Title: MD's Fantasy Fed

Mad Dog - January 9, 2005 10:24 PM (GMT)
Ok this is going to be based on a card game that came out in the late 80s called Champions of the Galaxy. Basically each card has a move list on the back and each character has stats that effect how well they perform. The game is actually still going strong today and has had close to 40 editions released. I've actually had match types published for this game system. Just keep in mind that I'm playing early on and the gimmicks are very 80sish when I introduce you to the characters.

Background:

The federation itself is called the GWF. At this point in the game it's existed for about 16 years. The founders were Omega and Morpheus (Omega's still around as a manager, Morpheus has been MIA for awhile). In 2086 a wrestler by the name of Thantos broke what was called the Galactic Code (it was basically the Code of Honor just thought up in 1986) and started a huge stable of heels. So that's basically the backstory. You get a lot of alien characters and the occasional time traveller appearing as wrestlers.

My fed has been going from the game years of 2087 and is currently in 2090. Thantos in my federation has basically owned the Galaxian Title (World Title) since I started. Holding it for roughly 32 of the federation's 42 months of existence. He's been on kind of a cold streak lately as he won the title back early in the year but lost it a month later to an updated Star Warrior card.

Roster:

Main Eventers:
Thantos (basically Ric Flair with a really really mean streak)
Star Warrior (Galaxian Champ) (the main rival of Thantos, similar to Hulk Hogan in that he's a very flawed face type character)
Wolf (Stone Cold Steve Austin about a decade before he hit the WWF)

Upper Mid Card:
Lord Nexus (Interplanetary Tag Champ) (similar to Ricky Steamboat by being the most upstanding character every seen in the game)
Pulsar Prime (Interplanetary Champ, Cruiserweight Champ) (young gun who was a lovable jobber until he recently became good)
Commander Sam (patriotic American type character)
Galactic Punisher (cop that's come to mess with the heels in the fed, sucks on the outside of the ring so he gets counted out a lot)
Iron Mane (interesting character, though he just started so I don't know much about him)
Bishop Hell (Kevin Sullivan in the 80s like, uses an illegal fireball as one of his finishers)
Comrade Terror (lizard looking kind of guy, pretty much just likes to beat people up)
Bounty Hunter (in the GWF to hunt the Ani-Men characters, those would be Wolf, Badger, Iron Mane and Battering Ram)
Spike (from a race called Aethrans, they live to fight and conquer and are typically the best wrestlers you'll find in the game)
Exo-King (playing a king of course, has implants in his arms that make him super strong, though he's struggled a lot in my fed)
Invincible Krakan (basically does whatever to win, his recent card has really made him a lot weaker)

Mid Carders:
Incredible Badger (mostly a tag wrestler)
Battering Ram (a good brawler and tag wrestler)
Massif (HeavyMetal Champ) (he'd be your typical hoss in the WWF, power wrestler all the way but he's still young and has trouble with being consistent)
Billy Jo Boxer (Interplanetary Tag Champ) (a tag wrestler all the way, you'll see him in some singles matches though)
Renegade (insane brawler)
Mesmer (wizard type character, killer finisher for a average wrestler)
Actagon (tag wrestler, really don't use him as a singles guy)
Proteus (tag wrestler, kind of a drunk)
Earthquake (total tag wrestler, he's completely lost when stuck in a singles match)
Pit Viper (recent heel turn has made him a very over heel, wears a mask due to having his face scarred from an attack a few years ago)
Executioner (time traveller, the gimmick speaks for itself)
Splatter (carries a club around known as Arsenal, hardcore brawler)
Death Masque (below average character with killer offense, recently a jobber until he was upgraded)
Brute (Galaxian Tag Champ) (half of the most dominate tag team)
Massacre (Galaxian Tag Champ) (other half of the most dominate tag team)
Matter (tag wrestlers, hasn't been around long so I'm iffy on the personality)
Anti-Matter (see above)
Tongsoon (lizard looking, similar to Terror's character)
Killer Queen (cross dressing high flyer)
Mad Jester (Holovision Champ) (similar to heel Doink the Clown)

