Ring Announcer Howard Finkel started the show in the ring.

Finkel: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the premiere of CSW Cyclone Saturday Night. Your opening contest is scheduled for one fall, and is the Cyclone Spotlight Match!


Chris Sabin v Brent Albright
Heated back and forth matchup between the two youngsters. Sabin rattled off much of his high-flying moveset, but Albright stayed with him. Nice sequence in the middle where Albright attempted a delayed suplex, but Sabin fell behind and nailed a German Suplex with a bridge for a near fall. Finish came when Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but this time Albright slipped behind him, and dropped him to the mat into the crowbar (his version of the Fujiwara Armbar). Sabin tapped out. Crowd was a little dead at the lack of star power to open the show. After the match, both wrestlers exchanged a handshake in the middle of the ring to applause.

Albright defeats Sabin by submission. * (60/44/77)

Styles: Great opening match by these two youngsters. I look forward to big things from them in the future.


In-Ring Segment: Hail to the Chief
Shane Douglas made his way to the ring to scattered ECW chants.

Douglas: NWA fans! CSW fans! WRESTLING fans! It is my honor at this time, to introduce to you, the man selected by NWA Central States wrestling as the President of this company, that will lead us into a new standard of excellence in professional wrestling.....

The Excellence of Execution, Bret “Hitman” Hart

Bret Hart came to ringside to a nice reaction from the live crowd. After they calmed down and stopped chanting, he grabbed the microphone:

Hart: Well I said you’d probably never see me in a wrestling ring again unless Vince McMahon went out of business. Who’d have thunk it huh? Well, it is truly and honor and a privilege to be here, and be part of something that I really believe in. NWA Central States wrestling fully intends on being the leading territory in the NWA and the revolution and revitalizing of the professional wrestling industry.

How did you all like that opening match that Chris Sabin and Brent Albright put on? (scattered cheers) Well good, because that was the introduction of our first segment, the Cyclone Spotlight. Every week, we’ll kick off the show with the Cyclone Spotlight, and two wrestlers will go one on one. It’s a winner-stays situation. The winner of the match will return next week on Cyclone, and return to the Cyclone Spotlight matchup to take on a new competitor who tries to make a name for himself. What better way than leading off Cyclone Saturday Night to make yourself known in this industry.

Now, on to more business. The decision to come back into wrestling as part of a television show wasn’t an easy one for me. But when the owners of this territory came to me with their idea, it was just too perfect for me to turn it away. It is my honor, at this time, to announce the first ever Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. (Thunderous applause)



This tournament will begin tonight, and will crown our first Central States Wrestling Champion. Over the next two weeks we will have first round matchups, followed by the Quarterfinal Matchups the week after. The semi-finals and Finals will take place at CWS’ first Supershow, entitled Blaze of Glory. This show will emanate, appropriately, from Kemper Arena right here in Kansas City, on Tuesday Night, May 23rd. Tickets go on sale immediately following the show tonight, and for those of you who can’t make it, a DVD will be made available showcasing the entire memorable night.

Now I’ve talked long enough out here, so let me quickly tell you just what you’ll be seeing tonight. Our first 4 matches in the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament to crown our CWS Champion. You’ll see Samoa Joe going one on one with James Gibson. Roderick Strong faces off with the Road Dogg, Jesse James, and in our main event, Charlie Hass goes face to face with ”The Game”, Triple H!

But let’s get it started right now with the first match of the tournament.

1st Round Tournament Match: Alex Shelley v X-pac
All Tournament matches will have a 15 minute time limit. Shelley and X-pac’s quick strike styles matched up well together here. Shelley in particular looked very impressive, hitting all his signature spots while playing to the crowd and drawing a great reaction. Shelley worked a chinlock as X-pac battled out and hit a back suplex, laying both men out on the mat. X-pac regained control and set Shelley up for the Bronco Buster. Shelley was able to move out of the way, and X-pac was laid out. Shelley climbed to the top turnbuckle, and launched him self off at X-pac as he got to his feet. Shelley nailed the crossbody block, but X-pac was able to roll through and score the 3 count!

X-pac defeats Shelley by pinfall. **1/4 (74/62/86)
Post-match: After the match, X-pac offered his hand to Shelley, obviously impressed. Shelley grabbed his hand, but yanked X-pac forward and nailed the Shellshock (Flatliner) before leaving to a chorus of boos.

Styles: Great match there from two guys with similar styles, but I could have done without the unnecessary post-match attack by Shelley.


Qualifying CWS Tag Team Title Match: The Mexicools v Jindrak & O’Haire
It was announced that the winner of this match would advance to Blaze of Glory on May 23rd to wrestle for the CSW Tag Team Titles. Great Match here. Jindrak and O’Haire didn’t miss a beat being teamed up again, and actually looked quite good, mixing their shooting backgrounds with their wrestling. The announcers really put over their work in MMA and how it has helped them become more aggressive in the ring. The Mexicools were crazy over, and showcased their high flying skills. A hot, fast match that would’ve been even better on a bigger stage. The finish came with Crazy and Psicosis hit a double dropkick on O’Haire on the apron, sending him to the floor. They then nailed Jindrak in the center of the ring with the Total Elimination (High kick to the front, low kick to the back) before ascending opposite turnbuckles and coming off with a Psicosis Legdrop and a Crazy Moonsault for the win.

The Mexicools defeat Jindrak & O’Haire by pinfall. *** (80/68/93)

Tazz: What a match there. Jindrak and O’Haire had almost no ring rust, and the Mexicools just looked great as well. I wouldn’t mind seeing that one again.


1st Round Tournament Match: Samoa Joe v James Gibson
The crowd was pretty burnt out after the last match, and Joe and Gibson didn’t help much. Their styles really didn’t seem to mesh together well here, but they worked it out. Both exchanges heated chops in the opening moments, and Gibson played face here, staying away from the bigger Joe for most of the match. Joe came very close to locking in the Kokina Clutch a few times, but Gibson continued to escape. Finish came when Gibson took control and was setting Joe up for a Tornado DDT. As Gibson jumped off the ropes, Joe spun him all the way around, setting back up on the top rope. Joe then gave him a vicious right hand, and put him up for the Musclebuster. He nailed it, and then locked in the Kokina Clutch on the prone Gibson for the tapout.

Samoa Joe defeats James Gibson by submission. * (62/48/77)
Post-Match: After referee Charles Robinson called for the bell, Joe still wouldn’t break the hold. He kept it locked on Gibson, who was lifeless by now. The referee tried prying him off, but it didn’t help. The referee shouted something at Joe, and went to call for the bell again, but Joe let go and walked away.

Styles: Wow, impressive display of aggressiveness and raw power by Samoa Joe. I’m officially a believer, and I’m officially frightened by that man


Backstage Segment: “The Game” prepares to play
Triple H is walking through the backstage area, warming himself up for his match tonight. He comes along Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, who seem to be talking strategy in the corner of the hallway.
Triple H: Well hey there fellas. You guys having a little meeting on how to go about winning this little tournament? You know, I checked the brackets, and the Superfriends, that’s you two, would have to meet each other in the finals of this tournament. Luckily I’m here, so you won’t have to worry about that, cause there’s no way your ass is getting by me tonight, you hear me Haas?
Shelton: Go on Charlie, go get ready. Triple H, I got news for you. You aren’t the Big Man on Campus anymore. This isn’t the WWE. And your daddy doesn’t run things around here. The playing field is finally level for you, me, and the rest of the Central States roster. I know that has to have you just shaking in your boots. Now, I know you’re a hell of a talented wrestler, but just how good are you when it’s all about just that: wrestling. This is Central States, where we’re making the old school new agai—
Triple H: Yeah yeah Benjamin, I’ve heard the stupid slogan about 50 times already. Making the old school new again. Well guess what, I AM the old school. And I AM the new school. That’s what all you young guys don’t get. A change of scenery doesn’t make me any less of The Man. I am still the most talented wrestler on the face of this planet, and I intend to prove it each and every night. But don’t forget, I’m still the meanest, smartest, ruthless son of a bitch on this planet, and I WILL prove that to you every night. Now I hope you gave Haas some good pointers on how to hover in the midcard, cause I gotta get going to my Main Event match.

1st Round Tournament Match: Road Dogg v Roderick Strong
Suprisingly good match here from a clash of styles. Road Dogg had the crowd eating out of his hand for most of the match, and continually outsmarted Strong. Strong took control after a neckbreaker on Road Dogg, and showed a nice vicious streak in the middle, hitting a combination of backbreakers and going to a submission with a Bow and Arrow. Road Dogg reached the ropes for the break. Strong and Road Dogg then fought over a suplex, with Road Dogg eventually winning. As he took Strong up, Strong dropped behind Road Dogg, and then pushed him into the ropes, where they then both rolled backwards into a pinning combination. The referee got to 2 before Road Dogg grabbed a handful of tights and pulled Strong over to give Road Dogg the 3 count!

Road Dogg defeats Roderick Strong by pinfall. *1/2 (67/57/78)
Post-Match: Strong looked at the referee in disbelief as Road Dogg just looked at him and gave a shrug of the shoulder. Strong then rolled to the outside, hands on his head. He really couldn’t believe what just happened.

Tazz: This kid just got outsmarted by a guy that’s been around a little longer. Nothing to be ashamed of in that. I was impressed by Roderick Strong, but he still has a hell of alot to learn before he is gonna beat a guy like the Road Dogg.

Strong looked over at Tazz, having heard what he just said. Strong made his way closer to Tazz and looked to say “Oh, I don’t have it huh?”. Tazz slowly stood up out of his chair and attempted to explain himself, when Strong slapped the headset right off of his head. Tazz took his glasses off and started unbuttoning his dress coat when Styles talked him into sitting back down. Strong made his way out, with an angry, yet satisfied, look on his face.


1st Round Tournament Match: Triple H v Charlie Haas
Largest crowd reaction of the night came for Triple H and this match. Good match here as well, as Triple H immediately targeted the knee of Charlie Haas. Hass battled back though, out wrestling Triple H and taking him to the ground where he worked on a vicious headlock. Triple H turned the tide back his way when he sent Haas face first into the corner, and then clipped the knee from behind. Triple H set up a figure four, but Haas pushed him off as he spun around, and sent him into the turnbuckle, where Triple H stumbled out right into a small package for a very near fall. Hass then grabbed Triple H around the waist and nailed a German Suplex. He attempted to bridge for the pin, but his knee gave out on him. As both men got to their feet, Haas was favoring the knee so much, he left himself open to a kick right to the stomach, and Triple H nailed the Pedigree for the win.

Triple H defeats Charlie Haas by pinfall **1/2 (76/77/74)
Post-Match: Triple H was jawing with the crowd as Haas got to his feet. Triple H viciously clipped his knee from behind and continued assaulting the knee. He dragged Haas to the corner of the ring and slid under the bottom rope. Triple H then wrapped Haas’ knee around the post a few times, and then locked in the Figure 4 Leglock around the ring post. Haas screamed in pain as Triple H held on to the hold. Shelton Benjamin came running down to the ringside area, but Triple H released the hold and backed away from Haas with his hands in the air. Shelton checked on Charlie Haas at the camera faded out.

Dude, I LOVED your backstage segment with Triple H. Very well written, and very typical Triple H wise-ass banter. You succeeded in making me hope the bastard doesn't win the tournament.

And nice bracket graphics too. At the risk of sounding naive, how did you make them?

Just made em. Grabbed the owen graphic, cut it out, pasted it, put some effect and opacity (?) on it. Same with the Central States graphic. Made the rest by hand.

First, and foremost, thanks for the feedback on my diary amigo.

I liked your show, it was really good, and well laid out. It flowed great.

I like the bracket idea, however, the top bracket is loaded with superstars, and the lower tier has not as much star power.

I liked the Triple H promo, I can actually hear him saying something like that in my mind, lol.

Cyclone Spotlight: Nova v Brent Albright
Cyclone opened up with the introduction of the Cyclone Spotlight match. The announcers talked about the stipulations, and the opportunities for guys to make an impact on Cyclone. They re-enforced the “winner stays” structure of the Spotlight feature. Albright and Nova went right to work on each other, clicking quite well. Nova got mixed reactions from the crowd, but generally drew a lot of heat, returning to his old persona. Albright worked over Nova’s arm and shoulder heavily in this match, but Nova took control after a powerbomb. Nova set Albright up for the Curb Stomp, but Albright yanked his arm forward, sending Nova to the mat, and wrenched on him with the Crowbar for the victory!

Albright defeats Nova by submission in 7:21 *1/4 (64/48/80)

Tazz: This kid Brent Albright gets the win again, and we’ll be seeing him again next week to open up Cyclone! Very impressive submission work from the youngster.


Backstage Segment: Looking ahead?
A close-up shot of the brackets for the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament shows the current round, and slowly pulls away to reveal Samoa Joe examining the brackets to see who he’ll face in the next round. A voice comes from outside of the picture:

Voice: Don’t look too far ahead, or you might see something you don’t wanna see.

Triple H walks into the picture as Joe just looks up with a bit of a disgusted look on his face.

Triple H: Yeah, I checked it out too. Let’s see here. Next week, after I advance I head to the semi-finals at Blaze of Glory I’ll face one of three guys. Everyone is talking about this potential showdown between me and this Joe fella. Have you heard of him? I think its Somalia, or Saskatchewan, or....ah....Samoa Joe, that’s right.

Joe, still with a grimace, almost turns it into a smile as he turns and begins to walk away. Triple H grabs his arm, and Joe looks up, any hint of a smile disappearing.

Triple H: Wait a minute there. I feel so embarrassed. You’re him, aren’t you! I just...well, expected a little more. I’ve heard all about this “Submission Machine” and all this stuff. You just look kind of....well, kind of short, kind of flabby. You kind of look like nothing special. And I saw what you did out there last week. Put that little sleeper-hold on and then didn’t wanna let go. It wasn’t very nice really. But did you see what “I” did? That’s how you make an impact, kid. I damn near tore Charlie Haas’ knee clean off the bone. Sure, everyone knew my name before, but now there won’t be any confusion as to my intentions. And speaking of intentions, I wanna let you know something right now. If you ever, and I mean ever, get in my wa---

Joe gives a quick flinch to Triple H with his shoulders and arms, stopping him dead in his tracks and making him jump backwards and stumble over an equipment box on the floor. Joe smiles and turns to walk away, leaving Triple H sitting there, enraged, with his nostrils flaring. He kicks the equipment box out of the way and climbs to his feet.

1st Round Tournament Match: Jeff Jarrett v Kid Kash
All tournament matches are contested under a 15 minute limit. Jarrett and Kash both came out to the ring to negative reactions from the crowd, although Jarrett’s was a bit louder. They started in the center of the ring, exchanging words, and then Kash slapped Jarrett, getting things started for a bit of a brawl. Jarrett worked on grounding the high-flying Kash in the middle of the match, working on his knee with everything from the Ric Flair playbook. Kash came back at the end and tried for a moonsault. Jarrett rolled out of the way, and then picked Kash up and nailed the Stroke for the win.

Jarrett defeats Kash by pinfall in 7:43. ** (70/59/81)

Styles: Great debut for Jeff Jarrett here in CSW. He seemed very on track and focused on what he was doing, and it’s nice to see him out here alone for once.


1st Round Tournament Match: Austin Aries v Billy Gunn
Gunn and Aries took it right to each other in this contest of old v new. Aries looked very good in there, and used his quickness to take it to Gunn with a differing style of high impact moves and matwork. Gunn went for a back suplex, but Aries flipped behind him and nailed a German Suplex for a near fall. Gunn took control after a series of clotheslines, and set Aries up for the Fame-asser with a kick to the stomach. As Gunn jumped, Aries moved out of the way, and snatched him up into a Brainbuster. Aries didn’t cover, and instead dragged Gunn to the corner. Aries went up top for the 450 Splash, but Gunn moved out the way. As Aries got to his feet, Gunn leaped up and hit the Fame-Asser for the win!

Gunn defeats Aries by pinfall in 9:04. *3/4 (68/63/74)

Styles: Great win for Billy Gunn, advancing him in the tournament where he’ll face his former friend Triple H in the quarter-finals. Gunn is celebrating his victory down the aisle, and it looks like Shane Douglas is going to try and get a word in the ring with Austin Aries.

In-Ring Segment: The Franchise wants some answers?
Douglas: Austin Aries, congratulations on a great match, but a tough loss at the end.

Douglas puts the mic towards Aries, who barely gives it a glance.

Douglas: Well Austin, it seems so far in CSW that the veterans have been controlling things around here. We’ve seen such up and coming stars as Kid Kash, Roderick Strong, James Gibson, and now yourself fall to some more established veterans with years of experience behind them. What are your thoughts on that?

Douglas again extends the microphone towards Aries, but Aries just gives him a drop-dead look.

Douglas: Listen kid, I’m not trying to be hard on you here. Just trying to give you a ch—

Aries cuts him off and grabs the microphone from him.

Aries: My thoughts? My thoughts on losing? It SUCKS! What do you think old man? You think I enjoy losing a match? Hell no. But the last thing I need after a loss is to have your old ass sliding in here and interrogating me. You wanna know what I think of all these supposed “veterans” getting the wins around here?

As Aries is talking to Douglas, right in his face, Roderick Strong slides into the ring behind Douglas, watching Aries’ every word.

Aries: Yeah, so what. Billy Gunn beat me one time. I made a mistake. I thought he was all washed up, and I was wrong. He might have 2 or 3 good matches left in him. But not you Shane. You ARE all washed up, and I bet it kills you to be in here doing this mop-up duty, doesn’t it?

Aries extends the mic toward Douglas, but quickly pulls it away, and Douglas doesn’t look happy.

Aries: What’s that Shane? You miss the in-ring action? But your old ass knees just won’t allow it anymore? Well maybe you just need a little push to get back in there.

Roderick Strong shoves Shane from behind, who is caught off guard. As he turns to Strong, Aries kicks him in the back of the knee, and he and Strong double-team Douglas to the ground. The pound on him with stomps and kicks, before picking him up for a double team maneuver. Austin Aries heads to the top rope as Roderick Strong sets up Douglas in a powerbomb position. Just then, Tazz rushes in from the announcer’s table and charges at Strong, who, along with Aries, bails out of the ring and heads up the aisle. Tazz leans over and checks on Douglas, who gets up, infuriated, and stares down the two youngsters in the aisle.

