Title: NWA Match of the Year Thread
Description: OMG~! ******~!
jamiegeist - May 2, 2006 08:30 PM (GMT)
Updated as of 11/12/06
I'll be keeping this updated with the top 10 matches of the year for the NWA. Will be kind of fun to see who is bringing the good and all that.
My method here by using the Overall score. In the event of a tie, the match with a better match quality score breaks the tie.
1. Les Bohemians (w/ Melina) vs. The Outsiders - NWA: M-A Saturday Night Flood, Nov. 11 (99/99/100)
2. James Gibson vs. Chris Jericho - NWA: NEW Methodical Madness, Nov. 24 (97/94/100)
3. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels - Last Man Standing Match - NWA: M-A Master and Commander, July 30 (95/91/100)
4.El Hijo Del Santo vs. Juventud Guerrera - NWA: Mexico Saturday Night September 16 (95/90/100)
5. Steve Corino v Brock Lesnar - First Blood Match - NWA: CSW Insurgency, July 30. (95/91/99)
6. Chris Jericho vs. The Rock-NWA: NEW Summerslam, August 20. (95/100/84)
7. Steve Corino v Brock Lesnar - NWA: CSW Redemption, June 30. (94/90/99)
8. Kane & John Cena vs. Christian Cage - NWA: M-A Saturday Night Flood, Nov. 11 (93/99/82)
9. Chris Jericho v Big Show - NEW Championship Match - NWA: NEW 32 Flavors, July 28. (93/97/87)
10. The Rock vs. JBL vs. Chris Jericho-NWA: NEW Saturday Night, August 26. (93/97/86)

Good idea! And how sad is it that Big Show/Kane vs Team 3-D is freaking number 3 :P
jamiegeist - May 2, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
Fuck if I know. We need to start cranking out some real matches, pronto, and knock that shit out of there.
Scrooge McSuck - May 3, 2006 12:21 AM (GMT)
Fuck you all, Kane/Show vs. 3D was awesome! WOOO! (obnoxious chanting)

Wow. The Outsiders vs. Backseat Men is my best overall match yet? Man, I better do some more serious booking.
Edit: Wait, I just realized we've only posted two shows so far. I'm a douchebag.
Big F'N Swigg - May 3, 2006 09:40 PM (GMT)
I can't believe Benoit-Sabu hit #1. SWEET
SamoaRowe - May 8, 2006 08:52 PM (GMT)
My Foley/Kane match got an 85 overall, so I guess that puts in in second place since the work rate wasn't so hot.
Big F'N Swigg - May 8, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
I've got Benoit vs Regal & Batista vs. Abyss this week. I'm expecting some good stuff from those two.
jamiegeist - May 8, 2006 08:57 PM (GMT)
Just updated it. Major shake up as Rowe's recent show and PTL's first supershow cranked out some serious action.
Scrooge McSuck - May 8, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
WOOO! Kane has 2 top 10 matches so far! Bow down, motherfuckers! N-E-W! N-E-W! N-E-W! N-E-W!
prof_plague - May 8, 2006 09:01 PM (GMT)
Man, if this is the case...just wait until things get established. Soon, Ultimate Warrior will have the number one match!
OK- that will never happen.

I'm sure there is a way. Just put him in a tag team ladder match with three of your best workers and be stunned at the results :P
::Remembers in my old EWR game, getting **** for Haas and Benjamin vs Randy Savage and Chad Collyer::
prof_plague - May 8, 2006 09:09 PM (GMT)
I wonder if my Chris Master/Sting would have been listed. They got a 79 overall and that includes masters with 35 overness.

Masters is only 35 over in your game? That doesn't sound right... he should at least be 36 over :P
jamiegeist - May 8, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
Yeah, we had this discussion. His numbers got fucked up somehow. Masters is a 70 over to begin.
Scrooge McSuck - May 8, 2006 09:16 PM (GMT)
70?!
(listens to Raw)
I say 35 is more than generous. :D

Done and Done. Looks for this is around July or August in the game.
jamiegeist - May 11, 2006 12:51 AM (GMT)
Updated. C'mon, someone crank something good out this week to bump Big Show off the list.

Its not Big Show's fault that his career is on fire :P
Scrooge McSuck - May 11, 2006 05:16 PM (GMT)
Let's go NEW! Let's go NEW! (waves Kane banner)
jamiegeist - May 16, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Updated:
We managed to remove Big Show, but we still have Kane v Foley, and now have a fuckin Hulk Hogan v Randy Orton dream match floating at #10 on death watch.
Scrooge McSuck - May 16, 2006 02:52 AM (GMT)
Fuck you, Kane vs. Foley = MOTY!~~~!
prof_plague - May 16, 2006 08:38 PM (GMT)
I can't believe Hogan/Orton made the list.
Scrooge McSuck - May 16, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
I can. Hogan, despite having shit workrate rating, is like 90-100 over. Even his worst matches will be **1/2.

I was referring to Orton. Orton lover! You love the suckbag. You would love to suck his bag anytime.
Mad Dog - May 22, 2006 09:28 PM (GMT)
Don't worry El Hijo Del Santo vs. Juventud Guerrera will be on this list come next weekend. It got an 88 overall.
jamiegeist - May 22, 2006 10:17 PM (GMT)
SPOILER!~~~~!~!~!
Glad Mexico is finally joining the fight. Booyah!
jamiegeist - May 23, 2006 04:46 AM (GMT)
Updated -- and Hogan falls.
prof_plague - May 29, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
You may have gotten rid of Hogan in the top 10, but it looks like Orton is moving up from 10 to 2.
Mad Dog - June 2, 2006 01:10 PM (GMT)
Ha!!! After this weekend El Hijo Del Santo will own 2 matches in the top 10.
prof_plague - June 2, 2006 05:41 PM (GMT)
I'm just glad to be on the Top 10 again. :D
Mad Dog - June 2, 2006 06:06 PM (GMT)
I'm going to own this list soon. There's an over 90 match on my show next week.
jamiegeist - June 2, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
*cough*Thought we weren't playing ahead*cough*
Mad Dog - June 2, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
I just have everything on a little notepad on my PC with all of the relevent info. My shows usually turn out better when I've already played like the last couple of weeks as opposed to this week when I played it as I wrote it.

Over 90, you say?
jamiegeist - June 5, 2006 07:46 PM (GMT)
Updated. Pretty major shakeup with a ton of top spots being dealt out to some....shall we say...Unlikely matches from Mid-Atlantic.
Mad Dog - June 5, 2006 07:51 PM (GMT)
No love for El Hijo Del Santo vs. L.A. Par-K which was an 87 overall?
