It's mainly to promote the See No Evil movie, coming to theaters May 19th, but also has a "interview" with Kane and various mark tidbits in between the SNE stuff. Also has horror film trivia, a section on most underrated horror movies (including a personal favorite, Return of the Living Dead), and MORE!

Oh... SEE NO EVIL MERCHANDISE! YES! (orders keychain hook and eyeball)

SamoaRowe - April 26, 2006 02:29 PM (GMT)
Now if only Kane was a guest character in the next Mortal Kombat game... Scrooge would die from happiness.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 02:31 PM (GMT)
In Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, you can create fighters...

HOLY FUCK I NEED THAT GAME!

And I wouldn't mind him getting a title reign again, even if it's only a day.

jamiegeist - April 26, 2006 03:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah, so whats up with the total Mortal Kombat fanboy shit lately anyway?

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 03:31 PM (GMT)
Who's a fanboy!?!

The Last Free Voice - April 26, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
You like Sub-Zero, you loose. Scorpion was WAAAAIIIII better.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 08:45 PM (GMT)
Fuck that! Outside of Scorpion's "Come Here" spear thing, which is one of the most awesome moves ever, I like SZ's character more.

jamiegeist - April 26, 2006 08:46 PM (GMT)
His............what?

Big F'N Swigg - April 26, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
The cheap ass rope he sticks you with. I fucking hate that thing

jamiegeist - April 26, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
No, I was remarking on Scrooge's comment about Sub-Zero's "character development" or whatever he called it.

The Last Free Voice - April 26, 2006 08:54 PM (GMT)
Weren't there TWO Sub Zeros? And then one died and the other took off the mask?

At least Scorpions story made sense. (They could have fucked that up. Last game I played was Deadly Alliance)

I bet you Scrooge was the type of kid who did that move over and over again and completely pissed you off.

Besides, Raiden was better.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
Original Sub-Zero died at the hands of Scorpion following MK, then assumed the role of Noob Saibot later in the series. Sub-Zero is his younger brother, looking to avenge his death.

As for original backstories, SZ's was good enough to spawn a game dedicated entirely to him (it's far too long and complicated to type up. Just check Wikipedia). Here's Scorpion's: He was a member of a ninja clan that were enemies of Sub-Zero's, and SZ murdered him. Now he has the ability to come back from the Netherrealm (a.k.a hell) whenever he pleases to go after Sub-Zero.

The Last Free Voice - April 26, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
It's a great story. Simplistic, easy to follow, and pretty badass. He can come back from HELL.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
You have a point, but being able to freeze people is better, and Sub-Zero has an awesome fatality... ripping out someones spine with the skull still attached.

Oh, another argument for Scorpion... TOASTY!

TheGreatWhiteChoate - April 26, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
Scorpion is the bomb. I like Sub-Zero, but I never got good at him, so I stuck to pulling people in and juggling the shit out of them.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
With enough practice, you can master all the characters' signature moves and fatalities... unless it's for the newer games, and especially Armageddon, which will feature over 60 characters, pretty much all from the MK series.

jamiegeist - April 26, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
I loved early MK, but it just got so gay once they added in the combos.

Scrooge McSuck - April 26, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
I pretty much gave up after MK III, as well. It just got so watered down with new characters with generic backstories and moves plus impossible difficulty and stupid strung-together combos having a giant effect on winning and losing. Then after playing Deadly Alliance, I got sucked back into it.
