| Former WWE Diva Christy Hemme has signed a TNA deal and is in full time for the company. Low Ki has also signed a TNA deal. The decision was made to create a new name for Ki ("Senshi") in order for TNA to have ownership of the name, as Ki wasn't going to sign over the name he's built over the last several years. TNA approached Ki a few weeks ago after Jushin Liger pulled out. The backup plan had TNA not come to terms with Low Ki was former WWE and ECW star Lance Storm, although I don't know if that would have been a one shot deal or a full-term contractual deal. For those who asked, thankfully, there were no injuries coming out of the PPV. Chase Stevens, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Abyss, and James Storm were especially lucky, considering the spots they pulled out. Shane Douglas, Billy Kidman, Dick Slater, and Don Callis were all backstage at Lockdown. Douglas returned to his role as a backstage agent. Callis happened to be in the area on outside business and visited the company, which he worked for during it's Nashville days. Slater and Kidman were visiting. Announced for tonight's TNA Impact taping in Orlando, Florida is TNA X-Division champion Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal, Alex Shelley & Sonjay Dutt vs. New Japan's Hirooki Goto and Minoru Tanaka, plus NWA champion Christian Cage, Abyss, Raven, Christopher Daniels, Scott Steiner, and more. Sabu is scheduled for tonight's taping as well, which many believe will be his final TNA appearances. |

I gotta see that tag match! Wait.. Are Goto and Tanaka worth the time to tape Impact, or are they 2 more "below" average Japanese guys TNA has brought in, like they did NOSAWA and his gang of losers in 2003. And how much of a push has Lethal got, so I know wether or not to expect him to be squashed. |

| he replay for TNA Impact this past Saturday scored a 0.6 rating. Former WWE Diva Christy Hemme is expected to be used in a backstage capacity on TNA as a "hostess" of sorts for TNA Impact as well as co-hosting TNA's new Internet show Global Impact. On her official website, Hemme wrote, "I really love the company and everyone involved. My first day was amazing. Im just so happy and thankful to be part of wrestling again, especially to be part of a truly special company. I just cant even put them over enough. I didn't really know what to expect, but I could see the very first day that there was something about this company that would hold and embrace my passion for this business. I am 100% TNA baby!" Hemme's profile has already been added to the TNA website. For those who asked, she will be featured in the upcoming TNA Knockouts DVD. Expect Abyss vs. Team 3D's Brother Runt (Matt "Spike Dudley" Hyson) to be added to the 6/9 TNA Hardcore War event in Philadelphia, PA. TNA also officially announced Rhino and NWA Tag Team champions America's Most Wanted would be appearing on their first Northeastern house show. Already announced is Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett's first appearance in the ECW Arena. For information on a bus trip from NYC and New Jersey to the event, email AGENTCLPT@aol.com. Sabu was even more banged up then most realized going into his TNA farewell match against X-Division champion Samoa Joe last Sunday on the Lockdown PPV. On his MySpace.com website, Joe wrote, "Sabu is a F%$..ing warrior. Broken Arm, chopped off end of his finger, and partially scalped and he still shows up for a ass kicking. Hopefully we can do it again." Samoa Joe also wrote that his upcoming "Best of" DVD that TNA is releasing will feature complete matches, not clipped bouts. Bill Banks was backstage at the Lockdown PPV and Impact for the first time in awhile. Banks, who left the creative team awhile back and oversees the TNA website, was working on interviews and features for upcoming TNA DVD projects. A number of talents were not used at the last TV taping due to the new TNA Impact formula of less matches with more attention to the major storylines. The official spelling for the name of the former Low Ki (in TNA at least) is "Senshi." Although he didn't appear before the live crowd, he was filmed in segments that will air on Impact over the next several weeks. |