1st Round Tournament Match: Masato Tanaka v Low-Ki
Great match from these two with a ton of stiff punches, kicks, and elbows from both. Every time Tanaka seemed to be taking the upper hand, Ki would respond with a vicious kick, flooring him. Around the 5 minute mark, they brawled to the outside and exchanged vicious moves on the floor. Ki dropped Tanaka with a brainbuster, and then went to the apron and jumped off, trying to hit a double stomp on Tanaka on the floor. Tanaka moved out of the way, and then nailed Ki with a powerbomb into the ring apron. Around the 10 minute mark, both men were back in the ring, and Tanaka set Ki up for a German Suplex. Ki flipped out of it, and nailed a swank kick to the head of Tanaka for a very close 2 count. Ki went up top again, but Tanaka crotched him on the top rope. Tanaka pulled him forward, Ki’s feet still hanging on to the top rope, and nailed a DDT, planting Ki on his head for another close 2 count. As both men got to their feet, Tanaka blocked a Ki kick, and then went for a Roaring Elbow, which Ki ducked, but Tanaka came right back with another, flooring Ki and scoring the 3 count, barely.

Result: Tanaka defeats Low-Ki by pinfall in 12:42. *** (80/71/90)
Post-Match: As both men were still laying on the ground from the intense matchup they just had, Samoa Joe got into the ring. He ran towards the still fallen Low-Ki and nailed a Senton on him, before picking him up, setting him on the top rope, and nailing him with a Muscle Buster. He then drew his attention to Tanaka, and floored him with a running kick to the face. Joe then pulled Tanaka up to the top rope with him, and nailed an Island Driver, jumping off the middle rope. He then picked Tanaka up by his head, looked straight into the camera, and slapped the Kokina Clutch on Tanaka.

Tazz: What a great match from these two. Tanaka barely scores the hard-fought win, only for Samoa Joe to come down here and ruin everything these two just did. I think he knows he has nothing to prove to us.


Qualifying CSW Tag Team Title Match: Doring & Roadkill v Team Canada
Danny Doring and Eric Young started in the ring. Young seemed to be genuinely frightened by Roadkill during the match. Any time he tagged in, Young quickly made the tag to his partner, Petey Williams. Petey took it right to the big man though, matching power with power, and using his speed to gain the advantage. Both teams used great double-team maneuvers as well. A bit of a pier-six brawl broke out when all 4 men ended up in the ring. Roadkill and Young then spilled to the outside, where Roadkill sent Young hard into the post. Young’s arm was dangling as if it could have gotten legitimately injured. Petey nailed Roadkill with a baseball slide dropkick, sending him into the announcers table. Doring nailed Petey in the middle of the ring with a spinebuster as he got up. Doring bounced off the ropes, where Eric Young widly swung a hockey stick up and into the back of Doring’s head. Doring stumbled off the ropes, and Petey grabbed him and nailed the Canadian Destroyer for the win!

Team Canada defeats Doring & Roadkill by pinfall in 8:30. *3/4 (69/57/82)
Post-Match: Petey helped Young to the back, who still looked legitimately hurt and worried as his arm dangled down to his side.

Styles: Impressive teamwork by Team Canada, even if it wasn’t the most noble of circumstances. The real question is Eric Young’s arm. What exactly happened when he ran into that ring post, and what will his status be for Blaze of Glory now that we know it’ll be the Mexicools v Team Canada for the CSW Tag Team Titles?


1st Round Tournament Match: Ken Shamrock v Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin came out to the ring first, and grabbed the microphone:

Shelton: Triple H, I just want you to know that because of what you did last week to Charlie Haas, he is currently at home spending time with his family, unable to do the thing he loves to do more than anything else: wrestle. Charlie, this match, and the rest of this tournament to crown the first CSW Champion is dedicated to you brother.

Ken Shamrock headed to the ring to a nice reaction from the crowd, seemingly unfazed by Shelton’s dedication. He took it right to Shelton with hard right hands, showing the intensity we hadn’t seen since he last appeared in the WWE. Shamrock immediately went to ground Shelton, and went to work on his knee and ankle. Benjamin managed to escape Shamrock’s attempts, and kept himself distance from the former UFC fighter. Around the 6 minute mark, Shelton knocked Shamrock to the outside, and followed with a suicide dive over the top rope to a huge crowd reaction. Shelton threw him back in the ring, but only got a 2 count. Shelton then went up top and came off with a cross body block for another 2 count. Around the 10 minute mark, Shamrock caught a high kick from Shelton, and spun him around. Shelton tried to kick him with his opposite leg, but Shamrock caught that one as well, and dropped Shelton into the ankle-lock. Luckily for Shelton, he was close to the ropes, and got the break at 12 minutes as the ring announcers told us there were 3 MINUTES LEFT. Shelton reverses a Shamrock whip to the corner and set him up for the T-Bone suplex, but Shamrock elbowed Shelton in the head, and instead hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a 2 count. 2 MINUTES LEFT. Shamrock grabbed Shelton’s leg and lifted him from the mat, standing on one leg. He then hit a vicious dragon-screw leg whip, and kept hold of the ankle, right in to the ankle-lock. Shelton was right in the middle of the ring, and couldn’t reach the ropes. 1 MINUTE LEFT. Shamrock wrenched on the ankle as Shelton bit into his own hand to fight the pain. With one last gasp, Shelton flung his leg forward, sending Shamrock over head and into a pinning predicament for the 3 count!

Post-Match: Shamrock looked upset, but shook Shelton’s hand, congratulating him on a tough victory. Shamrock lifted Shelton’s hand in the air and pointed to him as the crowd echoed his sentiment.

The Cyclone Spotlight match opened up again, with Brent Albright trying to make it 3 in a row. Kash was determined however, and took it right to Albright. Albright worked on Kash’s arm, no doubt to prepare for the Crowbar. Kash fought away and hit a flurry of offense in the middle of the match including some nice armdrags and a dropkick to the face. Finish came when Kash went up top and tried a sunset flip. He made it over Albright, but when he went to hook the arms, Albright sat down, ala Bulldog-Bret at Summerslam 92.

Albright defeats Kash by pinfall in 5:21 (69/58/80)

Styles: Another impressive victory for Albright. We’ll be seeing him open up the show next week, and I’m starting to wonder who can stop this momentum.



Quarterfinal Tournament Match: X-pac v Shelton Benjamin
All Tournament matches have a 15 minute time limit. X-pac and Shelton shook hands in the middle of the ring to start this one off. A nice exchange of armdrags and armlocks eventually lead to both attempting a dropkick and hitting nothing but each other’s feet. The crowd applauded the opening. Shelton then took control, using a mainly mat-based approach to keep X-pac grounded. Shelton worked over X-pac’s shoulder, but X-pac eventually squirmed away and nailed a spinning heel kick sending Benjamin to the outside. X-pac then followed with a plancha over the top rope, nailing Benjamin into the announce table. X-pac took over in the ring and had control, nailing the bronco buster and a brainbuster for a near fall. As X-pac went to the top rope, Alex Shelley came walking down the aisle. X-pac jumped off the top and exchanged words with X-pac from the inside of the ring to the outside. Benjamin spun X-pac around into a small package for a 2.75 count. X-pac turned his attention back to Benjamin and nailed a hard kick to the side of the head before hitting a kick to the stomach and attempting the X-Factor. Benjamin though pulled away at the last minute, and his his own spinning kick to X-pac, sending him against the ropes, where Shelley bashed him in the back of the head with an object in his hand. X-pac stumbled forward, and Benjamin grabbed him for a Northern Lights suplex and the win!

Post-Match: Benjamin celebrated down the aisle with the fans as Shelley slid into the ring. He picked up X-pac, and nailed him with the Shellshock, leaving him in the middle of the ring. Shelley reached into his tights and pulled out the object that he nailed X-pac with. He revealed a Remote Control, and set it on X-pac’s chest before leaving the ringside area.

Tazz: What a great match between these two. A shame to see this kid Shelley get involved in the finish, but I have a feeling he’ll get what’s coming to him. Oh, speaking of getting what’s coming....

Bret Hart walks out to the ringside area and talks to Tazz closely. After a brief discussion, Tazz heads to the back, and Bret Hart sits down next to Joey Styles.

Styles: Well I guess right now I’d like to welcome the President of Central States Wrestling, Bret Hart. Mr. Hart, can I ask why you’re joining me right now?

Hart: Sure Joey. It’s simple really. The next segment we have goin on here could get a little heated, and after the situation last week, I thought it would be best if Tazz just took a quick break from announcing.


In-Ring Segment: The Franchise Has a Question
Shane Douglas heads to the ring and grabs a microphone.

Douglas: Kansas City, please welcome my guest at this time....Roderick Strong!

Roderick Strong comes out of the entryway and reveal Austin Aries walking behind him. They each slide into the ring with a smug smile on their faces.

Douglas: Good, I’m glad you decided to bring your buddy with you here. I know you guys were told this would be a chance for you to get a little mic time and put yourselves over, but guess what, it isn’t. What you’ve just done is come into my segment, my time, and MY challenge. You guys think you got one over on me last week when you beat my ass in this ring? Do you know what I’ve been through in my career? You think I can’t handle two punks like you? Well think again. Because right now I’m laying out the challenge to you two, in just a few days, at Blaze of Glory.

Strong: Franchise, you’ve lost your damn mind. Sure, we’ll accept your little challenge, since this company doesn’t seem to have anything better for us to do right now. I guess we can tread water for a bit and kill off some legen—er wait. I mean, kill off some has-beens. I can only assume that the “Human Commentary Machine” Tazz is gonna be your partner on May 23rd, and quite frankl—

Strong is cut-off mid-sentence by the familiar music of Tazz. Orange light fills the entry way as Strong and Aries turn their attention towards the ramp. As they’re waiting for Tazz to come out of the smoke, Tazz jumps the barricade and calmly stands behind Aries with a towel over his head. Out of nowhere, Tazz slaps on the Taz-Mission, with Aries flailing about in his arms. Strong turns around a moment to late, and is snatched up by The Franchise, who plants him with a belly-to-belly suplex in the middle of the ring. Tazz releases Aries and they stand over their prey.

Quarter-final Tournament Match: Samoa Joe v Masato Tanaka
Joe and Tanaka stared each other down in the middle of the ring, Tanaka still perturbed at Joe’s post match attack from last week. They started by exchanging hard chops to the chest right in the middle of the ring, neither man wanting to back down. Eventually Tanaka took control, whipping Joe off the ropes and nailing a stiff elbow. Joe responded in kind by flooring Tanaka with a clothesline. Around the 5 minute mark, Joe nailed a hard kick to the back while Tanaka was in a seated position. He followed with an even harder kick to the chest, and hit a senton after bouncing off the ropes. Joe went for the cover, but Tanaka kicked out quickly. Joe whipped Tanaka off the ropes, but Tanaka ducked under Joe and grabbed him, nailing a hard release German Suplex for a 2 count. At the 10 minute mark, both men kicked it up another notch. Joe nailed a snap powerslam, and then set Tanaka on the top rope. Joe tried to grab him for the Muscle-Buster, but Tanaka wouldn’t allow it. Joe nailed a hard right hand to Tanaka’s face, and tried to grab him for an Island Driver instead. Tanaka dropped a few elbows into Joe’s face, and then flipped himself off the ropes, nailing the Diamond Dust on Joe. He quickly covered, but Joe got his foot on the rope as the time-keeper informed us there were 3 MINUTES REMAINING. Tanaka picked Joe up and tried for another German Suplex, but Joe wasn’t budging. Joe did a standing switch and went to lock on the Kokina Clutch. Tanaka grabbed Joe’s arms before he could lock it around his throat. Tanaka bit at Joe’s arm to keep it off of his throat, and then quickly spun around with an elbow to Joe’s face to knock him away. 2 MINUTES REMAINING. Tanaka charged at Joe and attempted a Roaring Elbow, but Joe ducked, and nailed a kick to the stomach. He picked Tanaka up and hit a hard powerbomb, but Tanaka kicked out. Joe quickly turned it into an STF, trying to force Tanaka to tap out. Joe switched to a crossface, but Tanaka still wouldn’t tap. 1 MINUTE REMAINING. He continued the pressure on Tanaka as the crowd grew with the time limit expiring. Out of nowhere Joe released the crossface, and snapped the Kokina Clutch on Tanaka from behind, rolling him over and locking him in a legscissors as well. Tanaka was fading, and the BELL RANG!!

Samoa Joe drew Masato Tanaka in 15:00. (85/74/97)
Post-Match: Joe looked up at referee Charles Robinson in astonishment. Robinson informed him that the time limit had expired. Joe looked down at Tanaka, still almost unconscious on the mat. Joe suddenly started shaking, his head looking like it might explode. The crowd broke out in a “5 MORE MINUTES” chant, but Joe didn’t even seem to hear it. He went to ringside and grabbed a chair, throwing it in the ring. Tanaka was in a seated position, and Joe crashed the chair down over his head. Joe laid the chair in the ring, and picked up Tanaka for the Muscle-Buster, nailing it squarely on the chair. Joe left the ringside area to a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Styles: What a match! 15 minutes and these guys weren’t done yet. I understand Joe is frustrated, as both competitors are now eliminated from the tournament. But did we really need that after the match?

Quarter-Final Tournament Match: Road Dogg v Jeff Jarrett
The announcers talked about the deep history between Jarrett and Road Dogg. First as tag team partners in the then WWF, then as rivals, and good friends, on to their days in TNA together. Jarrett and Road Dogg stood center ring and exchanged words, seeming to come to a conclusion together. Road Dogg put his fist out, and Jarrett quickly tapped it with his and grabbed a headlock to start the match. Back and forth action to open up, including alot of headlocks and attempts to gain the upper hand. At the 5 minute mark, Jarrett attempted to charge Road Dogg in the corner, but Road Dogg got both feet up and floored Jarrett. Road Dogg made the cover for a near fall. Jarrett took control back after a back suplex. He went for a body slam, but Road Dogg fell behind him and pushed him off the ropes into a rollup sequence for another 2 count. Road Dogg nailed a series of punches on Jarrett, and did a little dance on the last one before swinging and missing. Jarrett ducked, and schoolboyed Road Dog for the win!

Jarrett defeats Road Dogg by pinfall in 9:11. (77/78/76)
Post-Match: Road Dogg nearly kicked out, and as both got to their feet, they got in each other’s faces again. It looked like it might come to blows, but they quietly exchanged words before shaking hands and leaving the ring to a nice reaction from the crowd.

Styles: Jeff Jarrett advances in the tournament, and seems to show a bit of a soft side for the first time in years. These two haven’t met in a one on one encounter in a long time, but still put on a great match.

Backstage Segment: Paparazzi Productions
X-pac is walking backstage, and looks to have a purpose. He walks by Shelton Benjamin and accidentally bumps him on the shoulder in passing. Benjamin turns.

Benjamin: Hey, Sean, hope there isn’t any bad beef from tonight. I had no clue Shelley was getting involved. And you know me, I’m a competitor. I want to win. And you take the breaks that life deals you.

X-pac: No man, I know. I just gotta find that little bitch. I don’t know what his problem is anyway.

Benjamin: Well good luck bro. I’m out. Gotta go pay Charlie a visit at the hospital. Great match tonight, and good luck with your pest problem.

X-pac: Thanks man, and congrats on the win. Good luck in that tourney. I wanna see you holding that CSW Title high at Blaze of Glory.

With that, X-pac heads down the hallway before seeing a door marked ALEX SHELLEY. X-pac pushes the door open with force and begins to say something before he is cut off by what he sees inside. A video camera is positioned on a tripod pointed directly at X-pac, and a TV Monitor is sitting right below the camera. A yellow post-it sticker reads “TURN ME ON”. X-pac pulls the sticker off and reaches into his pocket. He stares at the remote control that Shelley left with him earlier in the evening. With a bit of hesitation, he turns on the monitor. Alex Shelley’s face quickly fills the television monitor:

Shelley: That’s good X-pac. Yes, turn it on. Very good. Now listen to me closely cause I’m only gonna say this once. I can see you, so it is only fair that you can see me. Now, I have a lit—

X-pac: Shelley, what the hell is this? And what the hell—

Shelley: Ah-ah-ah X-pac. I didn’t say Shelley Says. Look punk, you made a mistake. You got lucky and you beat me in the first round of the CSW Title Tournament. It may have just been another match to you, but to me it is my destiny. The CSW Title wants to be around my waist, but now it doesn’t get to be because of you. So I did the only fair thing. I set Karma straight, and made sure you didn’t advance any farther either. You can thank me later. Regardless, this leaves a nice little opening in both of our schedules for Tuesday, May 23rd at Kemper Arena. So without further ado, on to our feature presentation: I’ll see your ass in the ring at Blaze of Glory. You wanted to find me, and guess what? You did. And I’ll see you on the 23rd. Bring your wrestling boots sonny! Oh, and just one more thing.

Shelley pulls his own remote control up into the picture, and pushes a button while he mouths a “click” sound. Suddenly, the lights go out in the locker room where X-pac was standing. Commotion fills the room, and after a few passing seconds, the lights switch back on to reveal X-pac lying in a heap next to the now destroyed electronics equipment.

Blaze of Glory Run-down
Back at ringside now with Joey Styles and Bret Hart, who run down the Blaze of Glory card set for this Tuesday, May 23rd at Kemper Arena.

X-pac and Alex Shelley will meet one on one at Blaze of Glory in an effort to settle their differences.

Their first time together in a ring in years, Tazz and Shane Douglas will join forces to take on the team of Austin Aries and Roderick Strong.

Reportedly, the Natural Born Thrillers, Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak, will be at Blaze of Glory and have issued an open challenge to any tag team.

Jeff Jarrett will take on Shelton Benjamin in the Semi-Finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. The winner will move on to face the winner of tonight’s main event in the finals, for the CSW Championship.

A huge 8 man match will kick off the show featuring some of CSW’s best young stars including Brent Albright, Chris Sabin, and Kid Kash. Many new faces will be debuting in this match as well.

The Tag Team Titles will be decided when The Mexicools take on Petey Williams and a partner of his choosing. Williams has been given permission to select any partner to substitute for the injured Eric Young, who is out 7 months with a torn bicep.

And just announced by President Bret Hart, a rematch between Samoa Joe and Masato Tanaka! They may have had a draw in the tournament, but this match will be with no time limit, one fall to a finish.


