Title: Spoilers For Judgement Day

Mad Dog - May 1, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
The WWF is planning for JBL to win the title from Misterio.

TheGreatWhiteChoate - May 1, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)
*bangs head off desk

Mad Dog - May 1, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
Then I guess the plan is for RVD vs. JBL to main event the ECW PPV. This could all change though. It's just what's on the table.

Scrooge McSuck - May 1, 2006 12:52 AM (GMT)
So JBL will tank Smackdown while holding both titles... somehow, I fail to see this happening.

Real F'n Show - May 1, 2006 01:32 AM (GMT)
I'm sure Benoit will get the Useles...I mean US Title back for some more meaningless defenses against Orlando Jordan...

Princess Leena - May 1, 2006 02:55 AM (GMT)
Good. Mysterio needs to lose the title, badly.

Now, I just hope WWE doesn't stuff him back in meaningless midcard matches (ala Benoit)... and maybe gives Rey a real title reign, based on his own merits and popularity.

prof_plague - May 1, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
Wouldn't Rey vs. RVD make sense as both are ECW alum?

Scrooge McSuck - May 1, 2006 03:50 AM (GMT)
Whatever happend to Heel Cena vs. RVD at ONS?

prof_plague - May 1, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
Why take the belt off of Rey so soon? He's a good champion and could be legendary champion given the opportunity. Rey can't even get the belt for a couple of months and he's a draw and what the company needs right now.

Scrooge McSuck - May 1, 2006 03:59 AM (GMT)
Rey is a great wrestler, but the way he's booked, he'll never be a "legendary" champion. Legendary shouldn't even be used anyway, unless your name is Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, or one of the other very select few people in their level.

prof_plague - May 1, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
I figured "legendary" becaue I wanted something more to say than a "great champion". But that was also why I was given the opportunity he could be a great champion.

Scrooge McSuck - May 1, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
Great sounds more reasonable, but WWE already fucked it up before he even got the belt.

1. None of the "This is for Eddie" bullshit. JBL's promo last week sounded much like what we say. The fans aren't chanting for Rey, they're chanting for Eddie.

2. Jobbing to Randy Orton at NWO.

3. Getting his title shot anyway without winning it back or any other form of earning it.

4. He didn't pin the Champion.

whitemilesdavis - May 1, 2006 12:08 PM (GMT)
An underdog needs to be chasing the title to draw.

dynamite kido - May 1, 2006 01:24 PM (GMT)
QUOTE (whitemilesdavis @ May 1 2006, 06:08 AM)
An underdog needs to be chasing the title to draw.

EXACTLY.

Colcollazo - May 2, 2006 12:44 AM (GMT)
Umm, that's still a rumor, they could easily keep the belt on Cena and have him defend it against RVD. But I heard Rey needs knee surgery so...