Lower Carders/Jobbers
Adam Blast (young guy who works with Commander Sam)
Ghengis Khan (you guess it time traveller)
Mitsuko the Mongol (tag wrestler)
Terak (barbarian type character, has a lot of odd pets that he keeps around, upgraded but he's still a jobber)
Lightening (decent high flyer drug down by a crappy tag partner)
Man-Mountain (fat guy who gets pinned easily but has a decent offense)
Mutant (weird looking creature that's a brawler)
the Creeper (one of Terak's pets who's gone bad, brawler)
Vanity (Ric Flair like attitude, kind of fun to use despite his crappy inring ability)
Reptillo (loser that hates being a loser and turned heel to try and turn it around)

Tag Teams:
Greek Gods (Actagon and Proteus) (decent team though not keeping up with the increased competition)
Star Fighters (Star Warrior and Pulsar Prime) (part time team, probably the only team that can dethrone the Gladiators)
TitanPower (Lord Nexus and Billy Jo Boxer) (Interplanetary Tag Champs) (upper tier team)
Animal Pack (Incredible Badger and Battering Ram) (good team but not quite able to hang with the top teams)
PowerHouse (Massif and Earthquake) (good team but has trouble with the top teams)
the Barbarians (Terak and Renegade) (jobber team)
Western Powers (Commander Sam and Adam Blast) (part timers, mid card team all the way)
Norse Gods (Lightening and Man-Mountain) (not great but they pull off a lot of upsets since Lightening is a decent card)
Eastern Dynasty (Ghengis Khan and Mitsuko the Mongol) (they suck)
Ultimate Gladiators (Brute and Masscare) (Galaxian Tag Champs) (recent upgrade has seen them dominate like the Road Warriors in the 80s, even the best team looks like jobbers against them)
AlienCorps. (Comrade Terror and Tongsoon) (they do ok but don't click as a team for some reason or another)
Satanic Cult (Thantos and Bishop Hell) (part time team that's around to counteract the Star Fighters mostly)
Cosmic Forcers (Matter and Anti-Matter) (still new to me so I don't know a lot about what they can do)
Shop of Horros (Death Masque and Pit Viper) (decent and fun team, very unpredictable)
Nightmare (Executioner and Splatter) (mid-card team that's very capable of upsets)
Royal Creeps (Killer Queen and Mad Jester) (high flying team but both are better as singles)
Creature Feature (Mutant and the Creeper) (suck)

So that's the roster. I'll try to update as I play which can be inconsistent. I play it every day sometimes and don't touch it for weeks at a time. So hope you guys enjoy something a little different. I'll probably just do chunks of results at a time since the smaller cards are mostly squash matches and all the big stuff happens on PPV cards.

Scrooge McSuck - January 9, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
Whooo, I'll be reading. I actually bought the first set of Legends of Wrestling cards from the company that releases this, and was always wondering how good the Galaxy sets were.

Mad Dog - January 9, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I have the first two sets of the Legends stuff as well. I'd recommend the second set because it has the Midnight Express in it.

Scrooge McSuck - January 9, 2005 10:36 PM (GMT)
I gott remember about getting the 2nd set. With that, making up shows will be slightly easier since the first set only had (I think) 23-24 wrestlers.

Mad Dog - January 9, 2005 10:42 PM (GMT)
Here's the contenders list for my fed just to give you an idea of how people are performing. It's based on W-L record and is slightly biased against rookies. Each title used to have a list but I've condensed it all into one to make things easier.

10. Norse Gods

Mad Dog - January 9, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
I think the way I'll do results is just posting the tv tapings by date and then give each PPV a post followed by updated standings. I'll do brief angle reviews for you after every show as well.

Real F'n Show - January 10, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
Sounds good. I'll be reading/commenting.

Mad Dog - January 10, 2005 03:04 AM (GMT)
This is the last card I did. It happened to be a PPV card so that works out. I don't really have angles at the PPVs unless it directly involves a match. I'll do a recap of all the angles after the results for you.