Quarter-final Tournament Match: Triple H v Billy Gunn
Gunn and Triple H came to the ring as the announcers put over the fact that the winner of this match will be in a great position on Tuesday thanks to the draw earlier in the evening between Samoa Joe and Masato Tanaka. The winner would advance straight to the finals, and would have the evening off, while Shelton Benjamin and Jeff Jarrett face each other in a Semi-Final matchup. Gunn tackled Triple H right when he got into the ring, taking the beating straight to him. They rolled out of the ring, still entangled and fought all around the ringside area. Triple H took control after slamming Gunn’s head into the announce table, and then whipped him into the steel barricade at ringside. Back in the ring, around the 7 minute mark, Triple H stayed on the offensive, and locked Gunn in a sleeper hold, taking him down to the mat. The crowd rallied Gunn back up, where he locked in a sleeper hold of his own, and dropped Triple H to the mat with it, leaving them both lying. The finish came after both men got to their feet and exchanging punches, with Gunn taking the upper hand. He set Triple H up for the Fame-Asser, but Triple H powered out, flipping Gunn over. Gunn landed on his feet, but Triple H kicked him in the stomach, and hit the Pedigree out of nowhere for the win! Triple H advances to the Finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament for the CSW Title.

Triple H defeats Gunn by pinfall in 11:11. (73/71/76)
Post-Match: Triple H looks down at the fallen Billy Gunn as the referee raises his hand. Triple H quickly pulls his arm away from the ref, and rolls out of the ring to grab the ring bell. Gunn slowly gets to his feet, and Triple H levels him with the bell. He looks out at the crowd and grabs hold of Billy Gunn’s leg. He drops elbow after elbow on the prone Gunn, and begins dragging him to the corner. It looked like he was gonna set him up for the figure four around the ringpost just like he did to Charlie Haas, but Road Dogg came flying down the aisle and into the ring. Road Dogg stuns Triple H with a few punches, but Triple H nails a kick to the groin. He picks up the ring bell, and now levels Road Dogg with it as well. Triple H drags Road Dogg to the corner now. He wraps his knee around the post a few times, and then positions himself to put the Figure Four on Road Dogg around the ringpost......


In-Ring Segment: Turning a New Page
Jeff Jarrett comes flying down the aisle and runs to ringside, blindsiding Triple H and sending him into the announcers table. Triple H looks up at him and says “What the hell do you think you’re doing?!”. Jarrett rolls Road Dogg away from the ringpost, and exchanges words with Triple H. Jarrett seems to be saying “Not this way. Not in this tournament”. Triple H is fuming mad standing there listening to Jarrett. Triple H’s expression changes as he seems to be agreeing with Jarrett. He starts walking away from the situation, and Jarrett looks over to check on Gunn as well. Out of nowhere, Triple H charges him and knocks him into the ringside barricade. Jarrett bounces up quickly though, and he and Triple H exchange hard right hands as we go off the air!

Styles: Unbelievable! What have we just seen here. Jeff Jarrett of all people saves the day, and he and Triple H are going at it. Fans we’ve got to go! We’ll see you at Kemper Arena on Tuesday!

Opening Match: 8 Man Tag Team Elimination Match:
Brent Albright, Chris Chetti, James Gibson, and Chris Sabin
v Elix Skipper, Kid Kash, Vampiro, and Mike Sanders
The announcers welcomed everyone to Blaze of Glory and introduced the first match. They mentioned that Chetti, Skipper, Vampiro, and Sanders were all making their respective debuts in this match, and that there was a rumor swirling that this could be Chris Sabin’s final match in CSW. The action was fast and furious, too quick to document. Sabin was eliminated first by a Vampiro powerbomb, followed by Chetti who fell to a brainbuster from Kid Kash. James Gibson then took over, eliminated Kash with the dragon sleeper, and pinning Elix Skipper with a Tiger Driver. Gibson and Vampiro then went head to head, with Vampiro getting the best of him after some Sanders interference. It was down to Albright v Vampiro and Sanders. After a struggle with each, Albright got the Crowbar on Vampiro, who tapped out. As Albright stood over his prey, Mike Sanders snuck in the ring behind him, and as Albright turned around, Sanders rolled him into a small package for the win!.

Mike Sanders defeats Brent Albright (last eliminated) by pinfall. (69/72/64)

Styles: Impressive debuts all around for Sanders, Vampiro, Chetti, and Skipper, but the nod has to go to Mike Sanders, who managed to pin the streaking Brent Albright.


X-pac v Alex Shelley
The match started quickly as X-pac attacked Shelley from behind during his entrance. They brawled up and down the aisle before finally sliding in the ring and officially beginning the match. A bit of a brawl as compared to their last encounter, which was more wrestling based. X-pac, understandably upset at Shelley’s recent antics, took it to him with stiff kicks to the face. Shelley battled back and took the upper hand, locking in a submission hold in the center of the ring. X-pac rallied with the crowd behind him and nailed a crossbody off the top for a near fall. X-pac took Shelley to the top rope to set him up for a superplex, but Shelley nailed a hard knee to X-pac face, slowing him down. Shelley then launched himself over X-pac, hitting a sunset flip powerbomb hard in the corner of the ring. Shelley propped his feet onto the middle rope and covered, for the 3 count!

Post-Match: Shelley quickly slid out of the ring and backtracked up the aisle, pointing to his head the whole way while X-pac looked perturbed in the ring.

Styles: Great action from these two again tonight. I have a feeling this one is still far from over.



Semi-Final Tournament Match: Jeff Jarrett v Shelton Benjamin
Jarrett and Benjamin shake hands in the center of the ring before the match begins. Styles and Hart talk about Jarrett’s recent turn for the better, questioning the motivation behind it. Styles assumes it stems from the feeling of his friendship with Owen rushing back into his life again in the form of this tournament, while Hart is less than convinced of him motives. They began in a nice wrestling sequence, testing out each other’s limits and strategies. It stayed clean for the first 5 minutes or so, but then they gradually grew in intensity, both knowing the prize that could lie ahead. Shelton Benjamin attempted a springboard maneuver, but Jeff Jarrett countered with a dropkick to his sternum. Jarrett then hit a series of a suplex, backbreaker, and set Benjamin up for a piledriver. As he went to lift him, Benjamin countered, sending Jarrett over his back and crashing to the mat. Benjamin quickly regained the edge, heading to the top rope and nailing a dropkick on Jarrett for a near fall. He headed up top again, this time hitting a flying elbow for another near fall. Benjamin went to the top once more, but Jarrett was there with him this time. Jarrett attempted to climb the ropes, but Benjamin pounded him back down to the canvas. Jarrett, standing in the corner now, suddenly had Benjamin riding his shoulders, possibly setting up a victory roll. Benjamin rolled through, but Jarrett stopped cold, dropping to his knees, and scoring the clean pin!

Jeff Jarrett defeats Shelton Benjamin by pinfall in 12:02. (74/75/75)
Post-Match: Jarrett celebrates, pointing up to the rafters of Kemper Arena. Benjamin approaches and shakes his hand, but Jarrett opts for a brief hug instead. Benjamin raises Jarrett’s hand, the crowd responds with a load ovation for both men.

Styles: Jeff Jarrett has defeated Shelton Benjamin. Jarrett will go on to face Triple H for the CSW Championship tonight, and unfortunately, Shelton Benjamin’s quest to the title has ended here.


Austin Aries & Roderick Strong v Shane Douglas & Tazz
The announcers discuss the antic of Aries and Strong and their successful attempts to bring the two former ECW legends out of retirement. Hart questions that they may have awakened some sleeping giants. Big-time brawling match here that pretty much featured two guys in the ring, and two guys fighting at ringside the entire match. Tazz and Strong fought at ringside early, with Tazz nailing a hard T-Bone release suplex on the outside on Strong. In the ring, Aries tried to bring the match to the mat, but Douglas seemed game, exchanging wrestling holds with the younger Aries. Strong got away from Tazz long enough for the two to nail a double-team brainbuster on Douglas in the ring. Tazz and Aries now fought at ringside, with Strong in the ring unleashing his barrage of backbreakers on Douglas in an attempt to get a pin. Tazz slammed Aries head into the announce table. Aries swung wildly at Tazz, who ducked, and locked on the Tazzmission. Aries though, propelled himself towards the steel ring post, aiming just right and instead connecting it to Tazz’s head, flooring him. Meanwhile, in the ring, Roderick Strong nailed a hard backbreaker out of a powerbomb position on Douglas. Aries climbed to the top rope and nailed a beautiful 450 splash. With Tazz on the outside, it was all academic. 1, 2, 3.

Post-Match: Aries and Strong went to ringside, mugging in the face of the fans and celebrating with them, although the fans seemed less than enthused with their victory.

Styles: I’ll give it to Aries and Strong. They were impressive here tonight. They may have talked alot of crap over the last month, but at least they backed it up here tonight.

Jindrak: Alright, we’ve come here to Kansas City tonight for one reason. We were screwed in the qualifying match for the CSW Tag Team Title. I mean, look at the title match....it doesn’t even have two tag teams! Team Canada couldn’t stay healthy long enough to make it to the title match, and meanwhile, you have two amazing physical specimens like ourselves sitting around with nothing to do. We’re young, we’re got the goods, we’ve got the training, and we can bring it in the ring. So if there is ANY tag team in the back that wants to try to come out here and hang with us....be our guest. And to the winner of the Tag Team Title match tonight, clear your schedule on Cyclone this week, because after we win tonight, we’re coming for our titles.

OH YOU DIDN”T KNOW?!!! YOUR ASS BETTER CALL SOMEBODY!!!!

It’s the New Age Outlaws. They’ve answered the challenge and charged to the ring in a mad dash. The match got underway with Billy Gunn and Mark Jindrak exchanging rights in the center of the ring. The Thrillers used their corner to their advantage most of the match, isolating Gunn and working him over with double-team maneuvers. O’Haire entered the ring and used his bizarre mix of power and speed to continue working over Gunn. Gunn eventually battled back, making the hot tag to Road Dogg for a reaction from the crowd. Road Dogg floored everyone with hard fists, and scored a near fall on Jindrak after a suplex. Billy Gunn and Jindrak fought it out in the ring, while Road Dogg took O’Haire to the top rope. Road Dogg scaled the ropes, setting up a superplex. Just then Austin Aries & Roderick Strong appeared at ringside, apparently hiding under the ring since their last match ended. Aries jumped up on the apron and grabbed Road Dogg’s head, dropping him throat first across the rope. O’Haire then position himself better on the top rope, and leapt off, nailing the Seanton for the pinfall!

Natural Born Thrillers defeat New Age Outlaws by pinfall in 8:23. (77/73/81)
Post-Match: Aries & Strong walk up the rampway to the back, still gloating from their earlier victory and now from their interference in this match. Billy Gunn helps Road Dogg up and looks on at the youngsters, who seem to be saying “2 more bite the dust” holding up 2 fingers as they walk away. .

Styles: Those guys planned this whole thing out. Hiding under the ring until they had an opportune moment to strike. And as a result, the Natural Born Thrillers do exactly as they said, and rolled over the competition here tonight.


Samoa Joe v Masato Tanaka
Joe and Tanaka stared each other down in the center of the ring, their recent 15 minute time limit draw fresh in their minds. Both were mouthing something that couldn’t quite be made out. Tanaka stepped away, as they circled each other to begin the match. A stiff match that saw Joe take control early on. He pounded Tanaka in the corner with alternating chops and punches, before hitting a series of face washes on Tanaka in the corner. Tanaka got to his feet and responded with some hard forearms to the face of Joe, before going behind Joe to attempt a german suplex. Joe ran backwards with Tanaka behind him, smashing him into the corner. Joe then got some momentum, and came crashing into the corner on Tanaka with a high knee to the face. Tanaka fell down out of the corner, and Joe covered for a 2 count. Joe then went on the offensive with his submission skills, trying to wear down Tanaka. Around the 10 minute mark, he locked in an STF for a solid minute, but Tanaka just seemed to be coping with the pain and didn’t even appear to be thinking of submitting. Tanaka finally reached the ropes for a break, and slid under the bottom rope for a breather. Joe responded with a baseball slide dropkick, sending Tanaka to the floor. Joe waited for Tanaka to get to his feet, and bounced off the ropes, flying through the top and middle rope with a suicide dive. But Tanaka nailed him with an Elbow. Tanaka, almost instinctively raised his elbow right into the temple of Joe as he came through the ropes. Joe appeared to be busted open hardway, blood dropping from his eyebrow. Tanaka now took control as the crowd react swelled. Tanaka whipped Joe into the guardrail, once, twice, and a third time. He grabbed a steel chair and folded it up, looking to the crowd. Joe caught him from behind with a hard kick, and took the chair from Tanaka, and crashed it down over his head, flooring him. He then set the chair up next to the barricade and set Tanaka on it, before getting himself some running room, and nailing the Ole kick right to Tanaka’s head, sandwiching him into the railing. Tanaka was now busted open as well. Now at the 20 minute mark, Joe rolled the bloody Tanaka into the ring. Joe whipped him into the ropes and snapped off a vicious powerslam for a very near fall. Joe tried to position Tanaka for a half-nelson suplex, but Tanaka powered out, and spun around, flooring Joe with a Roaring Elbow. Both men were down as the ref’s count reached 8. Tanaka whipped Joe into the corner, and charged, but Joe backdropped Tanaka. Tanaka though, landed on his feet on the apron, and then climbed to the top rope. He grabbed Joe from behind, unaware, and looked like he was going for the Diamond Dust. Joe, bending backward into position, thrust upwards with 3 vicious palms to the face of Tanaka, sending blood flying into the air. Joe, now free from Tanaka’s grasp, jumped up and flipped backwards, hitting the Pele kick to Tanaka’s skull. Joe grabbed Tanaka, still seated on the top rope, and crashed him down with a Musclebuster in the center of the ring. He made a quick and hard cover for the 3 count!

Post-Match: Joe laid on the mat, obviously spent from his encounter. The referee raised his hand, and Tanaka got to his feet as well. Tanaka, with dried blood on his forehead, walked to Joe and extended his hand. Joe looked at him, and looked towards the crowd. Joe slapped Tanaka hard with his open hand. Tanaka looked down, and immediately retaliated, hitting a series of hard elbows to Joe’s face. Tanaka slid out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Back in the ring, he smacked Joe over the head with the chair 3 times, mangling the chair, and leaving Joe lying in the ring. Tanaka stood over him with the chair in hand, looking down and saying “You Learn Respect!”.

Styles: Another amazing encounter between these two. It just keeps getting more and more brutal. And why won’t Joe shake Tanaka’s hand? Does he not respect him?


Backstage Segment: The King of Kings
Triple H is shown sitting in his locker room, lacing up the top lace on his boots and grabbing his tape to wrap his hands.

Triple H: The Championship. This is Central States Wrestling. This is my new home. Back at my old home, I held 10 World Titles. The past is the past though, and now we move on to the future. My future is the CSW Championship, and tonight, my future becomes my reality. Jeff Jarrett? Is this some kind of joke or something? First you attack me last week. Jeff, I know you haven’t been around the big leagues in a while, but a few things changed while you were gone. Never get involved in my business. It never works out well for the little guys. You know, I’ve had to listen to tired comparisons between me and you for the last 4 years. Triple H and Jeff Jarrett? Are you kidding me? People like to talk about backstage politicians. People like to say we both had the bloodline working for us. Well this is a new day Jeff Jarrett. Neither of us have any political affiliation; neither of us have any family members backstage pulling the strings. So what happens now, when it is just two guys meeting in the center of the ring? Who is hungrier Jeff? I can tell you who is fresher....me. The guy who didn’t have to wrestle tonight. Jeff Jarrett, when it is all said and done, and you look to me as the CSW Champion, just remember....this is what I do, and it’s all business.

CSW Tag Team Title Match: Mexicools v Petey Williams & ?????????
The Mexicools came down to the ring first, awaiting their opponents. Petey Williams walked out on the ramp and stood for a moment, looking at the crowd. As Team Canada’s music played, Petey motioned to the stage, unveiling Johnny Devine walking out of the entryway. Devine and Petey slapped hands, and they walked to the ring. The match started out with Devine and Psicosis exchanged a wristlock sequence that ended with Psicosis hitting a tilt-a-whirl armdrag on Devine, who looked befuddled. He tagged in Petey, who went to work on Psicosis. Petey nailed a vicious russian legsweep, and floated over into a pin attempt. In the middle of the match, Devine and Petey tried to keep the quick Mexicools positioned in their corner for some double teams. The Mexicools though, made quick tags and managed to stay fresh and keep the match at their pace. The finish came when Devine was thrown to the outside by Super Crazy. Crazy then bounced off the ropes, and hit a running springboard plancha on Devine, sprawling them on the outside. Psicosis then climbed to the top rope, about to dive to the outside as well. Petey nailed him in the back, crotching him on the top rope. Petey climbed up behind him, and hit a huge release German Suplex from the top rope. Crazy was getting to his feet on the outside, so Petey floored him with a baseball slide. Petey turned his attention back to Psicosis, who he grabbed and set up for the Canadian Destroyer. Devine though, ran into the ring and slapped Petey on the back, motioning for him to instead give him a powerbomb. Devine pointed to the top rope as Petey begrudgingly agreed, dropping Psicosis for a moment. Devine climbed the ropes and squatted on the top rope as Petey grabbed Psicosis for a powerbomb. He took him up, but Psicosis flipped over the top of Petey into a sunset flip. 1, 2, 3!!! Psicosis just rolled Petey up for the win, with Devine still crouching on the top rope, with his mouth hanging wide open.

Post-Match: The Mexicools grab their titles and head into the crowd, celebrated. Meanwhile, in the ring, Devine walks up to Petey and looks to say something when his head down. Petey shoves Devine, asking him what the hell he was thinking. Petey says they had the match won. Devine looks like he is asking for forgiveness as Petey exits the ring and walks away.

Styles: Well, we have new CSW Tag Team Champions in the Mexicools, and Petey Williams and his new tag team partner look to have some serious issues to work out!



Finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament
CSW Championship Match: Triple H v Jeff Jarrett
Jarrett and Triple H made their respective entrance as Bret Hart stood in the ring holding the Central States Wrestling Championship. The referee gave explicit instructions to each men as Bret presented the belt in front of each. Bret headed for the commentary table as Jarrett and Triple H stood in the middle of the ring, face to face. They didn’t say a word, instead, appearing to attempt to view each other’s thoughts. Finally Jarrett put his hand out for a handshake. Triple H smiled and backed away, and Jarrett pulled it away and circled the ring with Triple H. They locked up to open the match, with Triple h gaining the power advantage and backing Jarrett into the corner. The referee ordered a clean break, and Triple H slowly released, before pounding a fist into Jarrett’s ribs. The feeling out process continued until Triple H teased hitting a Pedigree before Jarrett backdropped him over the top rope to the outside. At the 6 minute mark, Jarrett headed outside, trading punches with Triple H in front of the announce table. Jarrett whipped Triple H to the ringside steps, and Triple H hit them knee first, collapsing right in front of them. Jarrett whipped Triple H back into the ring, and went right to work on the injured knee. He set Triple H’s leg on the bottom rope, and came crashing down on it with all of his weight. Jarrett stayed in control, whipping Triple H off the ropes, and attempting a leapfrog, but he came down wrong on his left knee, tweaking it. Triple H stopped himself against the ropes and regained himself, sensing Jarrett was in trouble. As the referee held Jarrett with one arm, checking his knee, Triple H came from behind and clipped Jarrett’s knee hard from the backside. Triple H now went to work himself. Both men, well known pupils of Ric Flair, seemed to be re-enacting every minute of Flair’s lifelong work, destroying the knee. At the 12 minute mark, Triple H took it to another level, sliding to the outside and pulling Jarrett to the corner. Triple H wrapped Jarrett’s knee around the post hard 3 times, and then grabbed his legs in the figure four position. The referee jumped to the outside and got in Triple H’s face, hastily warning him that he would be disqualified if he attempted the move. Triple H thought better of it, and slid in the ring, dragging Jarrett to the center with him. Triple H applied the figure four leglock in the center of the ring. After a long fight, Jarrett almost submitted, but summoned the power to turn it over, pumping his fists all the way. Once turned over, Jarrett was placing the pressure back on Triple H’s knee, which he worked over earlier. Triple H looked as if he might tap out from the excruciating pain, but managed to roll over again, tangling both men in the ropes. Triple H was first to his feet, and Jarrett followed shortly after. Both men, noticeably limping, Triple H stalked Jarrett, kicking his knee out from under his knee from behind, repeatedly. Triple H kept kicking Jarrett, almost flipping him out of his boots. Jarrett finally lay in the middle of the ring, just looking for one last gasp. Triple H grabbed Jarrett’s leg and dropped a hard elbow over his knee. Grabbing his leg again, he this time dropped a legdrop over the knee. But something was wrong?! Triple H’s face suddenly changed as he mouthed “shit!”. Jarrett had his leg, and crisscrossed it with the other, turning over and climbing to his feet. He had Triple H in the Sharpshooter, right in the center of the ring. The pressure pushing down on Triple H’s knee was too immense, and he finally tapped out, giving Jeff Jarrett the CSW Championship!!

Jeff Jarrett defeats Triple H by submission in 18:43. (88/87/89)
Post-Match: Jarrett releases the hold when he hears the bell, and lies in a heap in the center of the ring, exhausted from his 2 matches this evening. Bret Hart walks up the stairs and into the ring with the CSW Championship in hand. As he approaches Jarrett, he has a look of acceptance on his face. They embrace, and Bret raises Jarrett’s arm up with a glimmer in his eye. Jarrett wipes his face, holding his CSW Championship high in the air with his other hand.

Styles: What a moment! Jeff Jarrett is the CSW Champion after a grueling battle with Triple H. What a truly memorable first Supershow for Central States Wrestling. Fans, we’ll see you on Cyclone this Saturday Night!

Cyclone opened up with the Cyclone Spotlight match. Brent Albright headed to the ring to an increasingly bigger crowd reaction, and one of the newest members of the CSW Roster, Mike Sanders, join him in the ring. Sanders grabbed a microphone:

Sanders: Ah, so this is Cyclone Saturday night. Feels good to be here. So good in fact, that I think it is time that I get cozy and make myself one of the regular attractions on Saturday Nights. And what better way to do that, then by winning the Cyclone Spotlight match and cementing myself into the opening of the hottest program on cable TV. It shouldn’t be hard, I mean, after all Brent, I did pin you just earlier this week. So lets not beat around the bush, lets do this thing....

Sanders charged at Albright and immediately ate mat courtesy of an Albright drop toehold. Albright kept Sanders stuck to the mat, shifting his focus from his normal expertise of the shoulder to Sanders right knee. Sanders eventually freed himself as the two men went crashing over the top rope when Sanders hit a clothesline on Albright. Sanders attacked Albright on the outside, slamming his back into the ring apron. Back in the ring, Sanders slapped a bow and arrow on Albright, trying to force him to submit. Albright refused to lose, and came back with some vicious clotheslines and a dropkick to the knee of Sanders. Albright grabbed Sanders for a Texas Cloverleaf, but Sanders grabbed a hand full of hair in grabbed a small package: 1, 2....Albright shifted his weight, rolling Sanders over on his back instead: 1, 2, 3!

Post-Match: Sanders immediately hops up, getting in the referee’s face and questioning his count to 3. Albright walks by and puts 3 fingers right up in Sanders face as he exits the ring. Sanders stares at Albright as he walks down the aisle, with a look of revenge on his face.

Styles: Mike Sanders with a valiant effort, but it looks like Albright learned from their time in the ring earlier this week. Another impressive victory, as Brent Albright holds on to the spotlight.

Joey Styles is in the ring, standing next to a mysteriously shaped podium, which is covered in a black sheet. Styles addresses the crowd:

Styles: Ladies and Gentlemen. I have been given the privilege to at this time make a major announcement which will affect CSW over the next few weeks. As per order of the CSW President, Bret “Hitman” Hart, NWA: Central States will once again be “making the old school new again” when it brings you a concept from the early 90’s of NWA and WCW. The return of Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery. The concept is simple, but winning is quite challenging. On June 30th, Central States Wrestling will present Redemption, which will feature the culmination of Battlebowl. Turn your attention to the video screen for a complete rundown of the rules and schedule:

Styles: And the reward for this difficult mixture of luck and skill? Gold of course. Introducing the second singles title in NWA: Central States: Bridging the gap here in Kansas City between the Kansas side (boos) and the Missouri side (cheers), this is the Kansas City Border Championship!!

With that, Styles pulls the sheet off of the object, revealing a glass case sitting atop a stand. Inside lies the KC Border Championship. Suddenly, some unfamiliar music fills the arena as the fans look towards the entryway. Emerging from behind the curtain is none-other than CSW’s newest superstar: Steve Corino. Corino saunters to the ring to an immediate negative reaction from the crowd. He steps into the ring, looking at the KC Border Championship in its glass case, and extends his hand towards Joey Styles, asking for his microphone. Styles hands it over with a look of disdain on his face:

Corino: Oh Joey my good man, so nice to see you as well. Helllllllo Kansas City! Boy is it good to be here. Surely, you all know where I’ve been right? Well let me tell you in case you don’t. I recently came from NWA: New England. That’s right, N..E..W, where I might add, I was well on my way to winning the NEW Heavyweight Championship. Quick message to Chris Jericho: You lucked out pal. And you’ll need all the luck you can muster to win that tournament. But speaking of LUCK! Do you know how much I’ve had to listen to people whine and complain about luck and curses?! For god’s sake, I’ve spent the last month wanting to stab myself in the ear with a pencil cause I’ve heard so much about the race for the playoffs between the SAHX and the YANKEES. People! Its May for crying out loud. Shut the ***k up! (The hometown crowd cheers the bashing of the twin powers). Oh no no no. Please tell me you idiots didn’t just cheer. Thats right, you have to cheer people making fun of REAL sports teams, cause you sure as hell don’t get to cheer for any teams around here. (Cheers instantly turn to boos). But enough sportscenter. It’s time to talk about why I’m here...

I’ve heard this is Central States Wrestling....where they make the old school new again? Well you sure else hell can’t talk about making the old school new without the “King of Old School”, Steve Corino. And Styles, make sure you keep your grubby little fingerprints off of that KC Border Title. In fact, just keep it in the glass case until June 30th at Redemption, at which point you can help me put it around my waist. Cause that’s right, I am officially the first entrant in Battlebowl. And a quick message to the fortunate soul that draws me as a random partner. Don’t try to get smart with me, don’t try to get cute in there. You just stand on the apron, and ride along on the coat tails of one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world today....Steve Corino!

Corino drops the mic and leaves the ring as the crowd entertains themselves with a “Shut The ***k Up! Clap, Clap, Clap-clap-clap” chant.

New Age Outlaws v Petey Williams & Johnny Devine
Billy Gunn and Johnny Devine started out in the ring. Gunn shoulderblocked Devine to the mat after a brief sequence off of the ropes. Devine tagged in the stronger Petey to try and take down Gunn. Petey went right to him, matching power with Gunn and dropping him with a shoulderblock of his own. Road Dogg entered the match, and Petey went into a nice arsenal of moves including a backbreaker, suplex, and side russian legsweep for a near fall. Devine tagged back in and immediately fell victim to a Road Dogg armdrag. The Outlaws kept Devine in their corner, working him over. Devine hit a back suplex, and looked to his corner. Bypassing the tag to Petey, Devine picked up Road Dogg for a brainbuster, but Road Dogg slid behind him and rolled him up for a near fall. Devine stumbled backwards and Petey blind tagged in off of his back. As Petey entered the ring, Devine asked him what his problem was. Petey responded that he just can’t get the job done. Petey turned his attention to Road Dogg, who rattled off a flurry of punches, ending with a big right hand, flooring Petey. Road Dogg made the cover on Petey, and Devine ran in to break it up. Devine lept in the air with an elbow, but Road Dogg moves, and Devine landed an elbow right on Petey Williams. Road Dogg threw Devine over the top rope, and Billy Gunn entered the ring and nailed the Fame-asser on Petey for the 3 count!

Post-Match: Devine slides in the ring and he and Petey are again having a shouting match with each other. Petey shoves Devine, and Devine responds with a slap to the face. All the while, The Outlaws are backing up the aisle, laughing at the misfortunes of the destructive Team Canada. Out of nowhere, they are floored by Austin Aries & Roderick Strong, the same team that cost them their match at Blaze of Glory. Aries and Strong assault the outlaws in the entryway, nailing stereo brainbusters on the concrete floor. The crowd gives a mixed, but generally negative response.

Styles: It looks like Petey Williams and Johnny Devine need some serious counseling, and it appears as though Aries and Strong have picked their next targets: The New Age Outlaws. We’ve just been informed that all SIX of these men will be entered in Battlebowl, so what a combustible situation that could be!


In-Ring Segment: The Land of the Rising Sun Comes Calling
Todd Grisham stands in the ring with a clipboard and a microphone.

Grisham: It is my honor at this time to introduce one of the top stars in Central States Wrestling and the World round, Masato Tanaka!

Tanaka comes to the ring, dressed casually. He steps in and shakes Todd Grisham’s hand.

Grisham: Now, ladies and gentlemen, and Mr. Tanaka, if you would turn your attention to the video screen, for a very special message from The Professor, Mike Tenay!

Tenay: Thank you Todd. My name is Mike Tenay, and I am coming to you right now via prerecorded message from Japan. As you may recently now, NWA: Japan had to make the unfortunate decision to suspend one of its athletes, Masahiro Chono, from the NWA: Japan Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Due to this, it is my honor to announce at this time, that NWA: Japan is extending this Open Invitation Contract to Masato Tanaka of NWA: Central States, to be an entrant into the tournament. Mr. Tanaka, you are obviously an established superstars in the States, as well as in Japan, and it would be our honor if you would join us in our tournament to crown the NWA Japan Heavyweight Champion. Mr. Grisham has the open contract for your first round match next week, just sign on the dotted line. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to seeing you in action next week!

With that, Grisham pulls a pen from his coat pocket and along with the clipboard, hands it to Tanaka. Tanaka flips up one page of the contract, but wait, Samoa Joe just slid into the ring behind Tanaka. I don’t think Tanaka even sees him. Tanaka puts the pen to the paper, but Joe grabs him from behind in a half-nelson, and takes him backwards with a half-nelson suplex, right on the head. Grisham quickly runs from the ring. Styles: What the hell just happened here? Is Samoa Joe headed to Japan next week to compete in the NWA Japan Heavyweight Championship Tournament? Whatever happens, fans, I've just been informed that as a concession for the use of Tanaka, or Joe, or WHOEVER is headed over to Japan next week, NWA Central States will have it's own visitor from the Far East next week. Officially entered into Battlebowl will be one of the hottest young talents in Japan: CIMA!


CSW Tag Team Title Match: Mexicools © v Natural Born Thrillers
Joey Style says he has just been given an announcement that the winners of this match, the CSW Tag Team Champions will NOT be in Battlebowl but that the losing team will in fact be entered. The CSW Tag Team Champions head to the ring with their titles in hand. They look celebratory as usual, but very focused on tonight’s matchup. The Natural Born Thrillers are out next, and the 2 physical specimens make their way to the ring, looking like all business. The referee informs all 4 men that the CSW Tag Team Titles hang in the balance, and gives them their pre-match instructions. Great matchup from the get go with Mark Jindrak pairing off with Psicosis to open up. Psicosis used his speed on Jindrak, nailing an early headscissors takedown that sent Jindrak sliding under the bottom rope to the outside. O’Haire dropped down to re-convene with his partner. Jindrak slid back in and this time managed to overpower Psicosis and turn the match in the favor of the Thrillers. At the 5 minute mark, O’Haire and Super Crazy ended up in the ring, and Crazy attempted an Ocean Cyclone Bulldog. O’Haire was one step ahead, and used his momentum, swinging Crazy back and dropping him with a german suplex. O’Haire went for the cover, but Crazy kicked out, sending O’Haire rolling to the outside. Crazy nailed a dropkick on Jindrak, dropping him down by his partner on the floor. Psicosis then entered the ring, and the Mexicools bounced off the ropes and dove simultaneously over the top rope, crashing onto the Thrillers at ringside. The Mexicools rolled the Thrillers into the ring and ascended opposite turnbuckles. Super Crazy launched off with a Moonsault while Psicosis tried a legdrop, but both missed! All 4 men slowly got to their feet, and Mark Jindrak ducked a Psicosis crossbody, sending him sprawling to the outside. Jindrak then slighshotted himself over the top onto Psicosis. Super Crazy grabbed O’Haire for a brainbuster, but O’haire reversed it, taking Crazy up instead, and dropping him forward into a version of the Michinoku driver. Crazy barely kicked out. O’Haire’s nostrils were flaming as he grabbed Crazy and set him up for a powerbomb. He then powerbombed Crazy right into the turnbuckle, leaving Crazy prone on his hand and knee’s near the turnbuckle. Jindrak rifled Psicosis into the steel steps, as O’Haire bounced off the ropes. With a head full of steam he ran Crazy over with a Shining Wizard to the temple!! I think Crazy is knocked out. O’Haire rolls over on top of him. 1....2.....3! NEW Tag Champs!!

Thrillers defeat Mexicools by pinfall in 12:34 to become CSW Tag Team Champion. (84/73/96)
Post-Match: Mark Jindrak grabs the title belts and slides into the ring, handing one to O’Haire. O’Haire looks down at Crazy, unconscious on the mat. The Thrillers exchange a look and drop their titles as Jindrak goes to the outside and retrieves Psicosis. Back in the ring, Jindrak throws Psicosis off the ropes and nails him with a huge powerslam. He then holds Psicosis in place as O’Haire bounces off the ropes and flattens Psicosis with the Shining Wizard as well, sending him sprawling into the ropes.

Styles: The Natural Born Thrillers are the new CSW Tag Team Champions, and boy did they leave their mark here tonight on the Mexicools. Impressive win from these two, and Sean O’Haire has obviously picked up a few things in his time away from the wrestling ring. What a beast!

In-Ring Segment: A humbled Champion.
CSW Champion Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring as the fans applaud him. Jarrett is smiling, yet seems slightly emotional still from his win.

Jarrett: You know. Over the last few years, hell, the last 10 years, I’ve been a real pain in alot of people’s asses. I was happy sure, cause I was on top. But I think there came a time, when I was just going through the motions. I forgot all about why I do what I do. I’d become so concerned with the backstage politics, with the games, with the spotlight, that I forgot all about what this is: wrestling. I’d forgotten what it was I loved about wrestling. And then in one simple moment, that all came back to me. When I won my first round matchup in the CSW Title Tournament, and I looked up at the big screen over there, and I saw that picture on the bracket...something clicked. Owen. Owen Hart emboddied everything good about this business, even though every time you got to see him on TV, he was being a sneaky little bastard and doing some devious act. But god he had fun doing it. And god did he love it. Seeing Owen’s picture, with that joy on his face, just made me long for it again. (The crowd breaks into a “Thank You Owen” chant) It made me think of Memphis. Wrestling with my daddy and with Eddie Gilbert and Jerry Lawler. It made me remember breaking in to the World Wrestling Federation. Even though I was J-E-Double F, I still loved every minute of it. And even WCW. People want you to think it was all a train wreck, but my time with Ric Flair and the 4 Horsemen was one of the best of my life. Why? Because I was doing what I loved to do. Sometime between May 23 1999, and May 23, 2006, that feeling left me. But boy am I glad I found it again. Triple H, something you said at Blaze of Glory really stuck with me. You told me that there would be no hard feelings, cause this is all about business. Well a year ago, I would’ve nodded my head, agreed with you, and probably gone out there and lost my match. But at Blaze of Glory, I discovered something: you’re wrong! This is about more than business. It’s about HEART! And now that I rediscovered that, I wish anyone on this roster the best of luck at prying this title away from me, because I will refuse to let go. Shelton Benjamin, I know you have heart. I saw it in the ring this past Tuesday. But right now I’m gonna go sit down with Joey Styles and Tazz, and see who I’m going to be defending this title against at Redemption. Good luck to you, men.

