Incase I mention GAB in my newsletter, how does this work? Is this a PPV featuring all the NWA's or is it a 1 guy show? And how do you book matches for this? Everyone does a whole card, or you all move wrestlers around in your game and everyone books 1 match for each?

It's all the NWA companies together.

The 8 man tag decides who will be fighting for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

And there will probably be some interpromotional matches

jamiegeist - May 16, 2006 09:44 PM (GMT)
We will have 9 total slots on the show, 2 of which are already in use for the 4 way Title Match, and 8 Man Tag. We need to decide how we should elect the 8th man into title situation, both In-Game terms and out-of-game terms. That way we know if another slot will be used on NWA Bash.

So we'll plan on having 6 slot still available. I can tell you that one match will be an CSW v NEW match. That is really all we'd like to divulge at this point in time.

So that still leaves 5 or 6 spots, if anyone has any propositions.

Also, changing gears just a bit: I plan on opening a new game, signing the necessary talent and updating their stats, making the necessary adjustments to attempt to replicate the current situation as best, and so on and running the show to get us numbers and results.

The booking of the show will be a group endeavor, where necessary. All interpromotional matches will be decided between promoters, I would say.

And before this thread gets too long, I would urge Territories to make their announcement or arrangements for deciding their delegate into the NWA World Title Match as soon as possible, and probably no later than the June 24th Cyclone.

Edit: Oh, and to extend this even a bit more, not all matches on NWA PPVs need to be interpromotional. If you have a huge match you wanna do, then I think it is all good to go with that as well.

jamiegeist - May 18, 2006 06:22 PM (GMT)
Any thoughts at all, from anyone, on how to do the 8th spot? Or anything else for the PPV for that matter?

jamiegeist - May 22, 2006 05:48 AM (GMT)
CSW will be announcing its represenative in the NWA World Title Match on Cyclone, this coming weekend, June 10th. President Bret Hart has called a press conference in the afternoon inviting the 5 men he sees as potential candidates for this role. Watch Cyclone for the highlights!

Well, since PTL hasn't been playing lately, we could just make it a 6 man tag and that would solve the problem

jamiegeist - May 22, 2006 04:11 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure thats what we should do. I thought about putting a clock on PTL, but I guess we'll go ahead and wait till the Bash. If he doesn't show up by then, we'll draft his roster out.

So yeah, we'll go with a 6 man tag, followed by a 3 Way Dance for the NWA World Championship.

Any other ideas for the card?

Big F'N Swigg - May 22, 2006 05:28 PM (GMT)
We could all pitch in ideas for matches we would like to put on the card, and then have a committee vote.

That sounds like a good idea. Did you guys want to have all matches with companies facing off or were individual companies going to have a match of their own?

jamiegeist - May 22, 2006 08:34 PM (GMT)
I'd say both interpromotional matches and individual territory big matches are both good for the PPVs.

I really don't know that we'll need a committee vote. With the amount of space on the show (9 slots minus 2 being used = 7) remaining, we could just divide that up equally.

Its a matter of how you wanna use your spot. As I've mentioned, CSW and NEW will be doing an interpromotional match. So, 6 slots remaining, and 4 feds without a match.

So I think it should kind of be first come, first serve. If anyone has propositions or ideas, toss them out there. And if anyone has a problem, we'll shoot it down.

jamiegeist - May 23, 2006 12:10 AM (GMT)
NWA Central States and NWA Japan will have a promotional match to be announced.

NWA Central States is content, and doesn't need any more spots. So we have 5 open match spots remaining.

Big F'N Swigg - May 28, 2006 01:02 AM (GMT)
I'll offer up a Batista vs Regal match for the NWA Midwestern Title.

prof_plague - May 28, 2006 06:06 AM (GMT)
Right now NWA: Mid-Atlantic's biggest feud is Sting and Randy Orton, if you owuld like to add that to the card.

jamiegeist - May 28, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
Both have been added. Those 2 matches, the 2 NWA World Title Matches, and an interpromotional match between CSW & NEW, as well as CSW & NWA: Japan means we still have up to 3 remaining spots on the show.

jamiegeist - May 28, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
Something else I've been thinking about. Should we stick NWA: PTL's Champion Kurt Angle into the NWA World Title mix?