Galaxian Bash: 5/27/2090

No.1 Contenders Tag Gauntlet:
AlienCorps. d. the Norse Gods w/ the Atomic Warhead (jumping piledriver)
Nightmare d. AlienCorps w/ the Headsman Guillotine (clothesline off the top rope)
Powerhouse d. Nightmare w/ the Double Quake (opponent basically gets pancaked between the two) to become the No.1 Contenders for the Galaxian Tag Titles

Mad Jester © d. Commander Sam w/ the Jagged Edge (dropkick with illegal objects in the boots) to retain the GWF Holovision Title

Titan Death Match:
Iron Mane d. Spike w/ the Final Pounce (cross body block from the top rope)

the Greek Gods d. the Cosmic Forces w/ the Grecian Sleeper Grip

TitanPower © d. Shop of Horrors w/ the Titan Drop (samoan drop) to retain the GWF Interplanetary Tag Team Titles

Thantos d. Galactic Punisher w/ the Masterlock (figure four leglock)

Cosmic Cage Match:
Wolf d. the Bounty Hunter w/ the Savage Face Claw

the Ultimate Gladiators © d. Animal Pack w/ the Decapitator (double running clotheslines) to retain the GWF Galaxian Tag Team Titles

Pulsar Prime © d. Invincible Krakan w/ the Solar Strain (leglock) to retain the GWF Interplanetary Title

Star Warrior © d. Bishop Hell w/ the Cosmic Big Bang (450 splash) to retain the GWF Galaxian Title

Angle Recaps:

Wolf and the Bounty Hunter have been having a very bloody feud for most of the year. They've gone through about every violent gimmick that I've been able to think up. This was actually the first win in the feud for Wolf. Wolf lost the last cage match they had because Bounty Hunter's manager Reynard B. Guile paid Krakan a large sum of money to injure Wolf before that match took place. It was money well spent as their combined efforts managed to break Wolf's ribs and he was easy prey for the first match. Wolf was in much better condition for this match and it showed.

The Mad Jester continues to make a name for himself as his almost year long feud with Commander Sam continues. Sam is starting to look like the aging wrestler that he is in this series. The Jester easily beat him for the Holovision Title earlier in the year and this was Sam's first chance to win it back. At the next PPV it's probably looking like a 2 out of 3 falls match for these two.

Powerhouse has earned yet another No.1 Contenders spot for themselves but the problem is it's against the Ultimate Gladiators. The Gladiators have been on a role since their Cleansing after last year. A Cleansing is a ritual the Aethran people go through to make themselves stronger. They've squashed everyone they've faced accept for the Star Fighters. Pulsar has been campaigning for the Star Fighters to be next in line for a title shot after Powerhouse.

The Cosmic Forces continue their battle with the Greek Gods. Their manager Doomsayer has called the Gods outdated and to be no match for his team. The Greek Gods are behind in the feud but the PPV win might give them new life.

Thantos is now looking to move on to other things. He's tired of being hunted by what he calls a rent a cop. The Star Fighters sudden interest in the tag titles has got him wanting to tag with Bishop Hell some more. Nothing would be better than taking a title from Star Warrior.

Darkos (manager of Shop of Horros and Nightmare) is still pissed about TitanPower taking the I-P Tag Titles from Nightmare a few months ago. He's sworn to bring the belts back to the Masked Assassins stable.

That's it for active angles right now. A lot of things got resolved feud wise at this show. I'll try and do match ratings from now on.

Mad Dog - January 10, 2005 07:16 PM (GMT)
Warfare taping:

Reptillo d. Adam Blast w/ a flying tackle

Adam Blast started the match off strong and even had a few near falls. The tide turned when Reptillo countered a turnbuckle move. Adam Blast made some brief comebacks throughout the last half of the match but he never seemed to recover from hitting the turnbuckle. The end came when Reptillo countered an irish whip with a flying tackle and got the pinfall. Rating: **3/4

the Royal Creeps d. Eastern Dynasty w/ Checkmate (Boston Crab)

Almost a total squash for the Creeps. The Dynasty got a few moves in but they were quickly cut off. Rating: *

Iron Mane d. Vanity w/ the Final Pounce (cross body block off the top rope)