Main Event: #1 Contender for the CSW Championship at Redemption:
Triple H v Shelton Benjamin
Styles announces that the loser of this match will be entered into Battlebowl while the new #1 Contender, and CSW Championship Jeff Jarrett, along with the Tag Team Champions, will NOT be in Battlebowl. Triple H and Shelton Benjamin stare down in the middle of the ring. Having just recently fought for the highest of prizes, and now knowing they could have another shot at it, both men just stare emotionless into each other’s eyes. Benjamin broke the staredown with a hard right hand, which was immediately reciprocated by Triple H. Back and forth punches and action from these two, until Triple H scored with a high knee, knocking Benjamin to the mat. At the 5 minute mark, Triple H turned his attention to Shelton Benjamin’s knees, trying to cut down one of the best athletes in CSW today. He slapped on a spinning toe-hold, repeatedly tweaking Benjamin’s knee, trying to slow him down. Benjamin caught him with a small package out of nowhere, making Triple H rethink his strategy. Benjamin then took control, fighting back with a flurry of punches and nailing a huge splash in the corner at the 7 minute mark. Benjamin lifted himself to the middle rope, and came down with a bulldog on Triple H for another near fall. Benjamin headed to the outside of the ring, where he springboarded off the top rope, into the ring and nailed a dropkick on Triple H. Another near fall for Benjamin. He lifted Triple H, whipping him into the ropes. Benjamin ducked his head for a back bodydrop, but Triple H nailed a facesmash over his knee. Triple H charged at Benjamin, who grabbed him around the head. Look like the T-bone suplex! He hits it! 1......2......Almost a 3 count for Benjamin. He looks stunned. At the 9 minute mark now, as Benjamin waits for Triple H to get to his feet. Look like he is gonna try to finish him off. Kick to the stomach. Benjamin is going for the Pedigree on Triple H! But wait, Triple H backdrops Benjamin, but Shelton holds on, and Shelton’s shoulders are pinned to the mat with Triple H laying on top of him. 2 count, but Shelton bridges up, showing amazing athleticism, and spins under Triple H’s arms, wanting to hook a backslide. Benjamin misses Triple H’s arm, leaving himself exposed, where he takes a hard kick to the stomach, and a Pedigree. 1.....2.....3!

Triple H defeats Shelton Benjamin by pinfall in 10:05 to become the #1 Contender to the CSW Championship at Redemption. (77/74/75)
Post-Match: Triple H walks to the side of the ring with the announcer’s table and leans over the top rope, staring a hole into Jeff Jarrett and his CSW Championship. Jarrett stands up from his seated position and holds the title high in the air, smiling as the broadcast fades away.

Cyclone Saturday Night kicks off with a bang as Brent Albright makes his way to ringside to once again open up the show. Albright looks to be gaining confidence as he looks towards the entrance ramp to see Vampiro is his opponent this week. Vampiro's first singles match since coming to CSW, and it'll be in the Cyclone Spotlight. As each man got into the ring, Mike Sanders music kicked over the PA. He strutted out to the ring, walked right by, and headed for the commentary booth:

Sanders: Hello gentlemen. I thought I would go ahead and bring some class to the "Spotlight" match tonight, by bringing you one of the hottest, brightest shining stars in the CSW today....myself of course. It looks like Albright could have his hands full right here tonight!

Cyclone Spotlight: Brent Albright v Vampiro
Albright and Vampiro had a nice opening match with Albright working over Vampiro's left arm, and the crowd getting more and more into Albright every week. The finish: Albright nailed a single arm DDT on Vampiro, and just as he did, Mike Sanders stood up from the commentary position, and slid a steel chair into the ring. Albright looked down at the chair, and kicked it hard right back towards Sanders. It smacked Sanders right in the stomach, doubling him over. Vampiro had gotten to his feet, and took a swing at Albright, who grabbed his arm, and dropped into the Crowbar. Vampiro taps!

Albright defeats Vampiro by submission in 6:31 (67/60/75)
Post-Match: Albright slides out next to Sanders and pats him on the back, probably a lot harder than he really needed to. Albright walks away as the crowd claps, and Sanders looks on in disgust, unable to take the spotlight from Albright once again.

Styles: Brent Albright just keeps his winning ways going, and looks like he is gaining some confidence and edge along the way. Sanders seems hell bent on putting an end to Albright's Spotlight streak, but I just don't see it happening.


Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
Howard Finkel stands in the ring and grabs a microphone.

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the first match, in Battlebowl, which will crown the first ever Kansas City Border Champion on June 30th at Redemption! The rules of Battlebowl are that out of the field of 32 eligible competitors, 2 random names are chosen to face off against 2 other random names. The winner of that match advances to 1 of 2 Battle Royals. The winner of each Battle Royal will go 1 on 1 at Redemption to crown the KC Border Champion! Let's meet our first competitor!

Petey Williams' music kicks on as Petey walks out to a chorus of boos from the Kansas City crowd. Petey slides into the ring, shoots a look at the fans, and turns his attention to the entranceway.

Finkel: And his partner....

Billy Kidman walks out to a nice pop from the crowd who haven't seen him in a while. Kidman slides into the ring and reaches for a handshake with Petey, who shakes his hand and exchanges a few words with him.

Finkel: And the first of their opponents...

Chris Chetti makes his way out to a courtesy pop from the crowd. He slides into the ring and looks to the entrance...

Johnny Devine comes walking out next. Petey and Devine are on opposite teams to kick off Battlebowl. Petey Williams has a look of shock on his face, with a slight smile perking out of the corner of his mouth. The referee calls for the bell!

A back and forth match, with Devine and Petey meeting up in the ring a few times. Petey was very rough with Devine, and Devine seemed to be taking offense. The Finish: Kidman clotheslines Chetti over the top and to the floor on the outside. Petey whips Devine into the ropes, and jumps for a leapfrog. When Petey comes down, he tweaks his knee. The referee is checking on him as Devine comes over to take a look as well. Devine puts his arm around him to hold him up, and Petey SNAPS off a Russian Legsweep, dropping Devine. He picks Devine up, and NAILS the Canadian Destroyer for the win for his team!

Petey Williams & Billy Kidman defeat Johnny Devine & Chris Chetti by pinfall in 8:23 to advance in Battlebowl. (69/57/89)
Post-Match: Petey pulls Devine up by the arm and smacks him on the back of the head, almost saying "I got you this time", but being a real dick about it. Devine turns and shoves Petey. Petey looks down at his own chest, with handprints from Devine. He smiles towards the crowd, and drops Devine with a hard right hand before leaving the ringside area.

Tazz: You know, these Canadians really need to settle their differences or just get away from each other. Either way, it isn't working. Nice debut for Billy Kidman, and great to have him here. We'll see both he and Petey Williams in the Battle Royal in 2 week!


Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
Austin Aries is the first out to the ring for his Battlebowl match. He looks towards the entranceramp and slowly awaits who will hold his chance at the KC Border Title in their hands. He is a bit perplexed to see...

Maven, in his debut with CSW, is in Battlebowl, and will be paired with Austin Aries. He offers a handshake, but Aries just kind of smiles in his direction. They both watch the entranceway.

X-pac's music hits as the crowd explodes. Aries and Maven both look at each other with a sudden look of determination on their faces. X-pac stands in the ring and points towards the entranceway...

Roderick Strong walks out next. He has a huge evil grin on his face, and Aries returns the look right back to him. Strong gets in the ring, and whispers something to Aries as Maven and X-pac just stand by in disbelief. The referee calls for the bell.

Maven offers to start for his team, and X-pac heads to the apron...but Strong grabs him and tells him to start the match. X-pac rolls his eyes, seeing where this is probably going. Maven and X-pac square off for a bit, but neither can seem to tag in their tag team partners, who seem pre-occupied talking to the crowd, lacing their boots, and generally not paying attention. Maven and X-pac hit a double clothesline, still wanting to get the win, and both are down, crawling for their corners. The Finish: As each man dives for the respective tag, both Aries and Strong drop off of the apron and meet each other in the entrance ramp. They're both laughing at pointing in the ring, as the referee leans over the ropes, begging them to get back in the match. Just then, Alex Shelley comes from the crowd and slides in behind the unsuspecting X-pac. X-pac turns around, right into the SHELLSHOCK! Shelley is gone before anyone even notices, including Maven, who was still down. Maven stands up, sees X-pac down, drops an elbow, and covers for the 3 count!

Maven & Austin Aries defeat X-pac & Roderick Strong by pinfall in 7:13 to advance in Battlebowl. (69/60/78)
Post-Match: Aries is clapping for Maven as Roderick Strong has a mock look of disappointment on his face for his team losing. They both slide into the ring and raise Maven's arms in victory. Maven looks confused, and is right to, because before he knows what happens, Aries and Strong drop him with a double brainbuster. Aries climbs the ropes and makes a motion of a belt around his waist.

Styles: You know, these little pricks are back at it again, this time just not even participating in the matchup. The one thing I really can't understand is that alot of these fans seem to be enjoying it. I guess even Hitler had his fans. Either way, we're gonna see Maven and Austin Aries entered into the Battle Royal!


Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
Low Ki walks to the ring as the announcer tells us it is time for our 3rd Battlebowl match. Ki looks like he is all business as he stands in the center of the ring.

Super Crazy walks out next, looking in the ring and being very happy with his pairing. He slides in and bumps fists with Low Ki. This team is going to be hard to top!

Both men stand surprised as Psicosis walks out next. He looks in the ring and smiles at both men, still standing in the aisle. He turns around, hoping he gets a good draw to compete with this superteam.

It's CIMA. All the way from NWA: Japan, CIMA is making his first appearance in CSW. He walks out and slaps Psicosis on the back. They shoot each other a glance, and both sprint to the ring, sliding in.

Great matchup here between 4 stars with plenty of international recognition. Back and forth action, spilling in and out of the ring the entire time. The Finish: Psicosis is laid out in the ring, thanks to a Super Crazy Powerbomb. Low Ki heads up top and comes off with a vicious double-stomp to the chest of Psicosis. As Ki looks down to go for the pin, he is blindsided by CIMA, who knocks him over the top to the outside. Super Crazy grabs CIMA for an attempted powerbomb, but CIMA counters it in midair to a facebuster. CIMA climbs the ropes and comes off with a vicious Frog Splash for the victory!

CIMA & Psicosis defeat Super Crazy & Low Ki by pinfall in 11:12 to advance in Battlebowl. (76/67/86)
Post-Match: All 4 men meet in the center of the ring and exchange handshakes. Low Ki is the first to leave, with his head held low. CIMA shakes hands with both Mexicools and leaves the ring to a nice ovation. Psicosis and Crazy are last in the ring, and embrace before Crazy raises Psicosis' hand. Crazy makes the motion of the title belt around Psicosis' waist, and they both head out of the ring.

Tazz: What a great match from 4 great competitors. Gotta love the post match sportsmanship as well. Our first international star, CIMA is headed to the Battle Royal, and Psicosis will join him as well. I'm a bit worried about Low Ki, who just can't seem to pick up a win lately here in Central States Wrestling.


Backstage Segment: Natural Born Champions
Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak are sitting backstage watching a monitor. They hold their CSW Tag Team Title Belts over their shoulders as they watch the last match end on the monitor.

O'Haire: I'm honestly surprised those guys can even walk after last week. They may not be champs, but they're some crazy tough Mexican bastards.

Jindrak: Maybe they need another knee to the back of the head to set them straight and show them the road back down to the border

O'Haire: Well, they just may get one if they get in our way, kind of like every other so called "tag team" in the dressing room. People are gonna learn to not only respect the CSW Tag Champs, but they are gonna fear us, by--

The sound of somebody clearing their throat interrupts O'Haire, and both Thrillers quickly rise to their feet and turn around. Standing before them, with a smirk on their faces, are Austin Aries & Roderick Strong.

Aries: I didn't want to interrupt your little stroke fest there about how great you guys are, but I wanted to just bring something to your attention. Remember Blaze of Glory? That wasn't too long ago. Well, you won a match against the New Age Outlaws, thanks to the two of us, that somehow made you the #1 Contenders to the Tag Team Titles, and eventually led to you winning those pretty belts.

Strong: Meanwhile, we mopped the floor with two former ECW "stars" in Shane Douglas and Tazz. I guess you have to go after the big boys from the WWE to get noticed around here, so that’s exactly what we did with The Outlaws. Anyway, enough about our affairs...lets talk about yours. We're here right now to make a simple challenge. You have those belts right now because of us, so it is only fair that we get a shot at the CSW Tag Team Titles next week on Cyclone!

O'Haire & Jindrak look at each and O'Haire kicks the chair out of the way that sat between the two teams.

O'Haire: Listen punks. We defend these titles any time, any where, and I guarantee you their isn't a team in the Central States Wrestling that even has a chance of taking these away from us. First off, we would've killed the Outlaws regardless of what you idiots did while you were hiding under the ring. Secondly, your asses are on, next week, for the CSW Tag Titles. Just don't be sad when you look up after the match and see us still holding these pretty belts over your short little heads.

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, the final Battlebowl match of the evening. Introducing first...

Elix Skipper makes his way out to a negative reaction from the local crowd. Skipper is mouthing off and stands on the middle rope, taunting the locals. He anxiously looks up to the entrance:

And here comes Nova. The former Simon Dean is back in his old persona and has been training hard to get back in real performance shape. A nice mix of styles here between the two innovators. They shake hands and look up to the entrance...

Both react with a look of disgust, as Steve Corino's music kicks on. Corino walks out with a smug look on his face and stares at the two guys in the ring. A quick cut to last week's surprise appearance by Corino airs:

Corino: I've heard this is Central States Wrestling....where they make the old school new again? Well you sure else hell can't talk about making the old school new without the "King of Old School", Steve Corino. And Styles, make sure you keep your grubby little fingerprints off of that KC Border Title. In fact, just keep it in the glass case until June 30th at Redemption, at which point you can help me put it around my waist. Cause that's right, I am officially the first entrant in Battlebowl. And a quick message to the fortunate soul that draws me as a random partner. Don't try to get smart with me, don't try to get cute in there. You just stand on the apron, and ride along on the coat tails of one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world today....Steve Corino

Back to live action

Corino stands in the ring, looking intently towards the entryway. He has a look of intensity, and hopefulness as music fills the arena...

HERE COMES THE PAIN!

It's the CSW debut of Brock Lesnar. The look on Corino's face is priceless. A look of shock quickly turns into a huge open mouth smile as Corino realizes he may have just pulled a trump card with the return of Brock Lesnar to the ring. Lesnar soaks in the reaction of the local crowd, and leaps up onto the ring apron. He slides into the ring and walks right by Corino and clotheslines Nova nearly out of his boots to open the match.

The crowd goes ballistic as Brock hits all of his signature spots on Nova. He throws Nova into the corner, allowing him to tag Skipper, who fires off a barrage of kicks before Lesnar catches one and plants him with a powerbomb. The Finish: Lesnar takes Skipper up for the F5 and nails it on him, absolutely destroying him. As he drops him, Corino slaps Lesnar on the back and climbs up to the top rope, dropping an elbow on the heart of Skipper for the 3 count as Lesnar stands by staring at Corino.

Brock Lesnar & Steve Corino defeat Elix Skipper & Nova by pinfall in 5:30 to advance in Battlebowl (81/72/91)
Post-Match: Lesnar is staring Corino down as Corino jumps around like a moron in the ring. Lesnar smiles a bit, and turns away, only for Corino to jump on his back, pumping his fist in celebration. Brock shakes him off and shoots him a look that calms him down in a second. Corino reaches out for a handshake, and Brock shakes his hand and leaves the ring. Corino looks out to the crowd and points towards Lesnar, knowing he just had a godsend of a partner.

Styles: Corino didn't even wrestle!!! All that talk about just staying out of his way and letting him do his thing, and the little bitch barely got in the ring. Oh, he made sure to take the credit though, like always. I have to question Corino's motives here in befriending Lesnar, but who knows, I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt...for a week. Lesnar looked incredible, and we'll see both he and his tag team partner in the Battle Royal in 2 weeks.


Video Segment: The King of Kings
Styles: My broadcast partner, Tazz, had the unenviable task of sitting down with the number one contender, The Game Triple H, earlier this week. I have to say, I'm glad it wasn't me, partner.

Tazz: It was definitely illuminating.

Styles: Let's roll it.

Tape Rolls

Tazz: It's my pleasure to sit down with the number one contender for the CSW Heavyweight title, Triple H. Game, thank you for joining us.

Triple H: The pleasure's all yours.

Tazz: Many of the fans were shocked by the fact that you were, I guess we'd have to call it upset, by Jeff Jarrett in the finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament to crown the first ever CSW Heavyweight Champion. What are your thoughts?

Triple H: My thoughts? My thoughts? Well, Short Round, my thoughts aren't really that deep on it. I got robbed. I am THE GAME. I am the King of Kings. I'm a 10 time WWE Heavyweight Champion. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, in that tournament was even in my league. Hell, did you see what happened in my first round match?

Tazz: Well, that would have been when you damn near crippled Charlie Haas in a show of poor sportsmanship that has seldom…

Triple H: I didn't "damn near cripple" him. Charlie Haas' career will never be the same again. I destroyed him like the lower class citizen he is. What was he thinking stepping in the ring with me? What has he ever done?

Triple H tosses the table between them out of the way and gets right up in Tazz's face, nose to nose.

Triple H: Listen here, you little goddamn midget! That belt will be around my waist after Redemption. You can take that straight to the bank. Because I am The King of Kings. I am the Game. I am the greatest wrestler alive today. And Jeff Jarrett can't even carry my bags. Interview over.

Triple H rips off his mic and walks out.

Main Event: Non-Title Match: Jeff Jarrett (CSW Champion) v Ken Shamrock
Both men shake hands in the center of the ring to start the match, and have a nice old school matchup. Shamrock continually works on Jarrett's leg, and Jarrett attempts to work over Shamrock's knee, but Shamrock constantly turns it into offense of his own on Jarrett. They get a bit intense in the middle of the match, exchanging chops, and Shamrock hitting a belly to belly suplex over the top rope and to the floor. The Finish: Shamrock, intent on slapping the ankle-lock on Jarrett, continues pounding away on the ankle. He finally locks it in, right in the center of the ring, but Jarrett climbs up the ring ropes, trying to release the pressure. Shamrock pulls him back to the middle of the ring, and Jarrett powers up onto his hands again, this time whipping around and nailing a kick right to Shamrock's chest. Shamrock releases and bounces off the ropes, stumbling forward right into a Jarrett small package for the win!

Jeff Jarrett defeats Ken Shamrock by pinfall in 13:12. (85/82/89)
Post-Match: Shamrock quickly hops up and gives a quick argument with the referee about the 3 count. He turns to Jarrett, and shakes his hand. He grabs the title from the referee and presents it to Jeff Jarrett before raising his hand to the crowd, who responds in kind.