I would say that right at the Bash would be a good time to go ahead with a roster dividing of some kind with PTL.

Big F'N Swigg - May 28, 2006 07:22 PM (GMT)
I think it would be better to wait until afterwards. That way we've given him PLENTY of time.

jamiegeist - May 28, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
Well yeah, I meant shortly after the Bash. I was wondering about Angle though, cause he would be a good competitor to the matches, and I could see the appeal of having him in there, as he would probably be a free agent right afterwards. Just a thought.

prof_plague - May 29, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
NWA:NEW makes proposal for Great American Bash

Sources close to president Rowe speculate that New England Wrestling would be interested in adding Edge vs Christian Cage at the NWA Great American Bash. They are awaiting confirmation from the NWA Board of Directors.

jamiegeist - May 30, 2006 04:53 AM (GMT)
Would that be in place of Sting v Orton?

prof_plague - May 30, 2006 05:43 AM (GMT)
No, just another match to add.

jamiegeist - May 30, 2006 06:04 AM (GMT)
I think we should give DK and Rowe a chance to get a a marquee matchup first, if they so choose. I'm cool with no marquee match, since i'm doing 2 interpromotionals.

1. NWA World Title Match
2. NWA 6 Man Qualifier
3. Sting v Randy Orton
4. Batista v Regal
5. NEW v CSW
6. Japan v CSW
7.
8.
9.

Actually, there is still more than enough room, now that I look at it like that. So sure, I'd say its fair game to toss it in.

prof_plague - May 30, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
If no-one else wants to jump in, I would like to do an interpromotional match with someone. Just take a look at my roster and go for it and make some sort of challenge. But I don't want to take anyone else's spot while there's still a couple open.

Also, may be we could consider a tag team or mid-card NWA title match to add to the card.

jamiegeist - May 30, 2006 03:55 PM (GMT)
I think we should try the World Title, and see our successes and failures with it as a traveling title first, and then fill out the rest with a midcard and tag title down the road.

SamoaRowe - May 31, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
I'm sorry, that was me posting under Plague the other day. I would like to add Edge vs. Christian Cage for the Great American Bash under "Loser Leaves NEW" rules.

I should also mention that I'm moved back into my formerly flooded home, but it may be a while before we have working internet again. I'll have to rely on Plague and my girlfriend for internet access, so my shows might not be posted as consistently as they should be. I have every intention of having them up on time, but I may have some difficulties.

jamiegeist - May 31, 2006 03:33 AM (GMT)
Whoops, so that was Rowe wanting Edge v Christian. Still adjusting to whom is in which territories and all that. Sounds like a great addition.

jamiegeist - May 31, 2006 03:39 AM (GMT)
Card has been updated to reflect the recent talks. You all gonna get a respresenative to the World Title picture in the next week or two?

prof_plague - May 31, 2006 06:19 AM (GMT)
You're sending your current Heavyweight champ?

jamiegeist - May 31, 2006 06:20 AM (GMT)
It was announced on Cyclone Saturday Night if you'd like to read about it.

dynamite kido - May 31, 2006 02:50 PM (GMT)
I'll throw a match in after I get my supercard done for the Wednesday after this weeks Ichiban TV.......

jamiegeist - May 31, 2006 03:51 PM (GMT)
That made my head hurt -- but okay.

NEW would like to announce that the superstar representing NEW in the world title match at the Great American Bash will be the man who does NOT win the NEW Championship at River Rumble. This means it will either be The Rock or Chris Jericho.

Aside, River Rumble will be posted tomorrow. And I hate to send Jamie a spoiler, but he already knows who it is.

jamiegeist - June 12, 2006 07:37 PM (GMT)
It happens.