The rookie continues to impress as he made short work of Vanity. It was all Iron Mane in this squash match. Rating: *

Bishop Hell d. Terak w/ Hellfire (illegal fireball)

It went back and forth in the early sections but Hell gained control and never let go. After dominating the match he capped it off with the illegal Hellfire move. The ref missed it so he was able to get the pinfall. Rating: *1/2

Invincible Krakan d. Mesmer w/ the Hitman's Card (the Stroke)

Mesmer started the match off strong with a lot of submission holds but Krakan's strength was too much. Krakan looked to have the win a few times until Mesmer countered a clothesline and was back in control. It was short lived though as Krakan powered out of another move and took control. The match was back and forth at this point until Krakan finally hit the Hitman's Card and got the pinfall. This match went a long way in silencing the critics that were saying Krakan was on the downside of his career. Rating: ***

the Cosmic Forces d. Animal Pack w/ the Negative Charge (electric charge)

This match stunned everyone as the Badger just seemed to get caught in Matter's offense and then got finished off by Anti-Matter quickly. Two straight losses for Animal Pack is an unusual sight. Rating: 1/2*

the Ultimate Gladiators © d. Powerhouse w/ the Decapitator (double clotheslines) to retain the GWF Galaxian Tag Team Titles

Powerhouse tried to put up a fight but the Gladiators were just too much for them. The Gladiators again completely squash a top calibur team. The Star Fighters have been awarded the next title shot so they might have a challenge for their next match. Rating: *1/2

Main Event:
Galactic Punisher d. Comrade Terror by DQ

This was a great back and forth match. Both men had the other beaten at various points in the match with the other narrowly escaping each time. It looked like the Punisher was about to put it away when Comrade Terror bailed out of the ring. The Punisher left to follow and got met with a chair from Terror. The ref DQed Terror for his actions and gave the Punisher the win. Terror wasn't finished yet as he continued to beatdown the Punisher with the chair until security dragged him to the back. There's already been a rematch signed. Rating: ***1/4

Angle Recaps:

Bishop Hell appears to still be in the title picture as he made a promo saying their feud wasn't over yet before his match. Star Warrior has yet to comment.

In a few weeks the Ultimate Gladiators will have to defend the tag titles against the Star Fighters. The Star Fighters are the only team to have a pinfall win over the Gladiators since their Cleansing. Everyone is eagerly anticipating this match because there's a great potential for the titles to change hands.

There's rumors starting to fly around that Animal Pack is looking for another match with the Cosmic Forces. They were extremely disappointed by how quickly they lost on Warfare. Omega might even be considering it for the next PPV to freshen things up since the Forces have faced the Greek Gods at the last few PPVs.

Wolf and the Bounty Hunter have agreed to a Falls Count Anywhere match as their next match. No one is sure when this feud will end because these two can't seem to get enough of beating the hell out of the other.

The next PPV is the Rigel Royal Rumble and the 36 Rumble Participants have been announced and the entrance order:

1. Vanity
2. Battering Ram
3. Terak
4. Killer Queen
5. Death Masque
6. Adam Blast
7. Lord Nexus
8. Tongsoon
9. Earthquake
10. Reptillo
11. Mesmer
12. Renegade
13. Mad Jester
14. Mutant
15. Mitsuko the Mongol
16. Bishop Hell/Star Warrior (depends on who wins the title match)
17. Pulsar Prime
18. the Creeper
19. Spike
20. Massif
21. Splatter
22. Commander Sam
23. Wolf
24. Invincible Krakan
25. Galactic Punisher
26. Billy Jo Boxer
27. Comrade Terror
28. Thantos
29. Executioner
30. Ghengis Khan
31. Pit Viper
32. Iron Mane
33. the Bounty Hunter
34. Massacre
35. Exo-King
36. Incredible Badger

Mad Dog - January 11, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
Fever tapings:

Executioner d. Mitsuko the Mongol w/ the Headsman Guillotine (clothesline off the top rope)

Fun back and forth match as Mitsuko put up a surprisingly good fight. The Executioner was just too much though. Rating: **1/2