Welcome to the CSW Event Center, your quick wrapup that airs every week immediately following Cyclone Saturday Night, getting you caught up on important news and event.

First and foremost, we owe you a huge announcement regarding the NWA World Champion. President Bret Hart has announced that next week at 3:00 PM, from Harrah's Hotel and Casino in Kansas City, MO, will be a press conference. Mr. Hart has invited whom he feels to be the 5 TOP contenders in Central States Wrestling for the NWA World Championship. As was recently announced, the NWA World Champion will be crownd at NWA Great American Bash, on July 2, from Boston, Massachusetts. We'll bring you full coverage of this event, next week, LIVE on Cyclone. Now word yet on who the 5 men will be, but speculation has already begun. At the press conference, Mr. Hart will announce which of these men will be CSW's represenative in the NWA World Title Match at Great American Bash.

Next, news on Samoa Joe. As many of you know, Samoa Joe recently took the contract intended for Masato Tanaka for the NWA: Japan Tournament to crown their first Heavyweight Champion, and signed HIS name to the dotted line. It has been confirmed that Joe IS in Japan this week, and evidently will be competing in that tournament. Tanaka was said to be very upset by Joe's continued lack of respect. The Event Center has learned that Tanaka was backstage at Cyclone this week, and is entered into Battlebowl. Obviously, his name wasn't called, so we can expect to see Mr. Tanaka next week.

And the first group of Battlebowl Matches is done, so we can now confirm this match for Cyclone on June 17:

We already know that Jeff Jarrett will defend his CSW Championship against Triple H at this event, as well as the Finals of Battlebowl to crown the KC Border Champion. Due to the incidents AGAIN this week on Cyclone, Mr. Hart has announced another match for this supershow:

Alex Shelley v X-pac, 2 out of 3 Falls Match

Central States Wrestling is hopeful that this special attraction match will help these two men finally settle their personal grudge against each other.

A short recap video flashes through last week's events including the victories in Battlebowl by the teams of Corino & Lesnar, Aries & Maven, Petey & Kidman, and CIMA & Psicosis. The video also shows the heated backstage confrontation between the teams of Aries & Strong and the CSW Tag Team Champion Natural Born Thrillers. Lastly, it shows Jeff Jarrett and his victory over Ken Shamrock in a non title match, closing with an image of them shaking hands in the center of the ring, and Triple H's face burning onto the screen from his sit down interview. Cyclone is NEXT!!!


Cyclone Spotlight: Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery

Howard Finkel is standing in the ring.

Finkel: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match is your first Battlebowl match of the evening, and is also the Cyclone Spotlight match! Cyclone Spotlight rules are in effect, and if the defending Spotlight winner gets pinned, he will lose his spot! So without further ado, the first competitor in this match: Brent Albright!

Albright makes his way to the ring, looking very focused. He'll have to work extra hard this week to keep his status in the Cyclone Spotlight. He turns to the entranceway, hopeful for a good partner to keep things going. He isn't disappointed.

Ken Shamrock makes his way out, jumps in the ring, and shakes hands with Albright. They immediately look to be talking strategy, and make up a nice team. They continue talking as the first opposing superstar makes his way out:

OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW?! Road Dogg makes his way down to the ringside area to a strong reaction from the crowd. He slides in, and also shakes hands with the two men in the ring in a show of good faith. Who will his partner be?

Vampiro makes his way out to a negative reaction from the crowd. He shakes hands with nobody, and just stands in the corner, waiting to get the match started. The referee calls for the bell.

Back and forth action between both teams, with Shamrock and Albright consistently working the right arm of whoever they got into the ring. Vampiro tagged in, and then didn't seem to want to tag back out, frustrating Road Dogg. Vampiro isolated Albright, apparently wanting to get the win over him and take the Cyclone Spotlight position, something he was unsuccessful in last week. The Finish: Vampiro continues the attack on Albright, and gets him in a suplex position. He takes him up, looking for a Falcon Arrow, but as he holds him in position, Albright grabs hold of his arm and they fall to the mat. Albright has a cross armbreaker on Vampiro, and he has no choice but to tap out!

Albright and Shamrock defeats Road Dogg & Vampiro by submission in 6:14 to advance in Battlebowl. (72/68/76)
Post-Match: Road Dogg immediately leaves his selfish partner in the ring, who slowly gets up and walks to the back, holding his shoulder. As Shamrock and Albright shake hands on a victorious match, Mike Sanders comes out of nowhere and blindsides Albright. He pounds on him from behind, and then nails the Lungblower, dropping him on the mat. Shamrock is just standing in the corner, watching. Sanders isn't done yet. He picks up Albright, and this time hits a reverse Lungblower, on the chest of Albright. Sanders grabs a microphone and stands over him.

Sanders: Brent Albright! Next week is the week that the Cyclone Spotlight finally moves on to give someone else a chance. Sure, I still can't have a shot at it, after you cheated me out of a victory a few weeks ago. But I'll tell you what I have done: I have a special mystery opponent for you. Good luck Albright, and I hope your ribs feel better by then!

With that, Sanders drops the mic and places one more kick to the chest of Albright before exiting the ring, cautiously watching Shamrock, who still stands in the corner. The timekeeper grabs Sanders and whispers something into his ear, motioning at his note cards in his hands. Shamrock begins shaking his head and walks towards Albright. He kind of slaps him on the back of head and says "Get up". Albright looks up, not sure what to make of this. Shamrock again smacks him and seems to say "Don't let that punk keep you down!", and motivates Albright up to his feet. Shamrock extends his hand, and finally gets a proper handshake. Albright clutches his ribs as they leave the ring together. Sanders still stands on the other side of the ring, not looking happy, as Howard Finkel steps into the ring...


Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery

Finkel: And now, for our second Battlebowl Match. Competitor #1, already at ringside: Mike Sanders

Sanders hops into the ring as the crowd really lets him have it now. He isn't in his gear, having been at ringside due to the aftermath of the last match. Sanders removes his t-shirt, and looks like he'll be wrestling in his jeans here. He turns to the entranceway.

Jimmy Yang, one of the most recent signing of CSW, makes his way down to ringside to a nice courtesy pop from the crowd. He looks at Sanders and seems to say something to him about his previous actions. Their conversation is cut off by the music of....

James Gibson. Gibson makes his way down to ringside and slides into the ring. He turns his attention to the rampway again.

It's Billy Gunn! Gunn runs and slides into the ring, tackling Sanders on his way in. Billy Gunn looks motivated, and this match is underway!

Gunn and Sanders started things off, with Gunn using his power to control the match. Gibson tagged in and tried to wear down Sanders with submission holds, but Sanders tagged his partner Jimmy Yang. The former Jung Dragons had a nice wrestling sequence to start things off, ending with a swift Yang kick to the back of Gibson's head. After some more back and forth action, Gibson hit a superplex on Yang for a near fall. The Finish: Sanders and Gibson spilled to the floor in a brawl, leaving Yang and Gunn in the ring. Gunn set him up for his Cobra Clutch Slam, but as he lifted him, Yang rolled forward into a victory roll position, pinning Gunn's shoulders to the mat for the 3 count!

Jimmy Yang & Mike Sanders defeat Billy Gunn & James Gibson by pinfall in 7:10 to advance in Battlebowl. (71/62/80)
Post-Match: Jimmy Yang extends his arms in the arm for a nice pop from the crowd, and immediately leaves the ring, looking like all business. Sanders is celebrating at ringside and leaving as well. Almost immediately following the match, Gunn is still arguing with the official, claiming it was only a 2 count, when Roderick Strong & Austin Aries slide into the ring behind Gunn. As Gunn turns around, they nail him with a double delayed brainbuster, leaving him lying in the ring. The crowd seems about 50/50 now, some cheering and some booing the actions of Strong & Aries. They leave the ring and exit through the crowd, satisfied with their work. Road Dogg comes running down and helps Billy Gunn up, apparently too late to stop the attack. The Outlaws stand in the ring, fuming.

Tazz: This thing between the New Age Outlaws and Roderick Strong & Austin Aries just wont seem to go away. But how about that impressive debut by Jimmy Yang, pinning Billy Gunn in his debut here on Cyclone. Unfortunately, thanks to Yang, Mike Sanders also advances to the 2nd Battle Royal in Battlebowl. Those Battle Royals are just getting packed with more and more talent! Now what the hell is this?


In-Ring Segment: Oh, Canada!
Johnny Devine is walking out to the ring to no music, and gets into the ring. He stands there, just looking kind of aimless, when all of a sudden, we see Petey Williams come walking out in the same fashion. No theme music, and looks a little bit perplexed as to why he is coming to the ring. They have some quiet words in the ring, with Petey looking very frustrated. Petey grabs a microphone:

Petey: What the hell Devine? I got a frickin note handed to me in the locker room that says to get to the ring right away. What's going on?

Devine snatches the mic from Petey.

Devine: What're you talkin about? I just got a note that said to get my ass out here right away for some urgent business. I figured it was from you, wanting to apologize for being a real DICK these last few weeks.

Petey steals the mic back.

Petey: What'd you just say to me? The only person that needs to apologize around here is you for dropping the ball so many times that my back hurts from picking it up. And I'm sure I look like a real dick lately in the eyes of the world's biggest PUS---

Before Petey can finish his last line, he is (thankfully) cut off by the Canadian National Anthem playing through the arena. Both men look around, wondering just what the hell is going on, when Coach Scott D'Amore comes walking out of the entranceway, waving a Canadian flag on his way to the ring. The crowd is booing him, and he climbs into the ring and takes the microphone from Petey.

D'Amore: Listen boys. I'm the one that asked you two to be out here in the ring right now. I can't sit idly by and have two of the world's greatest Canadian athletes at odds with each other. Only 3 weeks ago, you guys were a 3 count away from being the CSW Tag Team Champions, and now look at you. Fighting. Insulting. Hell, even hitting each other.

Devine snatches the mic again.

Devine: Hitting each other? I haven't done a damn thing to Petey. He whipped my ass last week, hit the Destroyer on me, and pinned me. Totally uncalled for.

Petey: Oh Jesus Devine, this is what I'm talking about. It was Battlebowl. It was every man for himself. You think I'm gonna take it easy on you? I would hit the Canadian Destroyer on my own mother if it meant getting some gold around my waist.

D'Amore: This is what I'm talking about. This right here. Well tonight, it all stops. Tonight Team Canada turns a new page, and restarts their quest for the CSW Tag Team Titles. Tonight is the dawning of a new era. Tonight, is the night of TEAM CAN--

D'Amore is now suddenly cut off as the lights go out in the arena, and the familiar music of Trish Stratus fills the arena. The crowd explodes as Trish makes her way down to the ring and has a microphone of her own.

Trish: Oh boy. This is tough. I'm sorry guys. but THIS is Team Canada? Not really representing our countrymen well, are we? I mean, first we have Petey Williams. Petey, what is the deal with the 5 'o' clock shadow? Still waiting to hit puberty Peter, so you can grow in a real beard?

The crowd responds with laughter as Trish now turns her attention to Devine.

Trish: And Johnny Devine. Dude, are you still cutting your hair with a flowbee? And I think I have bigger guns than you.

Trish flexes her right arm as the crowd pops for her again.

Trish: And Coach Scott D'Amore. This is almost two easy. I've been wondering when I'd see you show up in CSW, with all your little Canadian buddies here and all. Did you stop at every buffet between Universal Resorts in Orlando and here in Kansas City? Cause it sure as hell looks like it.

D'Amore is pissed off, and Petey and Devine are holding him back now, seemingly putting them all on the same page for the first time in weeks.

Trish: Okay, well enough of the insults, cause I could really go on all night. I'm sure you've all heard the rumour that I was headed to CSW, and that I had a new client or clients that I would be presenting to Central States Wrestling. Well, Team Canada, I'm putting you all on alert. You aren't gonna meet them just yet, but be assured that they have your number. Having YOU 3 represent Canada is a joke, and I'll show you what true Canadian pride is all aboot!

With that, Trish tosses the mic towards Devine, who drops it at his side. The 3 men of Team Canada put their heads together and have a brief discussion, and D'Amore leaves the ring first, still waving his flag. Devine steps through the ropes and stands on the apron as Petey is still in the ring. Devine extends his hand to Petey, and Petey shakes it. But then DROPS him over the top rope throat first. Devine falls to the outside, where D'Amore nails him across the back of the head with the flagstick. Trish picks up the microphone:

Trish: Oh Johnny. Did that hurt? So sorry we had to set you up, but you really are the weakest link. Let me welcome you all the new incarnation of Team Canada.

D'Amore slides into the ring and embraces Petey. The raises their arms in the air together, as Trish continues talking, standing behind them.

Trish: Actually, there is still one order of business left.

Trish drops to her knees and punches D'Amore from behind, right in the balls. D'Amore doubles over, and Petey looks at Trish. Trish gives that lovely dirty girl smile that we've all grown to love, and Petey grabs D'Amore and NAILS the Canadian Destroyer on the big man. Petey and Trish lock eyes and embrace as the crowd lets the boos fly.

Trish: Now let me introduce you to my newest client. The most dominant female Canadian wrestling is now with the most dominant Male Canadian in wrestling. The man who will win Battlebowl, and the KC Border Title at Redemption. The man that possesses the single most devastating finishing maneuver in the ring and in the bedroom......Petey Williams! Oh yeah, yeah, boo all you want now. 5 minutes ago you were going crazy because most of you losers were seeing a real woman in front of your eyes for the first time in your pathetic lives. Well guess what, all you get to do is look, and Petey here gets to touch....all night long. Oh, and Petey, I didn't mean all those nasty things I said about you. I really love the way your rough beard feels against my smooth face.

With that, Trish and Petey engage in a make out session that would make Lita and Edge proud. The crowd continues to boo as the two wrap up their spit-swapping and head out of the ring, the fallen Coach D'Amore and Johnny Devine left in their wake.

Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
Roadkill is the first man out, and he looks to the entranceway to see who his partner is. The crowd erupts when through the curtain walks:

Danny Doring! How lucky can you get! Doring & Roadkill get to team up together in Battlebowl. It should be smooth sailing for these men, just due to their years of experience together. Suddenly, some theme music hits:

Shelton Benjamin comes walking out, and looks very determined, and very worried that he got the unlucky draw of facing a tag team with experience in Battlebowl. Benjamin turns, almost cringing as he waits to see who his partner will be. His cringe quickly turns to a smile.

Its CHARLIE HAAS!!. Making his return after being injured on the first week of Cyclone back in May, Charlie Haas is back, and his random partner is Shelton Benjamin! Benjamin and Haas embrace in the entryway as Doring & Roadkill suddenly look less excited than they were initially. The former World's Greatest Tag Team runs to the ring and being the match.

Benjamin and Doring pair off to start. Great old school tag team matchup, with Benjamin playing face in peril. Roadkill and Doring keep him in their corner, beating on him with frequent tags in and out of the ring. Finally, Shelton gets the hot tag to Charlie Haas, and the arena erupts. Haas plows over both men with clotheslines and leg lariats. The Finish: Haas clothesline Doring over the top rope, and Benjamin comes running out of nowhere with a plancha over the rope, keeping Doring on the floor. Haas tries a suplex on Roadkill, but can't get the big man up. Roadkill nails a kick to the stomach, and bounces off the ropes, looking for a big clothesline. Haas catches him though, and hits an Exploder! He covers, 1...2...3!

Benjamin & Haas defeat Doring & Roadkill by pinfall in 10:01 to advance in Battlebowl. (77/68/86)
Post-Match: Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin embrace, being together in the ring for the first time in a long time. Haas immediately grabs a microphone.

Haas: Shelton, it is great to be back in the ring with you, and that felt incredible, but right now, I have some unfinished business to take care of. TRIPLE H! You think its funny trying to use me as a stepstool to the CSW Title? You want to attempt to cripple me? I heard last week you said that I'll never be the same again in this ring. Well you were right! And you're gonna find out just how different it is to be in here with me. Because next week on Cyclone, it is me and YOU, one on one! And I don't have one problem saying this to you. I guarantee victory next week, and I guarantee I'm gonna KICK YOUR ASS!

Haas drops the mic, and Shelton is standing next to him with his mouth wide open. We see Shelton mouth "Are you f***ing crazy?" to Haas. And Haas just embraces Shelton and raises their arms up in the air together. Shelton is still eyeing Haas, wondering just what in the hell he got himself into.

Styles: Wow. What a return to the ring for Charlie Haas. He gets the pinfall, and then lays it out on the table for Triple H. It'll be Haas v Triple H next week, in a rematch from the match where Triple H took Charlie Haas out for over a month. And how about Haas & Benjamin both advancing to the BattleBowl Battle Royal. This thing just keeps getting better and better.


Video Segment: The Announcement

Styles: Ladies and Gentlemen, right now we're gonna take you to video coverage from today's press conference here in Kansas City. President Bret Hart had invited 5 names for consideration for CSW's spot in the NWA World Title Match at NWA Great American Bash on July 2. The names were leaked earlier this week as being Triple H, Jeff Jarrett, Samoa Joe, Steve Corino, and Ken Shamrock. This will be the first we've seen of this press conference, as it has been under tight wraps:

Tape Rolls

The scene opens on a banquet room with a huge CSW backdrop behind the center table. On the backdrop is a CSW logo and the slogan "Making the Old School New Again" is plastered all over it. The scene from camera left to right on the stage shows Steve Corino, Triple H, President Bret Hart, A podium, Samoa Joe, Ken Shamrock, and Jeff Jarrett. All the superstars are sitting in chairs with their names in front of them on placecards. Steve Corino is on a cellphone. Triple H is wearing sunglasses. Samoa Joe is staring straight ahead. Ken Shamrock sits quietly looking around the room. Jeff Jarrett sits with the CSW Title resting in front of him on the table. Bret Hart rises and steps to the podium:

Hart: First off, I'd like to thank all the members of the media who have come out today for this announcement. Since the reformation of the NWA and its 7 territories, we've heard nothing but great things from the media, wrestling experts, and fans alike. NWA Great American Bash on July 2 from Boston, Massachusetts will truly big a huge event. The NWA's first PPV event must be a successful one, and it will be headlined by a series of matches to crown the first NWA World Champion since the reformation of the NWA. Every territory will delegate someone to take part in this match, which is the reason we're here.

