Well, here we are...........finally at the third disc of this show. You know, I'm soooo happy that I decided to watch this one in parts. Because if I would have sat down and watched this whole show at once, I think I would've felt much like I just wrestled in 92 straight death match tournaments. Not that I would be picking thumbtacks out of my ass or anything, but I definately would be fucking drained as all hell. Anyway, there was only 2 matches left in the BOTB V show and a bonus match added to the DVD. Thank god for it too, because I didn't end the show on the sourest of notes. Then again, this was probably the best overall disc of the set considering that it had a built up tag match, the BOTB finals, and a bonus match which I don't think they would have included if it sucked horsecock. So here's we go.....

The first matchup on this disc had Eddie Kingston and Ruckus vs. a mystery guy and Sexxxy Eddy. Not like it was going to be Onita making his triumphant return to hardcore wrestling or anything...........the mystery guy was just Nate Webb. This match had potential to be pretty good considering Kingston can be pretty awesome and Sexxxy Eddy is impressive now and again as well. I've already shared by feelings about Nate Webb (The best thing about him is his entrance, then it's kind of downhill from there........but he's a super nice guy for what it's worth) and Ruckus can be damn right frustrating to watch on occasion. See, he is the LEAST aggressive wrestler I've ever seen in my life. The guy has the talent to pull off some crazy ass Jack Evans type maneuvers and for some reason he's stuck wrestling in CZW. Now, that might have to do with the fact that the guy must either be, lazy, an asshole, or just plain and simple has the idea that CZW is the cream of the crop and the best promotion to work for. Which if that's the case, someone needs to bring him up to speed...........NOW. But anyway, the match was nothing special as they were setting up Nate Webb to intimidate the Ruckus/Kingston team as he was the guy that defeated Kingston in this past years Cage of Death match. Yay. But Kingston was playing an effective heel and getting in some decent enough stuff until Ruckus would drag his unmotivated ass into the ring to drag this one down. Now, I've said that Webb isn't the greatest guy in the world, but at least the match doesn't come screaching to a halt when he gets in there. Ruckus usual schtick consists of hitting some flippy floppy move off the top to pop the crowd, then getting up, looking around, acting proud that he did said move only to just fuck around and try to get a crowd reaction. How about the match? Is it THAT hard for certain wrestlers to forget that they are actually working a match? I read something online the other day that was basically bitching about the way that indy workers "work" and don't work the crowds at all. This is the total opposite of what that person would be talking about. Ruckus is so god damn frustrating to watch sometimes I'm glad he's a lazy jerkoff that only wrestles in CZW..........that way I don't have to worry about him showing up on anything ROH, PWG, IWC, etc, that I have coming into my mailbox. I do know that Webb/Eddy won the match, but I honestly don't remember how............and I honestly don't care.

Winners - Webb/Eddy
Rating - *3/4

Ok, now this show really had me down, but I wasn't going to shut out hope just yet...............and I was damn glad I didn't. Just in time was the final match of the CZW's 5th annual Best of the Best between Mike Quackenbush, Kevin Steen, Super Dragon, and B-Boy. Now, on paper.............that match should rule. But I had no idea what to expect because I thought most of this show was pretty lackluster. Luckily for me though, they had a plan. That plan was for good ol Quack to take one hell of an ass whippin. That and the whole show was pretty much building up the fact that Super Dragon and Kevin Steen would be getting in there together. For those not in the know they have quite the rivalry going on in the independent scene or DID around the time of this show. This match certainly was the best of the card and I wasn't dissappointed one bit by it. This match owned it as Quack pretty much took the majority of everyone's offense, he hit an inverted (best way I can explain it is that he was facing in the opposite direction that Super Dragon is during the move) Curb Stomp on SD and kicking out of TONS of shit. They booked Quack to look like gold here and definately get the sympathy from the crowd (Weird, Philly crowds have sympathy?). Plus, they kept Steen and SD away from each other to tease it just right and man was it something when they got in there. SD evenually got eliminated when Steen doubled up on the move that he couldn't hit all night................the package piledriver. Damn, Steen isn't the greatest wrestler in the world................but I'll be damned if he doesn't have some of the most devistating moves I've EVER seen. I guess that's what happens when you get trained by THE QUEBECERS!!!!!!!! Anyway, B-Boy looked much like the B-Boy that I couldn't understand for the longest time that ROH had no interest in. His forearms looked much better, moves looked less telegraphed, etc. Definately the best match of the card and the crowd was definately behind him throughout too.

Winner and Best of the Best V champion - Mike Quackenbush
Rating - ***3/4

The bonus match of the disc was a 7/20/03 match with Mafia & Homicide vs. B-Boy & Trent Acid. It was solid......probably about ***, but I'm not writing a full review because honestly..................CZW doesn't really deserve anymore free publicity from me......