Splatter d. Ghengis Khan by DQ

Another surprising match as the much weaker Khan put up a huge fight. Both exchanged pinfalls throughout the match until it finally went out of the ring. Khan was then DQed for using a chair. Splatter grabbed Arsenal and beatdown Khan until Mitsuko made the save. Nightmare and the Eastern Dynasty will be facing off on the next edition of Warfare over this. Rating: ***

TitanPower © d. Vanity and Reptillo w/ the Titan Drop (samoan drop) to retain the GWF Interplanetary Tag Team Titles

Total squash as the Titans just toyed with their inferior opponents before Lord Nexus finished them off. Still entertaining though. Rating: **

Comrade Terror d. Terak w/ the Atomic Warfare (jumping piledriver)

It seems the jobbers really came to wrestle today. Terak dominated this match until he missed a splash from the top rope and was quickly finished by Terror after that. Rating: **

Mesmer d. Death Masque w/ the Blackout (sleeper hold)

Mesmer made quick work of Death Masque as he got his Blackout hold on earlier. And as seen with Mesmer that usually ends a match with mid carders. Rating: *

the StarFighters d. the Cosmic Forces w/ the Cosmic Big Bang (450 splash)

This was an incredible back and forth tag team contest. Both sides hard near falls but it ended when Star Warrior hit the Cosmic Big Bang. Rating: ***1/4

the Satanic Cult d. the Greek Gods by DQ

Very short match until it went outside and Proteus got caught using a chair. Proteus is a known hot head so no one was surprised. Rating: *

the Ultimate Gladiators, Spike and the Bounty Hunter d. Wolf, Iron Mane and Animal Pack w/ a falling knee crush

Iron Mane didn't even tag out in this match as the other team just took turns beating the hell out of him. Ended when Massacre hit a knee off the top. Rating: **

Angle Recap:

Comrade Terror and the Galactic Punisher will be facing off in a Cosmic Cage Match on the next edition of Warfare.

Darkos has continued his threats against TitanPower. Though no one is sure who he'll be sending after them next. He'll probably be giving Shop of Horrors another chance while Nightmare builds up more wins.

Thantos is already trash talking about winning the Rigel Royal Rumble. He won the last one and expects to win it again so he can get a chance to regain the Galaxian Title.

After the show Wolf clobbered the Bounty Hunter with a chair and chased his manager Reynard B. Guile to the back as the show ended.

Mad Dog - January 11, 2005 01:24 AM (GMT)
Also just to add. Pulsar Prime is currently the Interplanetary and Cruiserweight Champion. So if they win he'll have three titles.

I'm doing this basically because the guy was a complete jobber before getting an updated card in 2090. So I've been pushing him super hard to establish him as a real threat. Hence why he's been winning almost every title in sight.

Scrooge McSuck - January 11, 2005 01:30 AM (GMT)
Sounds like something I would do... (aborts Chris Benoit mission in SD:SYM). I love how these card games work... or whatever it's called. I haven't used my LoW set for quite a while.

Mad Dog - January 11, 2005 01:33 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I love the random factor. Though it worries me with title matches. I've been lucky because the main title has only changed hands 6 times in 4 years and there's only been 4 champions. The lower titles can get a little out of control with changes though.

Mad Dog - January 11, 2005 05:59 AM (GMT)
Warfare taping:

the Norse Gods d. Shop of Horrors w/ the Mountain Slide (falling body slam)

The Norse Gods pulled off an upset as Lightening countered an irish whip and took control of the match. Man-Mountain came in and quickly finished it with the Mountain Slide. Rating: **

Commander Sam d. Mutant w/ Sam's Atomic Drop

Back and forth for awhile until Sam's superior strength got him ahead in the match. Mutant put up a fight but it was all over when Sam hit his finisher. Rating: **

Nightmare d. Eastern Dynasty w/ the Headsman Guillotine (clothesline off the top rope)

Mostly a squash for Nightmare but Khan and Mitsuko put up a small fight. Splatter wore Mitsuko down so Executioner could finish him off. Rating: **1/2

Massif © d. the Creeper w/ the Volcanic Drop (running elbow) to retain the GWF HeavyMetal Title