I've invited 5 of the most accomplished contenders to the NWA World Title here today. Seated to my far right is former NWA Champion Steve Corino. Next to him, the 10 time WWE World Champion, Triple H. Now to my left, the man that held the Ring of Honor World Championship for an unprecedented 21 months. Next to him is another former NWA World Champion and legend of the Ultimate Fighting World, Ken Shamrock. And seated to the far left is a 5 time former NWA Champ, and the current Central States Wrestling champion, Jeff Jarrett.

After much consideration, and weighing all of the factors, including giving CSW the best chance to bring home some gold, I have made my decision. Representing CSW at the Great American Bash on July 2, in the NWA World Title Match, will be......CSW Champion Jeff Jarrett.

Triple H had begun to stand even before Hart's final announcement, and quickly sinks back into his seat. Jarrett gets up and walks toward Hart, shaking his hand. As Jarrett steps up to the podium, Triple H smacks his water bottle off of the table, and removes his glasses quickly standing up. He walks over to Jarrett, cutting him off before he could get to the podium. They exchange words face to face, and Jarrett holds his CSW Title up next to Triple H's face. Steve Corino is standing behind Triple H, shouting encouragement, telling him to "kick his ass". Ken Shamrock has risen up, and is trying to pull Jarrett away, to avoid a confrontation. As Triple H and Jarrett stay face to face, both look down and step back about half a foot a Samoa Joe slowly rises from his seat. They were standing right over him, and he rises right in between the two. Joe gives Jarrett a look, and then gives the same to Triple H before walking away from the press conference, and slamming the door open on his way out.

Styles: Unbelievable. The tension in that room was unreal. And how about Jeff Jarrett being the representative of CSW at the Great American Bash.

Tazz: Frankly Joey, any of those men would have been a great asset to CSW at the Bash, but Jeff Jarrett deserves it. He is the current CSW Champion, and has worked hard to get there. This thing between Triple H and Jarrett is about to boil over though, and don't think Triple H doesn't take this as a personal insult.

Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
Howard Finkel is once again in the ring.

Finkel: This is the final match in the opening round of Battlebowl. Following this matchup, we will have all 16 participants for the 2 Battle Royals, which will take place over the next two weeks. Introducing first...

Alex Shelley's music hits and he makes his way out to ringside. Shelley stands in the ring, posing for his fans (the crowd is about 50/50 it seems) as his partner makes his way down to ringside.

Kid Kash comes out and slides into the ring, shaking Shelley's hand. A nice team here for the final Battlebowl matchup.

Both men look upset when they see Masato Tanaka head out, the first representative of the final team of Battlebowl. Tanaka stands in the ring, looking both men up and down. Tanaka's look of determination turns to a look of anger as the next music fills the arena...

Unbelievable. Samoa Joe is Tanaka's partner. I can't see this possibly working out, but you know both of these men would love to put some gold around their waists. Lets take you back to last week, courtesy of NWA: Japan's Ichiban TV and show you what happened in Japan:

Joe and Tanaka stare down in the ring, and Shelley and Kash take advantage, jumping Tanaka from behind. They pound Tanaka down to the mat, as Joe walks over and stand on the apron. Shelley and Tanaka are in the ring now, and Shelley hits a nice standing dropkick, sending Tanaka into the ropes. Joe slaps Tanaka on the back, hard, tagging himself in. Tanaka turns around, looking upset with Joe. Shelley quickly tags out to Kash to avoid Joe, which Kash doesn't seem happy with either. Kash runs at Joe, but Joe snaps off a quick snap powerslam for two. The Finish: Kash tags in Shelley, and they doubleteam Joe, hitting a double dropkick on him. Joe stumble back into his corner, where Tanaka tags him in by slapping him hard on the chest. Joe turns and slaps Tanaka in the face. Tanaka grabs Joe around the neck, and pulls him through the ropes where they both fall to the floor. Tanaka fires elbows into Joe's face, as Joe fights back with hard slaps to the chest. Both men are beating the hell out of each other down the entranceway as the bell rings!

Alex Shelley & Kid Kash defeat Samoa Joe & Masato Tanaka by countout in 5:43 to advance in BattleBowl. (79/71/88)
Post-Match: Tanaka and Joe continue pummeling each other down the entrance way. Tanaka hits Joe with a roaring elbow, leaving him prone against the guardrail. Tanaka grabs a chair and gets about 20 feet of room. He runs full speed at Joe and nails him over the head with the chair. Joe recovers, and swings the chair wildly, nailing Tanaka in the back of the head. Officials come pouring out of the back, trying to separate the two men, but they continue fighting, all the way into the backstage area. Meanwhile, in the ring, Shelley and Kash celebrate their "hard fought victory", and Kash leaves the ring. As Shelley steps through the ropes, X-pac comes through the crowd and plants him with a right hand, sending him into the ring. X-pac slides in, and drops him with the X-factor. He stand over him and can be seen saying "That's called a receipt, bitch!".

Tazz: Wow, so much going on in that match I don't know where to start. Shelley & Kash advance in Battlebowl. Joe & Tanaka just can't stop fighting, and someone is gonna get hurt soon. X-pac just got his revenge on Shelley for costing him HIS Battlebowl match, and those two meet in 3 weeks at Redemption in a 2 out of 3 falls match.


Backstage Segment: Old School
Tazz: Fans, we're gonna take you backstage, where apparently Steve Corino has requested the use of a camera man. Styles, I have no clue what is going on, so lets take a look:

Corino is seen in a shaky shot by a camera man, walking towards the locker room area.

Corino: What’s up fans. Now I know reality TV is still all the rage in the TV world, and the higher ups here in CSW hired me to pop the ratings here, both in the ring and out of it, so that’s exactly what I'm gonna do. You fans are gonna get to see the REAL side of the backstage world right now. I'm about to head into my tag team partner's locker room, where we are gonna have a nice little strategy session for next week's Battlebowl Battle Royal. Let's check it out!

Corino turns and walks to a locker room which reads BROCK LESNAR on the outside. Corino makes a "shhh" gesture towards the cameraman, and then just opens the door and walks in. Lesnar quickly rises to his feet, surprised to see someone barging into his locker room.

Lesnar: What the hell are you doin here? And what’s with the camera?

Corino: Well hello to you too little buddy. I'm here to talk strategy. After we were so successful last week in our debut match as a tag team, I knew we should refine our strategy even more going in to the Battle Royal next week.

Lesnar: "Our" strategy?

Corino: Yeah, what are we gonna do to keep going as the most dominant tag team in Central States Wrestling?

Lesnar: First off, we aren't a tag team. And secondly, next week is an 8 man Battle Royal. It has nothing to do with our teaming up last week. Which, I'm not sure if you realize this in that little "crazy bubble" you live your life in, but it was a random pairing.

Corino: Random maybe, but surely decided by fate. Now listen little buddy, I know that next week is a Battle Royal, but I have a hell of a proposition for you. You and Me, we clear the ring, just destroy the other 6 guys in that match. Then, we'll shake hands and see who the last man standing is. Winner, of course, goes on to win the KC Border Title at Redemption. Its a foolproof plan, and I figure, who better than you and me!?

Lesnar: Who better? Well, are you sure you don't wanna pick someone a little less...destructive. Cause I'll tell you right now, "little buddy", you don't wanna be the last man standing in that ring with me next week. Maybe you should find someone else to brainstorm with.

Corino: Someone else......butttttt, c’mon! We have such a deep history as a tag team together. I just knew you and I could make this happen. Why not eliminate all the competition, and then see what happens between two of the finest wrestlers alive today, you and me!

Lesnar just stares at Corino, wondering if he actually wants him to answer again. Corino looks perturbed, but changes his tone.

Corino: Okay, look Brock. In all seriousness. There is some talent in that ring. And then there is us. But why leave it up to chance, or why give people the chance to gang up on us. Obviously they'll be gunning for you, cause you're a big man. You could use me to watch your back. And I know there’s a few guys in there that'll be gunning for me, so you can watch my back. At the end, whatever happens happens, but lets make sure we're the last 2 men in that ring next week. Whaddaya say?

Corino offers his hand. Lesnar stares him down and then grabs it, yanking him right into his face.

Lesnar: In all seriousness, Steve....okay. But I swear to God, if you turn on me, I will f***ing kill you. And I don't mean that figuratively.

Corino swallows hard, and backs away slowly, pulling the cameraman with him.

Corino: Alright then! We'll see you next week. Have a great week Brock!

Corino shuts the door behind him and gathers himself against the wall before realizing the cameraman is still filming him. Corino pushes the camera away and walks down the hallway.

Main Event: CSW Tag Team Title Match:
(Champion) Natural Born Thrillers v Austin Aries & Roderick Strong
All 4 men stare down in the center of the ring before Strong throws the first chop, opening up a wild brawl that persists through the whole match. Strong and Jindrak pair off, fighting down the aisle, and Aries & O'Haire exchange blows in the ring. Aries drops O'Haire with a snap suplex, and hits a knee drop coming off of the ropes. Jindrak gets the best of Strong and comes into the ring, attacking Aries from behind, and hitting a double team Hart Attack on Aries with O'Haire. More back and forth action, with Strong getting a nearfall on Jindrak following a double-knee backbreaker out of a fireman's carry position. The Finish: Strong sets Jindrak up in a powerbomb position, as Aries is climbing the ropes. O'Haire cuts Aries off though, rushing him on the top rope. O'Haire sets up Aries for a Superplex, but Aries fights out of it and drops O'Haire to the mat below. Aries goes for the 450, but O'Haire gets the knees up, dropping Aries. Jindrak backdrops Strong to the outside of the ring, and O'Haire is measuring Aries up for the Shining Wizard. He rushes Aries, but Aries moves out of the way and schoolboys O'Haire. 1......2....nearfall! Aries now takes advantage, and sets O'Haire up for a brainbuster. Strong joins him in the ring. Looks like they're going for the double brainbuster. Its the New Age Outlaws! The Outlaws run into the ring and beat down Strong and Aries as the crowd boos, hoping to see a finish to the match. Jindrak and O'Haire now get in the Outlaws face for the run in. A huge brawl erupts between the 4 of them. Coming out of the crowd now, its The Mexicools! They jump Jindrak and O'Haire from behind, but Aries and Strong pull them off. All 8 men are fighting it out in the ring. The referee is calling for the bell.

Natural Born Thrillers & Aries & Strong go to a No Contest in 11:15. (75/65/85)
Post-Match: All 8 men continue to battle it out. Psicosis and Strong in one corner, Aries and Jindrak in another, O'Haire and Road Dogg in another, and Gunn and Super Crazy in the last. They all fight it out as officials fill the ring, attempting to separate all the teams.

Styles: Well I'd say the CSW Tag Team Titles are a hot commodity around here. All 4 of these teams seem to want a piece of them, and it doesn't look like any of these wars are over yet. Looking ahead to next week, we have three confirmed matches already on the slate:

Charlie Haas will take on Triple H in a match that has bad news written all over. Haas wants revenge after Triple H sidelined him for over a month, and Triple H will no doubt be in a foul mood after being overlooked at the press conference to decide who would represent CSW at NWA Great American Bash, with a chance for the NWA World Title.

Brent Albright will once again open up the show in the Cyclone Spotlight, but with a bit of a twist this week: Mike Sanders has promised to bring a man that will take that spotlight away from Albright, something Sanders himself had been unable to do previously.

And also, the first Battlebowl Battle Royal will take place. The winner of this match will advance to Redemption, for a shot at the KC Border Championship. The competitors are as follows:

We have to question the motive of this next part, because these men are plenty lethal with just their hands, but we've also been informed that the use of Chairs in this match will be LEGAL. What a matchup that should be.

A quick promo video opens the show, highlighting tonight's two huge main event matches. A recap is shown from the very first Cyclone, on May 6, when Triple H defeated Charlie Haas in the main event to advance in the CSW Title Tournament. Afterwards, Triple H viciously attacked Haas, destroying his knee on the ringpost and locking in a Figure 4 around the post. Haas' return to action and victory last week in his Battlebowl match is shown as well. The video then flashes the faces of 8 men: Maven, Austin Aries, Billy Kidman, Petey Williams, Psicosis, Steve Corino, Brock Lesnar, and NWA: Japan star CIMA. All 8 men will enter the ring tonight for a chance to advance to Redemption and get a shot at the Kansas City Border Championship. Who will be the last man standing tonight? Cyclone is NOW!

Cyclone Spotlight: Brent Albright v ????????

Brent Albright makes his way down first as the announcers put over his impressive winning streak. 6 weeks in a row, Brent Albright has successfully defended his spot in the Cyclone Spotlight. Albright looks very focuses, and stares intently at the entryway, when Mike Sanders' music hits and he walks out.

Sanders: Hellllo Kansas City! Welcome to Cyclone, I'm your gracious and wonderful host Mike Sanders. Ladies and Gentlemen, you are lucky to be in attendance tonight. Lucky that you could get off your tractors, put the cattle away, hitch a ride in your momma's pick-up truck to come down here to this lovely....facility tonight. Because tonight, you're gonna witness history. Brent Albright. Quite a little winning streak you have there, huh "shooter"? Well it all ends tonight, and you finally take a step out of MY spotlight. Your opponent this week is a former WCW Cruiserweight champion. He is a multiple time WCW Television Champion. And by god, he is one HELL of a good dancer! You may know him as Glenn Gilbretti, but to me, he has always been the Disco Inferno!!!

Disco dances his way out and mugs to the camera. He is met by a much deserved round of boos from the crowd. He and Sanders embrace, and Disco runs to the ring, getting the matchup underway. Albright immediately goes to his focus, working over the right arm of Disco. He gets him into a hammerlock and just refuses to let go. Albright slams him, suplexes him, and runs him into the corner with the hammerlock still applied. Disco finally gets a break thanks to Sanders distracting Albright on the outside by hooking his leg as he hit the ropes. Disco takes control for a bit, showing some impressive in ring talent and little ring rust. The Finish: Disco stays on the attack, and nails a middle rope superplex on Albright for a very near fall. Disco then measures him up for the Ace Crusher. Albright turns, and Disco foolishly tries the Crusher with the bad arm. Albright falls straight down on it into the Crowbar, but Sanders grabs Disco's foot and drapes it over the rope for the break. Disco is trying to keep the arm from Albright, who is unmercifully going after it. Disco is concentrating so hard on keeping Albright from the arm, that as Albright reaches behind him for it, Disco lets himself get hooked into a Northern Lights suplex, for the 3 Count!

Brent Albright defeats Disco Inferno by pinfall in 7:21. (74/57/91)
Post-Match: Disco immediately jumps up, surprised at how quick Albright snapped it off. He runs at Albright, but Albright drops him in the Crowbar again. Disco is now tapping out as Sanders jumps into the ring and puts the boots to Albright. Sanders nails him twice in the head with the microphone, and then speaks into it as he attacks Albright. "It'll be just like this next week in the main event, when I throw your ass over the top rope!", and with that, he hurls Albright over the top and to the floor. Disco and Sanders raise their hands in the ring, as Ken Shamrock walks out into the entryway. Albright gets to his knees on the outside, and looks over to Shamrock. Shamrock is statue-esque, not making a move, but Albright nods and slides back into the ring, clotheslining Sanders to the mat. Before Albright can turn to Disco, he is jumped from behind by Disco. Sanders gets to his feet, and they put the boots to him again, this time ending in a Lungblower by Sanders. Sanders and Disco clear the ring as Shamrock remains standing in the entryway. Sanders and Disco pass by him, and Shamrock remains focuses on Albright, just shaking his head as Albright crawls to his feet. As Albright gets out of the ring, Shamrock turns and walks into the back.

Styles: Brent Albright again picks up the victory, but pays for it dearly after the match. I don't know how many more of these Sanders beat downs, Brent Albright can take. And what is with this relationship between Shamrock and Albright? We haven't seen them even speak to each other. They were randomly paired in Battlebowl, and since then Albright keeps ending up on his back.

The Tag Champs Hold the Power
The Natural Born Thrillers, Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire, step out of the curtain and on to the entranceway. They step to the side and O'Haire grabs the mic, clearing his throat and adjusting the CSW Tag Team Title on his shoulder.

O'Haire: Ya know, sometimes it is really hard being a champion. You have a constant bull’s eye on your chest. Everyone is gunning for you. Like last week. We're defending our CSW Tag Team Titles against Austin Aries & Roderick Strong. Sure, we had the match in control, and were well on our way to yet another successful title defense. But then, the New Age Outlaws get involved. And then, The Mexicools get involved. And before you know it, the match is over, the fans are unhappy, and we didn't get the 1, 2, 3. But as always, we are still YOUR CSW Tag Team Champions.

O'Haire hands the mic to Mark Jindrak, who first buffs his title belt with his hand.

Jindrak: But then, there are times when it is just GREAT to be the champion. Like tonight for instance. We arrive at the arena, and have a brief pow-wow with CSW President Bret Hart. Him being the understanding man that he is, he can see how last week we were wronged in our title match, and we need some kind of a resolution to this whole mess. So he puts the ball in our court, seeing as how we ARE the Champs and all. So we've made it quite simple, and it is even easy for you idiot Kansans to understand. The 3 Tag Teams that got involved with us last week have been put on alert to be ready to perform at any given time tonight. Well boys, the time is now. Right now, a Triple Threat match, first fall wins. It is gonna be Super Crazy of the Mexicools (loud cheer), Billy Gunn of the New Age Outlaws (cheers), and Roderick Strong (mixed reaction, mostly boos) going one on one....on one. And the man that scores the pinfall of submission in this matchup, well, his team will go on to face us for the CSW Tag Team Titles at Redemption! Let the games begin!

With that, Jindrak and O'Haire stay standing as the music of Super Crazy fills the arena. Crazy comes out, a bit tentative of the Tag Champs standing next to the entryway, and heads to the ring.

