Newswire For The Week Of January 9th!!!
1/9/05
ROH
January 9th: Mick Foley is said to be irate at the fact that Samoa Joe punched him in the face on 12/26. Foley feels that Joe disrespected him especially since Foley has been trying to get Samoa Joe a WWE contract. Joe was angry at the fact that Foley called him out on behalf of CM Punk on 12/4. Foley says he is looking forward to coming face-to-face with Joe this Saturday in Cambridge, MA. Foley told ROH officials that if Joe tries to throw another punch that he better be ready for some hardcore action.
January 9th: Becky has suffered a neck injury as a result of Lacey's DDT on 12/26. Becky is now out of action in ROH. Dixie & Angel Dust are furious. A grudge tag team match has now been signed for this Saturday in the Boston area. It will be Deranged & Izzy led by Lacey vs. Angel Dust & Dixie.
January 9th: Production is almost finished on the 12/26 event. CM Punk returns to color commentary on this historic show.
January 9th: More talent has been signed for "Do Or Die IV" on February 19th at the RexPlex in Elizabeth, NJ. Tickets are only $5 and you will see the best upcoming talent from around the country. Just signed are Puma, Fast Eddie, Josh Daniels and Steve Corino's students Ricky Landel & Alex Law. The DVD of "Do Or Die II & III" has just been released. You will get two big shows on one DVD including Austin Aries' ROH debut and matches like Roderick Strong vs. Jay Lethal, B-Boy vs. Josh Daniels, Super Dragon vs. Excalibur, Colt Cabana vs. Caprice Coleman, Matt Sydal vs. Delirious and more with some great talent like Jerrelle Clark, Fast Eddie, Dunn & Marcos, Rainman, Shawn Daivari and women's action.
January 9th: ROH officials are going to make an example out of Low Ki for striking referee Sean Hanson on 12/26. Breaking the Code Of Honor like this will not be tolerated. Do not expect Ki back in ROH anytime soon, if ever.
January 9th: James Gibson, formerly known as Jamie Knoble, has signed for the 3/5 event in Philadelphia. Gibson is the first member of the "dream team" that ROH is assembling for the six man tournament.
January 9th: Prince Nana with help from top lawyers in Ghana, West Africa got the following stipulation for John Walters' Pure Title defense on 2/19 at the RexPlex. Walters will defend the title against the winner of a match earlier on the card. The match will be Jay Lethal vs. Jimmy Rave. Nana laughed and said this will insure that the belt stays with The Embassy and that Lethal will never climb the card. Can Lethal defeat Rave and Walters in his home area of Elizabeth, NJ to be Pure Champion?

Is Low-Ki legit on the shitlist, or is he going to Japan again, or is he just refusing to job?
Mad Dog - January 9, 2005 10:54 PM (GMT)
It's hard to say with Low-Ki anymore.
Big F'N Swigg - January 9, 2005 11:00 PM (GMT)
I've never been high on him myself.

I like him but he's lost a lot from working in Japan. It seems to have completely gone to his head.

I enjoy him as a worker as well, but he seems like a dick.
Any thoughts on Noble's "dream" partner? I'm guessing Spanky.

I would agree. I find it hilarious though as he has done very little if any "great" stuff in Japan either. A few good matches.....yes, but something "great"? Nope.