The Creeper stunned the crowd hot and scored several early near falls. Massif fought his way back and finally retained his belt. Rating: *3/4

the Bounty Hunter d. Adam Blast w/ the Ambush (shoulder tackle while Guile grabs the foot)

Adam Blast had the Bounty Hunter on the ropes early but he just isn't skilled enough to beat an upper level guy. The Bounty Hunter slowly wore down Blast until Guile helped him hit the Ambush. Rating: **1/2

Pulsar Prime © d. Killer Queen with the Solar Strain (leglock) to retain the GWF Interplanetary Title

This one was all Pulsar as he continues to prove his recent winning streak is no fluke. Rating: *

the Cosmic Forces d. the Greek Gods w/ the Positive Charge (stronger version of Anti-Matter's finisher)

Another loss for the slumping Greek Gods. 2090 has not been their year as they continue to slide down the contenders list. This one was back and forth for most of the match but Matter's awesome offensive skills got them a late win. Rating: ***

Cosmic Cage Match:
Comrade Terror d. Galactic Punisher w/ the Atomic Warhead (jumping piledriver)

This was one of the most brutal brawls that the GWF has ever seen. Both men were bloody messes as they just abused each other with the cage. The Galactic Punisher seemed to run out of steam 3/4 of the way through. The end saw Comrade Terror just pounding the Punisher with move after move until the Atomic Warhead finally ended it. Rating: ****1/4

Angle Recaps:

No new angles were really added to this show. The Cosmic Forces/Greek Gods feud has been put on hold for awhile so the Forces can face Animal Pack at the PPV. The Comrade Terror/Galactic Punisher feud only lasted 2 weeks but it's officially over as well.

SamoaRowe - January 12, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
Interesting concept, dude. It's great to have some more variety in the folder :) I hope the randomness factor doesn't hurt too much.

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 07:20 PM (GMT)
I've been playing for awhile so I've figured out how to keep the titles from flying around (mostly by not having many title defenses). I do a lot of squash matches as well to keep the upper card guys well built. Though it can be interesting when the huge upsets start happening.

I'll make a post later tonight with the about 4 tv tapings and the PPV results (if I get to it today). I finished the long awaited Star Fighters vs. the Ultimate Gladiators match and it ended up being a really great match.

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 07:21 PM (GMT)
Champions of the Galaxy

There's the homepage for the company that sells the game.

SamoaRowe - January 12, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the link!

EDIT: Ah yeah, I've seen this thing advertised in wrestling magazines before! For some reason I never thought to seek it out online.

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 07:24 PM (GMT)
Yeah, this has been a fixture in the PWI ads since the 80s.

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 07:30 PM (GMT)
The guy that runs the place is pretty cool. They come to Origins or Mid Ohio Con every year and bring a wrestler or two with them each time.

Wow, it's been around that long? I think I first bought a non-WWF magazine in 1998 and there was an ad for that game in it. It make sense though, some of the art at the site looks very 1980's-ish (which is a good thing).

Mad Dog - January 12, 2005 07:38 PM (GMT)
I'd also check out their Legends of Wrestling game. The set that's about to come out for it will have Bobby Heenan and Antonio Inoki.

I'm still wondering why I never looked into it before. How popular is the game, I don't think I've ever heard it mentioned before on other message boards?

I was wondering this too. My friend and I used to play Magic the Gathering like 8 years ago, and if it's anything like that, he'd probably be up for a game or two.

It's fairly popular. You just have to look to find the other players. Let me look around and I'll see if I can find a screenshot of the back of a card so you can see what it's like. I've never done 2 player though. It plays really well for a single player game.

The number following any move is what level of offense or defense you move to. You roll an offense move and then roll on the other guys defense to see what happens. Add one moves mean that you add one point onto their pin rating. The pin rating, you use the lower number for expanded rules, is the number you have to beat for the guy not to get pinned. Of course he fatigues as the match goes on. If you roll a finisher you go straight to the pin and add the finisher number to it. The Rope, etc. ratings are what column you roll on when that situation comes up on the chart. A being the best, B being average and C being terrible. The PWR and AG moves after some moves means that if the guy on defense has a better rating that he takes over control of the match. The CH H is one of the potential choices you can make. There's a chart for that as well.