Triple Threat Match: Roderick Strong v Super Crazy v Billy Gunn
Winner's team gets CSW Tag Title shot at Redemption

Roderick Strong is out next, and he eyes the Tag Champs as he passes by them. He is quickly followed by Billy Gunn, who also acknowledges the Champs, and makes the motion of the belt around his waist. Gunn and Crazy double team Strong to begin the match, and work on alienating him on the outside. Eventually, Gunn turns on Crazy and drops his with a Sleeper Hold Slam for a near fall. Strong gets back in a nails a dropkick on Billy Gunn, and then hits a powerbomb into a backbreaker on Super Crazy for a near fall. The Natural Born Thrillers slowly walk down to the ringside from their position in the entranceway. They stand right next to the apron as the action continues, and hook then leg of Super Crazy as he bounces off the ropes. Crazy turns to look at them, but Strong rolls him up for another nearfall. The Finish: O'Haire & Jindrak continue to stick their nose into the match. Strong has Gunn up in a fireman's carry, setting him up for a move, but Jindrak pulls Gunn off of Strong's shoulders. Super Crazy bounces of the ropes and is heading right towards Gunn and Strong, but he dives right over the top of both of them, and crashes down onto the Natural Born Thrillers at ringside. They double team Crazy after getting up, and throw him in the ring. As they do, they pull out both Gunn and Strong, and start pounding on them. Suddenly, running through the curtain is Austin Aries, Psicosis, and Road Dogg. They all ambush the Thrillers from behind and each take turns beating on the champions. The referee has thrown the match out, and calls for the bell. The Thrillers retreat to the back, showing the 3 contending teams that they still have the belts. All 3 teams then engage in an intense staredown with each other.

No Contest in 7:45. (72/64/81)

Tazz: I think the Thrillers had this planned out all along, but I'm pretty sure they weren't planning on getting the beatdown of their life at the hands of 3 hungry tag teams! We understand a cameraman has caught up with Triple H in the back -- lets take you there now!

Backstage Segment: It's all Under Control
A shaky camera shot hurries around a corner and almost gets knocked over by Triple H, who quickly walks by, almost looking like he is trying to get away from somebody. He looks annoyed and calm at the same time. Suddenly, we see Steve Corino walk into the picture as well, trailing behind Triple H and in mid-sentence:

Corino: ...and then that was so awesome at the Press Conference. You were all up in Jarrett's face like "I don't think so", and he was all standing in your face like "C'mon, you want some of this?", and I was all like "Yo, I got your back", and it was just a great moment in wres---

Triple H stops and turns around.

Triple H: Excuse me. But who in the hell are you?

Corino looks astonished that he would be asked such a question.

Corino: Well I'm Steve Corino, the "King of Old School"!

Triple H: Well that's just great Stan, but I'm Triple H. The Game. The King of Kings, and the next CSW Champion come Redemption. And I'm the guy that wants you to leave him the hell alone.

Triple H turns to walk away, but Corino quickly speaks, keeping him engaged.

Corino: It's STEVE Corino. The "King of Old School", and the next KC Border Champion come Redemption!

Triple H: What the hell is that, a Barbeque Sauce or something?

Corino: What? No. Its a prestigious title representing both the K--

Triple H: Yeah whatever, nevermind. Listen, I have a busy night tonight. I have to go deal with a pest control problem and help Charlie Haas dot the I's and cross the T's on his suicide note that he signed last week. So if you don't mind, I guess I'll be seeing you later.

Corino against talks before Triple H can leave. Triple H is obviously getting annoyed.

Corino: Yeah, well, I'd wish you good luck, but I know your track record, and you don't really need luck when you always have a master plan. Surely you have a plan right?

Triple H now seems interested in where this conversation could be going.

Triple H: A plan for what? Charlie Haas? Yeah, I PLAN to squash his ass like a bug and take his knee home as a souvenir. I hardly need a plan for somebody like Charlie Haas.

Corino: No no no. Not for Haas. I was talking about Redemption, when you meet Jeff Jarrett for the CSW Championship.

Triple H: Listen, I don't know what you're trying to do, but I'm hardly going to divulge my gameplan to someone like --

Corino: So you don't have a plan??! Well I have a plan for myself for tonight.

Corino was obviously leading Triple H into asking him what the plan is, but instead, Triple H just stares at Corino. After about 7 seconds of awkward silence, Triple H begrudgingly gives in.

Triple: Oh, gee, what’s your plan?

Corino: Thanks for asking. Surely you've seen the little tag team partner I dug up to ensure I'm the last man standing tonight in the Battle Royal. I'm talking about Brock Lesnar. He and I have a deal. We toss all the garbage out of the ring, and then we go at it mano-ee-mano and the winner goes on to Redemption to win the KC Border Title.

Triple H smiles, and takes in the fact that he gets to take the "King of Old School" to school.

Triple H: Wow. Great plan you have there. First of all, how are you gonna trust someone like Brock Lesnar. This is a guy who is an admitted selfish son of a bitch. This is a guy who walked out on his company, when he was on the top, in a time when they needed him most. You think that’s the kind of guy you want being your ally in an "every man for themself" situation? He is gonna dump your ass the minute he gets the chance, cause he wants that BBQ sauce title even more than you do. And even if your little deal does work out, and you two are left in the ring....you really wanna face Brock Lesnar? The guy is a machine. A Monster. I could empty the cliché book on that guy, cause he is just that damn good. But hey, glad you have it covered. Nice plan, Stan.

Triple H turns and walks down the hall, leaving Corino speechless finally. Corino mutters to himself for a minute, and then looks up, long after Triple H has left.

Corino: It's STEVE!

Masato Tanaka v Kid Kash
This match was prompted when Kash had been bragging throughout the week to CSW.com about his win over the likes of both Samoa Joe and Masato Tanaka last week in the Battlebowl match. Tanaka is out first to a great reaction from the crowd, and Kid Kash makes his way down next, getting booed loudly the whole way. Kash uses his speed to try to get the advantage over Tanaka, but Tanaka is very focused and floors Kash with a hard elbow to the face. The Finish: Tanaka controls most of the match, and nails a series of elbows, backing Kash into the corner. Kash nails a kick and puts Tanaka into the corner, but Tanaka hits a Roaring Elbow out of nowhere, stunning Kash. Tanaka hops up to the middle rope, grabs Kash by the head, and nails a Tornado DDT for the win.

Masato Tanaka defeats Kid Kash by pinfall in 5:54. (79/72/87)
Post-Match: Tanaka celebrates in the ring with the crowd solidly behind him when Samoa Joe comes running down the aisle and slides into the ring. Tanaka puts his hands up, and Joe stops in his tracks. Tanaka says to Joe, "The Match is signed. Enough is enough. We'll settle this at Redemption". Tanaka walks right by Joe, but Joe spins him around by the arm, and slaps him in the face. Tanaka looks down to the mat, and then looks up and speaks again to Joe. "You will learn respect, one way or the other." Joe again slaps Tanaka hard in the face. Tanaka just stares a hole into Joe and exits the ring. Joe looks dumbstruck, standing in the ring, wanting Tanaka to fight him.

Styles: Tanaka & Joe will meet one on one at Redemption, with Chairs being a legal weapon in the match. This thing will probably get brutal, and I think Tanaka is just angering Joe more by not fighting him now.

Triple H v Charlie Haas
Triple H makes his way out first, climbing the ropes and making the belt motion around his waist. The crowd gives him everything they can, booing him unmercifully. He gladly soaks up all of the jeers. Charlie Haas makes his way out next, to a loud reaction from the crowd. They're really behind him tonight, and want to see him rebound well from his injury. The ref rings the bell, and as the two men prepare to lock up Jeff Jarrett's music hits. The CSW Champion walks down to ringside and walks right by the ring and over to the announcers' table where he joins Joey Styles & Tazz. Triple H is very upset, and immediately begins jawing with Jarrett. Charlie Haas schoolboys Triple H. 1.....2.....almost. Triple H gets up and immediately floors Haas with a hard right hand. They exchange blows in a back and forth matchup that is pretty even until Triple H sees his opening and takes it. Haas goes up to the top rope as Triple H is stunned on the canvas. Triple H quickly hurries to his feet, and runs right at Haas, giving him a lariat right around the knee. Haas falls from the top to the outside, clipping his leg on the apron on the way down. Triple H drags him in the ring, running through his catalog of work on the knee until Haas can barely stand. Haas gets trapped in the figure four and damn near passes out, but won't submit. He reaches the ropes, and Triple H releases, and starts kicking Haas in the head, telling him to give it up. Triple H drags Haas to the corner and towards the same ringpost where he did him in more than a month ago. Jarrett is yelling now from the announcers' table. "Hunter, just pin his ass. This is enough". Triple H jaws back to Jarrett. "Take a good look Jeff. 14 days, and this is you." Jarrett stand up from the announcers' table and Triple H leans over the top, begging him to come get in the ring. Haas slowly pulls himself away from the corner as Jarrett moves towards the apron. Triple H takes a step back and once again makes the motion of the CSW Title belt around his waist. Jarrett says "I don’t think so", and before Triple H can respond, he finds him self on his back for the 1, 2, 3!! Charlie Haas schoolboyed Triple H, and got the win.

Post-Match: Triple H sits in the ring, down right pisses off about what just happened. Haas limps to the entryway before Triple H can retaliate, and is met by the embrace of Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin and Haas celebrate with the crowd, as Triple H remains emotionless sitting in the ring. Jarrett walks around the ring and up the steps, getting into the ring. Triple H turns and starts to crawl to his knees. Jarrett takes off his shirt and throws it down at ringside. He removes his sunglasses and tosses them into the crowd. He lays the title down in the center of the ring, and gets in a fighting stance telling Triple H "I know you're pissed off. Lets do it". Triple H's nostrils begin flaring as he climbs to one knee. Jarrett is perspiring, waiting. When Triple H suddenly rolls under the bottom rope and grabs his back. He grimaces as he walks up the ramp saying "14 days".

Tazz: What a matchup! Charlie Haas scores the win over Triple H, and just when it looks like we're going to get a huge encounter between Triple H and Jarrett, Triple H is out of here with a back injury? I can't wait for Redemption!

In-Ring Segment: Bad Blood: Boiling Over
Joey Styles is standing in the ring with microphone.

Styles: Ladies and Gentlemen. Please help me welcome at this time, the man who will compete in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match at Redemption.....X-pac!

X-pac comes down to the ring to a mainly positive reaction from the crowd. He seems to be getting a few boos, but nothing major. He slides into the ring and gives a crotch chop to the crowd that responds in kind.

Styles: And his opponent in that same match at Redemption.....Alex Shelley!

Alex Shelley comes walking out, looking like a superstar. He slides into the ring and pats Joey Styles on the back before looking out to the crowd, which responds with a half-and-half reaction for Shelley.

Styles: Gentlemen, thank you for electing to join me in the ring tonight for this "non-physical" one on one encounter before your match at Redemption. Many of the fans are asking, and most want to know where this bad blood came from between you two? X-pac?

X-pac: For me its so simple Joey. Way back on May 6th, when this whole crazy thing known as Central States Wrestling got started, I faced Alex Shelley in a first round matchup in the CSW Title Tournament. Basically, this little bitch just couldn't handle it when I beat him 1, 2, 3. So after the match, he attacks me. And then in my next matchup, trying to advance in the tournament, the little prick comes out and attacks me again, eliminating me from the tournament. Now you know I'm not the kind of guy to just take a bitchslap like that and not dish out a receipt, so I did what I had to do.

Styles: Understandable. Thing get heated sometimes in the CSW ring, and I think we all understand that ---

Shelley: Hold on there Joseph Styles. I don't think X-pac was quite finished yet. Go ahead, ask him what happened after he "gave me a receipt"...

Styles holds the mic to X-pac who just glares at Alex Shelley. Shelley pulls the mic back towards himself.

Shelley: Okay then, let me help you out with that. We went one on one for the second time, this time at CSW Blaze of Glory, and I pinned Mr. Pac right in the middle of the ring, 1..2..3.....kid!

X-pac: Listen bitch, the only reason you pinned anything that night is because you got lucky, and you cheated, grabbing the ropes to pin me. You and I both know there is no chance you can beat me in a legitimate match.

Shelley: Au Contrere. I think what both you and I know is that I AM better than you, and I CAN pin you one on one when it counts. I did it at Blaze of Glory, middle rope or not, and I'll do it at Redemption. The beautiful thing about a 2 out of 3 falls match X-pac, is that you won't have anything left for excuses after I've defeated you twice in one night.

X-pac: Fat chance kid. I will personally guarantee victory in that match, and there isn't a chance in hell you will beat me. What do you think about that?

Shelley: What do I think? I think you're becoming a desperate shell of your former self. I think you know that the revolution is coming, and the young up and comers are gonna knock you and all these other fossils from the ranks sooner rather than later. I think you know that at 23 years old, I'm twice the wrestler you were even in your prime. And I think deep down you know that when we meet in the ring at Redemption, guarantee or not, you aren't gonna be the one with your hand held high after that match. You'll gaze across the ring, and the realization will hit you like a ton of bricks, that you just became another victim in Alex Shelley's rise to the top, baby!

With that, Shelley turns around and stretches his arms out to the crowd. The respond, almost more cheers than boos at this point. Shelley definitely has the Kansas City crowd on his side. Before Shelley can turn back around, X-pac grabs the microphone out of Styles hands, and ambushes Shelley from behind. He nails him in the back of the head with the microphone, letting out a loud THUMP each time. He continues pounding him down to the mat, and then wraps the microphone chord around his neck. He hurls him over the top rope, dangling him by the microphone cable in his hands. Officials and referees run to the ring, prying X-pac away, who simply lets go and sends Shelley falling to the floor below. X-pac leaves the ring, now receiving a very even mix of cheers and boos from different sections of the crowd.

Main Event: BattleBowl 8 Man Battle Royal:
Austin Aries v CIMA v Brock Lesnar v Psicosis v Steve Corino v Petey Williams v Maven v Billy Kidman

All 8 men make their separate entrances to the ring. It appears that people will hold true, at least a bit to their original teamings. Lesnar & Corino are in a corner, and shake hands, their alliance apparently as strong as ever. Psicosis & CIMA huddle in another, and talk briefly with one another. Austin Aries & Maven are in another corner, with Maven attempting to talk strategy, but Aries mostly blowing him off. Petey Williams is gawking at ringside with his new manager Trish Stratus, and his former Battlebowl partner Billy Kidman is trying to get his attention. Trish is leaving the ringside area, and Petey turns and smacks Kidman with a hard right hand as the referee rings the bell. Back and forth action all over the place to start off, with most everyone just brawling and working on eliminations as quick as possible. Corino & Lesnar are staying together, and seem to have targeted Maven. Petey & Kidman continue to go at it, with CIMA and Psicosis taking it to Austin Aries. Corino and Lesnar hit a double clothesline on Maven, and they pick him up and easily hurl him over the top rope.

ELIMINATED - Maven (via Corino & Lesnar at 2:34)

As the other superstars see this happening, they huddle on one side of the ring, leaving Corino & Lesnar on the other. Petey Williams, Kidman, Psicosis, CIMA, and Austin Aries all gather together and have a quick discussion. They bum rush Corino & Lesnar, dropping them both with a flurry. Psicosis & Aries drag Corino to one corner and beat on him, while Kidman, CIMA, and Petey take care of Brock Lesnar in the other. Aries charges into Corino in the corner but eats boot, sending him to the mat. Corino climbs to the middle rope for an elbow, but Psicosis hits a dropkick on Corino, sending him falling over the top rope. Corino hooks him foot on the top rope, leaving him dangling in a tree of woe on the outside of the ring. Psicosis desperately tries to pry his foot from the rope. Meanwhile, Lesnar picks both CIMA & Kidman up over his head and slams them down with a double spinebuster. He runs Petey over with the clothesline and makes a mad dash towards Psicosis. With one hard shoulder tackle, he propels Psicosis over the top rope and down to the floor.

ELIMINATED - Psicosis (via Lesnar at 5:02)

Lesnar reaches over and pulls Corino up by his neck, setting him safely down in the ring. The crowd isn't happy that he saves Corino, but before he can voice his displeasure, the two comrades are again ran over by a gang attack. Aries & Kidman target Lesnar, and Petey Williams and CIMA drag Corino to the opposite corner. Petey almost has Corino out, but Corino hits a hard boot to the face and frees himself. He battles with both CIMA and Petey, dropping Petey with a DDT. Aries & Kidman nail a double suplex on Lesnar, and then Aries hits a powerbomb on Lesnar with the assist from Kidman. They back Lesnar into the ropes and attempt to lift his legs and dump him over, right in front of the entryway. CIMA tries a high kick on Corino, but Corino ducks, and nails a hard neckbreaker on CIMA. Corino spots Lesnar in trouble. He looks out to the crowd that cheers him to make the save. The corner of his mouth slowly turns up into a sly smile, and in one quick movement, he rushes towards the mass of bodies against the ropes.

Corino just dumped all 3 MEN! He did what everyone in this arena knew he would do. He turned on Brock Lesnar. Corino turns away and walks towards the fallen CIMA & Petey Williams. The crowd suddenly begins roaring as Brock Lesnar has gotten to his feet. He slams Aries & Kidman down at his sides. Corino hears the roar and turns around to see Lesnar practically foaming at the mouth at ringside. Corino's eyes grow huge as you can read his lips..."Oh Shit...". Lesnar darts under the bottom rope and runs right at Corino, who jumps over the top rope and runs through the crowd.

ELIMINATED - Steve Corino (via himself at 10:02)

Lesnar gives chase through the crowd, running over a security guard in the process. The crowd is going crazy as Corino literally runs out the front door as the camera man gives up on the chase. Lesnar follows him out the front, as the action turns back to the ring. Petey Williams and NWA: Japan's CIMA have both gotten to their feet, and look at each other, knowing they each stand in the other's way of being the first man going to Redemption. CIMA offers his hand in the center of the ring, and Petey nails a standing dropkick, flooring the Japanese superstar. Petey goes to whip CIMA off the ropes, but CIMA reverses, whipping Petey, who then goes for a headscissors, but stops himself midway, and nails a side Russian legsweep on CIMA. The Finish: Petey heads to the top rope, an unconventional move in a Battle Royal. As Petey perches on the top rope, CIMA gets to his feet and runs into the ropes, crotching Petey on the top. CIMA climbs to the middle rope and unloads with punches and kicks to Petey, attempting to push him off of the top turnbuckle. Petey has a firm grip with two hands on the support. Petey takes the barrage of kicks and slowly lets go with his left hand. It looks like he is slipping as CIMA climbs all the way to the top. Petey takes his free hand and nails a hard uppercut right to the nuts of CIMA. Petey hooks his legs in between the ropes, and pulls the dazed CIMA off the top, sending him flying to the floor below as Petey dangles by his hooked foot on the turnbuckle.

Petey Williams wins the Battlebowl Battle Royal in 13:54 and advances to Redemption for a shot at the Kansas City Border Championship (66/69/61)
Post-Match: Trish Stratus runs to the ring and jumps into Petey's arms, who raises his hand in victory as the Kansas City crowd showers him in boos.
