Title: The Daily Show & The Colbert Report

The Last Free Voice - May 11, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
Two of my faveourite TV's show, regardless of style. Also two of the most consistantly funny shows I can remember. Colbert Report has really come into its own as a show, with the W(/)RD being my faveourite Segment on either show. Last night's in particular just killed.

Discuss These Fine Fake News Shows.

Two of my favorites as well.

Honestly, I don't like the Daily Show stuff without Jon Stewart. Except maybe "Poll Smoking." Colbert, though, is hilarious

The Corespondants on the Daily Show are really hit or miss. Helms is usually on, and Rob is either really good or really bad. Poll Smoking was awesome though. Totaly came out of left field.

I'm trying to set up a Steven Debates Steven scenario for myself in my Government class, just so I can rant for half an hour.

I've never really cared for the concept of the show even harking back to the Kilborn days.

You know, I'm pretty impartial on these. I watch them from time to time, but honestly I couldn't watch them everyday.

Mad Dog - May 11, 2006 01:08 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I don't get how everyone watches them daily and watches both shows.

The Daily Show is good in small doses, but if I watched it every chance, I'd probably get sick of it quick. See also: anything on Adult Swim.

I don't watch either show every day, but I usually catch them two or three times a week, and I'm typically entertained.

I watch The Daily Show straight through every night. I ususally go to bed after W(/)RD on The Report. It's really the best way to wind down after a stressfull day.

I have to say that I like Stewart much more than Kilborn. But the problem is that they only really focus on one topic to start the show off, then move to an "in depth" report, then an interview. I'd actually watch it more if it they talked about more issues per episode.

Colbert, though, is the perfect thing to follow. His character is the brash old man to Stewarts snickering teenager

Stressful? Doing homework and watching TV is hardly such a stressful schedule, unless you mean the days when you can't think of 50 poems to write about why the world sucks ane everyone hates you.

Or, you know, trying to juggle school, working so my brothers and I can have a little bit of money once in a while, homework, and trying to find a little time for myself in a crowded house. Could be that. Fuckwit.

The Last Free Voice - May 18, 2006 01:04 AM (GMT)
Fucking double posts.

Scrooge McSuck - May 18, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)
Well, that called my bluff, and I just gave up a 3 run homer in my baseball game. That's what I get for being a dickhead.
