Mad Dog - June 4, 2006 12:45 AM (GMT)
Bronson Arroyo having another great night at the mound and is 3 for 3 batting.

S.T. Strickler - June 4, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
Orioles lost two straight to the Yankees at home. New month, same crappy results.

Mad Dog - June 4, 2006 02:33 AM (GMT)
Is there a reason why the O's constantly have a sucky rotation? What's Benson making for his overrated pitching?

Real F'n Show - June 4, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
I wondered that myself actually. They should make a play for Zito.

Meanwhile, the Twins have turned their pitching around, but now the offense seems to be sucking it up. They made Kirk Fucking Saarloos look like Cy Young yesterday and Santana almost lost a game in which he had given up 2 HITS, before Morneau bailed him out.

Today, Radke pitches the game of his life (8 hits is GOOD for him) and loses 2-1.

Fuck my team.

eStragand - June 4, 2006 08:50 PM (GMT)
If Jose Castillo isn't last week's NL Player of the Week (may 28 - June 3), then the award is even more insignificant than it already is.

Watched Jamie Moyer blank the Royals on Friday night. Wow, the Royals are BAD. We're talking the Rob Deer kinda' bad. Then I remembered that Buddy Bell is their manager. That explains it.

Oh yeah, Mariners are running a funny commercial for Moyer. Moyer's agent is showing him the new promotional spot they've created for him. Starts in the 1930's and mentions that Moyer pitched the first-ever night game. Then it shows him in the 1970's pitching with the Indians and a poofy haircut. Funny stuff.

Big F'N Swigg - June 5, 2006 04:40 PM (GMT)
Watched the Angels MASSACRE the Indians last night. S-A-D.

Felt like I was watching Major League, honestly

Mad Dog - June 5, 2006 05:22 PM (GMT)
Man, the Reds killed the Astros over the weekend. Maybe they can actually gain some ground back on the Cards now that Pujols is probably gone for a month or more.

S.T. Strickler - June 5, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
Orioles killed the Yankees, smacking 4 homeruns in the process. Now hopefully they can gain some momentum from that win, and do decent against Toronto.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - June 7, 2006 03:17 PM (GMT)
With Pujols out, the Cards offense is starting to look real weak. Waiting and hoping for a Crawford/ Willis/ Soriano trade.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 02:39 PM (GMT)
Reds completed the sweep of the Cards last night. Losing Pujols really ripped the heart out of their offense. Edmonds is going to really have to step it up for them.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - June 8, 2006 03:56 PM (GMT)
Rolen and Edmonds have done well....but nobody else is doing jack shit, so we're in trouble.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 04:16 PM (GMT)
How long do they think Pujols is out for?

TheGreatWhiteChoate - June 8, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
4-6 weeks. If the Reds can play some consistent baseball, the Cards will probably be 3-4 games out of first at minimum by the time he gets back.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 06:23 PM (GMT)
A's/Indians are about to complete the first of a double header for today. Should be fun.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 06:27 PM (GMT)
Nevermind that, I don't know what the announcers were talking about last night when they said today was going to be a double header. Oh well.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 06:34 PM (GMT)
I think Nick Swisher is going to be a really special player in a few years. I've only gotten to see him a few times but he's been great those couple of times. Plus it's nice to see some of the players taked about in Moneyball enjoying success.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 07:03 PM (GMT)
A's get the win. Cleveland continues to be inconsistent.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - June 8, 2006 09:48 PM (GMT)
Oh God, they're confirming names on the Grimsley report. They've apparently nailed Sosa, and....Pujols' personal trainer.

I have to find a high ledge to jump off of now. Even if he didn't use them, he'll always be suspected now.

Mad Dog - June 8, 2006 09:49 PM (GMT)
I don't believe what another player says. This guy is just trying to bring everyone else down with him.

Real F'n Show - June 8, 2006 11:26 PM (GMT)
Baseball had been "boring" since Bonds hit 715. They had to stir something up for awhile until he passes Aaron...

Big F'N Swigg - June 9, 2006 07:14 PM (GMT)
Red Sox FINALLY beat the Yanks. Though it's not as much fun without bugging Scrooge about it

Mad Dog - June 10, 2006 01:19 AM (GMT)
Mets traded Kaz Matsui to the Rockies for Eli Marrero. Yeah whatever. Just shuffling crap there. They also gave up 4.5 million. On second thought Colorado robbed them blind.

It'll be fun to see the Mets totally gut their farm system again and probably miss the playoffs yet again.

Mad Dog - June 10, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
Just a side note. David Ross has been a real steal for the Reds. In 25 games he's hitting .344/.421/.719 with 6 HR and 18 RBI.

Mad Dog - June 10, 2006 02:40 AM (GMT)
Fucking Griffey. Way to swing at the first pitch thrown at you and kill the rally tonight.

eStragand - June 10, 2006 04:55 AM (GMT)
Umprie Laz Diaz is commemorating the recently deceased Eric Gregg in his own way. Diaz is expanding his strikezone to Gregg-like proportions. You should have seen the erratic expanse he called in Friday night's Giants-Pirates game.

S.T. Strickler - June 10, 2006 01:26 PM (GMT)
Orioles should've won last night, but that stinkbag LaTroy Hawkins blew the game in the 8th for them.

Real F'n Show - June 10, 2006 05:27 PM (GMT)
Hope you're enjoying LaTroy, Strickler. Keep him for awhile.

MORNEAU BITCH.

Mad Dog - June 10, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
I'm looking at another 8-2 week in fantasy baseball. Even with Sheffield and Pujols on the DL my team is still destroying everyone. My worst week to this point has been 5-5.

Real F'n Show - June 11, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
Twins comeback falls short after Cuddyer slam. Fuck you, Carlos Silva.

S.T. Strickler - June 11, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
Cabrera shuts down the Twins for 6 innings, and then it takes BOTH John Halama & LaTroy Hawkins just to get out of the 7th. Good thing for Chris Briton and Chris Ray.

Real F'n Show - June 11, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
Twins blank the O's 4-0 as The Phenom goes 7 allowing 1 hit.

S.T. Strickler - June 11, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
Inconsistency is a trademark for the Orioles.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - June 11, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
Cards lock down in the pen and hold the Brewers to 5, take two out of three.

S.T. Strickler - June 11, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
Hey, remember when the Brewers started 5-0? Yeah, me neither. They sunk big time.

Mad Dog - June 12, 2006 02:19 AM (GMT)
I feel bad for the Brewer fans. The team has been on the verge of greatness for a couple of seasons now but management will never spend the money to put them over the top. When do Carlos Lee and Ben Sheets become free agents?

Mad Dog - June 12, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
So my fantasy team is now 66-30-4 and I'm 7 games ahead of the second place team.

Mad Dog - June 13, 2006 02:36 PM (GMT)
The stupidity in my league continues as a team dropped J.D. Drew for Rich Aurillia today.

Real F'n Show - June 13, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
Twins start a series with the BoSox tonight. Johan vs. Schilling.

Big F'N Swigg - June 14, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
Looks like a good matchup

Real F'n Show - June 14, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
Santana K's 13 through 8 but the Twins offense continues to blow. They're in extras now and the Sox are about to win it because Jesse Crain is coming in...
