Spoilers according to Jason Head and PWInsider.com:

VELOCITY TAPING:

William Regal & Sylvan over Amish Roadkill & Casey James w/ Michelle McCool.

Road Warrior over Paul Birchell w/ a lady friend (?).

Bobby Lashley over TJ Dalton.

Gregory Helms over Mike Altiri (?). Mike Altiri announced from Cincinnati but appears to be Mikey Batts formerly of TNA.

Matt Hardy over Orlando Jordan.

SMACKDOWN TAPING:

Smackdown opened when Rey Mysterio came out to talk about being champ. JBL came out and confronted him. JBL mentions the illegal immigrant protests. blah blah blah - JBL says that he beat both him & Eddie. Rey says that he doesn't back down from a fight. JBL brings out Rey's opponent for tonight: Mark Henry. Mark Henry left the ring after a staredown so apparently that is the main event.

Booker T over Gunner Scott. Booker got on top of the announce table after the match and said to bad Angle got hurt because he was going to beat him.

Brian Kendrick & Paul London v. MNM was announced for the belts but MNM came through the crowd from behind and took them out.

Vignette shown on Tatanka featuring a "cleansing" ceremony with the Lakota nation. Another vignette promised for next week. Tatanka previously announced these at the WM22 breakfast in Chicago.

KOTR: Finlay over Chris Benoit - mostly technical mat work but pretty good.

Gymini w/ Simon Dean over Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki.

#1 Contender match for Cruiserweight Title: Nunzio v. Kid Kash v. Super Crazy - No Contest after Great Khali took them all out.

Mark Henry w/ JBL over Rey Mysterio.

Time for the dark main event, and what was locally advertised as the main event, JBL v. Mark Henry v. Rey Mysterio. The match saw Rey pin JBL.

Well, we get to see if Henry's good match with Rey was just a fluke or not. Khali squashing Crazy, Kash, and Nunzio just pisses me the fuck off. That match could really be great. Won't be, but whatever. And why does Tatanka have any vignettes playing about anything?

Scrooge McSuck - May 3, 2006 06:00 AM (GMT)
Smackdown looks very unimpressive. The Gymini squash the CW JOB Squad, The Great Khalua fucks up a perfectly fine 3-Way, no MNM/K&L, and TATATATATAnka is reintroduced, why?

Only bright spot looks to be Finlay/Benoit and the fact that they're actually building to an MNM/London and Kendrick title match...

Agreed. And that's especially strange given how poorly they usually handle tag belts. I'm sure they'll screw it up.

Quick question......I'm hearing a few people on the net talk about how Angle's injury messed up the KOTR tourney. Everyone does know that this is a worked injury, right? He is just taking time to do some regular healing. He didn't really break ribs, as evidenced if you watched Smackdown.

I've heard that Angle is having some severe arm and shoulder problems as well. He was never injured by Henry, but he's definately injured nontheless.

I've heard he is legitimately hurt.

jamiegeist - May 3, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
Right, I wasn't debating that he is hurt. Just saying Mark Henry didn't hurt him. I read somewhere, could have even been here, that someone was bitching about Henry first hurting Batista and now Angle. Just saying, sure he is hurt, but Henry didn't fuck it up or anything.

Real F'n Show - May 3, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
Since when has Angle NOT been legitimately hurt? The guy's been working through injuries (serious ones, too) since like Wrestlemania 19. He'll be in a wheelchair sometime in the near future.

It might have been me, though it was more to tease Mark Henry than to bitch about him. Mark Henry doesnt' have a rep for hurting people other than these past couple months.

Scrooge McSuck - May 4, 2006 02:37 AM (GMT)
The only person he "injured" was already wroking with a torn tricep muscle (or whatever). Batista was at risk for injury far more than if he were 100% healthy.

SamoaRowe - May 4, 2006 02:42 AM (GMT)
Yeah, and Angle is always injured anyways, its just a matter of how injured he is.
