Title: Do you think RVD will win the WWE title?

Yeah, you read the subject title. Do you think RVD will win the WWE title?

On one side: RVD is mega-over.

One the other side: RVD became an established wrestler through ECW.

I know there's more to it, but those are the two main thoughts that keep coming into my mind. Any one else have any thoughts?

The main problem I have with it right now is that RVD isn't that over any more. A couple of years ago, he was the most over person on the roster, and got held back. Now, he's stale as green bread and gets pushed to the moon?

I don't think that RVD has a stone's throw in hell of winning that title unless they have some HUGE storyline thing to put over the WWE as the heel in the situation. Otherwise, there's no way that RVD is winning....

What about ONS, though? I think people are expecting a big finish. I had another thought, too, what if RVD wins the title, but is stripped of it because he's not a WWE wrestler?

Or what if that match doesn't even main event the show?

If the match is completely overbooked, as discussed earlier, all will be fine.

Unless they plan on making it the ECW Title and having one champ for both "WWE" shows, I don't see it happening.

First, RVD is definitely NOT "mega-over". At all.

I see two screwy finishes in both the RVD/Cena and Rey/Sabu match. Then they go with Sabu/RVD in the first major program for the ECW World Title.

I doubt it. Giving him the title now would be like admitting they were wrong back when they buried him in 01/02. Plus I don't see the benefit of giving him the belt at this point. His time was over when HHH pinned him back in 2002.