Just a little note. The Cruiserweight Title has become the GWF X Division Championship. Now instead of meeting a weight limit the wrestlers have to have a certain rating for agility to be in the division. I did this mainly because there aren't many Cruisers at this point and things were really stale. This should pep things up a lot. Pulsar Prime will keep the title.

Angle Recaps:

Iron Mane vs. Mad Jester was signed to the PPV after the Jester attacked Iron Mane after his win over Killer Queen. Iron Mane came out later in the night and attacked the Jester after his match.

Shop of Horrors vs. the Norse Gods has been signed as well after Shop of Horrors beatdown the Norse Gods after their loss on Fever. Pit Viper and Death Masque have been extremely irritated as the inferior Norse Gods have had their number lately.

Nightmare vs. TitanPower has been signed for the GWF Interplanetary Tag Team Titles. Nightmare has been itching to get the titles back since they lost them to the Titans several months ago. Darkos has been campaigning hard since then for his men to get another shot.

Exo-King has challenged Wolf to a match at the PPV. As everyone has heard over and over; Exo-King believes that it's his destiny to wear GWF gold and he intends to earn a title shot by beating one of the biggest stars in the GWF. Exo-King has had many chances in the past and always seems to fall short. With the rumor of a huge talent influx for 2091 he only has 5 months before things get really hard for him.

Comrade Terror has challenged Massif to a match for the GWF HeavyMetal Title. Terror has been calling himself the king of the cage since his win over the Galactic Punisher last month and he thinks it's only fitting that the GWF's cage match title should be around his waist. Note: Comrade Terror d. Commander Sam in a ***** cage match on the first show I ever ran which is also the best match in my federation's history.

The angles look to be shaping up quite well, although most of the matches on the T.V. tapings look to be complete throw way. Before I go back and check who's a jobber, I can guess most of them are squash matches?

The first 4 matches are usually squash matches with maybe a match or two being between two lower card guys. The top 4 are usually matches that could go either way and I usually try to put on a good main event. I take a very old school approach to tv and PPV.

Scrooge McSuck - January 16, 2005 07:58 PM (GMT)
Who doesn't? I think what ruined wrestling today is giving away main event caliber matches every week for free (or as free as cable TV can be). I would drool over the chance of seeing Hulk Hogan or Ultimate Warrior wrestle on Superstars, which rarely happend. VERY rarely. Now... Hogan in 2002 wrestled on Smackdown nearly every week, but I still enjoyed it.

Mad Dog - January 16, 2005 08:01 PM (GMT)
Star Warrior vs. the Bounty Hunter is a very interesting matchup. BH had Star Warrior's number before he got the 2090 upgrade. So I'm interested to see if there will be a new Champ after the PPV.

Plus I'm hoping Comrade Terror can pull off a win and get the HeavyMetal Title. He doesn't get a lot of winnable title matches due to his character and associations. So it'd be nice to get him another belt since his Interplanetary Title reign only lasted a month.

Angle Recaps:

The Fever main event was signed due to Krakan and Star Warrior getting involved after the end of the Warfare main event.

Commander Sam will defend the GWF Holovision Title against Vanity at the PPV. Vanity doesn't win often but he can often justify getting title shots because he's a former Galaxian Tag Team Champion and Cruiserweight Champion. Sam has voiced disappointment over not getting a better match.

It seems Darkos and the Masked Assassins only goal right now is to soften up TitanPower before the PPV. The Assassins have attacked everytime the Titans have made any kind of appearance on tv.

Pit Viper grabbed the mic after Death Masque's upset of Commander Sam and went off. He was screaming into the mic about how sick and tired he is of losing. He promised that Shop of Horrors wouldn't be losing anymore.

Reynard B. Guile has been very excited since the Rigel Royal Rumble. He's been bragging to everyone how the Bounty Hunter's going to win the Galaxian Title. Many are doubting that possibility after Star Warrior made quick work of the Bounty Hunter during the main event of Fever.
