I am so not getting it. The first reason is because Judd fucking Winnick is writing and second is because it's going to be Jr. as Captain Marvel and not Billy. Oh well, I never and will never expect DC to actually try and do Captain Marvel right.

Capsule review for Winnick's new Captain Marvel/Shazam book, issues 1-10

-Dr. Sivana and/or Mr. Mind mess with Cap and spout off "hipster lingo" like "I am SO going to smack you down, Marvel".

-A BOMB goes off

-Someone has "special feelings" for a character of the same sex.

-A minority character appears. If Latino, he/she will use that stitled Chris Claremont foreigner dialect, like "Madre Chinagata!! That building's going to fall and kill someone! Hurry amigos*!!"













* "amigos" = "friends"-- Ed.

It's only a limited series so the damage he'll do won't be too much. I have to say Winnick might be at the top of my list of writers I can't stand currently.
