 6 Woman Free for All as well. This show was just fuckin great, and featured everything.
I personally love everything in the CZW feud so far, and don't get the hate for it. I like it, and it has me hooked, and is making a huge Hero mark out of me.

I was up waiting online saturday night for the results to Danielson/Cabana. I was actually hoping for a Cabana win. I'll probably want to get that dvd later on.
