You're making me look bad and I haven't even started yet

jamiegeist - April 18, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Amen to that.

Should we make a preview mandatory? Keeps people interested.

SamoaRowe - April 18, 2006 08:43 PM (GMT)
I don't think they should be mandatory since some of us might be too busy to committ to making one each week, but I'd say they are highly encouraged.

Real F'n Show - April 19, 2006 12:18 AM (GMT)
Very snazzy Roweman.

Interested to see what the Fisticuffs is all about. And did you have to hype Masters and Scotty? Nice though. I'm really excited for everyone's show.

NWA Midwest Saturday Night-5/6/06

Joey Styles: WELCOME TO NWA MIDWEST SATURDAY NIGHT!!!! Tonight you're going to
get a FACEFUL of professional wrestling action, starting right NOW!!!

Match #1: William Regal vs. Monty Brown
Joey Styles: This match is part of the NWA Midwest Heavyweight Championship Tournament.
Let's take a look at the brackets and see what we've got to look forward to.

NWA Midwestern Heavyweight Championship Tournament Brackets

Monty Brown
-
William Regal

Sabu
-
Benoit

Batista
-
Raven

Abyss
-
Terry Funk

Styles: So as you can see this is going to be LOADED. Now that both men are in the
ring, lets go to the action....

Regal stretches a bit while Monty Brown looks him over. Brown and Regal lock up and
Brown pushes Regal to the mat, following with the assertion of "I'm the Alpha Male!"
Regal nods and stands. The two lock up, and Regal begins with a wrestling clinic the
likes of which Monty will learn from for ages. Monty tries to overpower Regal, but
learns that power isn't always the most important factor in wrestling.

WINNER: William Regal **1/4

Afterwards, Brown offers Regal a handshake, and Regal scoffs at the Alpha Male and walks away.

Match #2: Homicide vs. Paul London
Styles: What you are about to see is some of the most innovative, exciting and
mind blowing wrestling action you'll ever see. Head and shoulders above other divisions
which claim no limits.

The match starts with Paul London offering an innocent hand to Homicide. Homicide responds
by shaking, and then pulling London into a knee lift. The match favors Homicide,
who starts out more aggressively. It seems London was hoping for a fair and clean bout.
But Homicide isn't afraid to get dirty from the get go. Homicide gets the victory after
a cop killer.

WINNER: Homicide ***

BACKSTAGE:
Ken Kennedy announces himself, loudly, to all that wish to hear. One of those who
wished that they didn't, though, is Terry Funk. Who happens to be in the area.

Funk: "Son, I know you guys have to do things to make sure that you get seen and heard.
I understand that, I know our business is rough. But next time, try to do it somewhere else.
I ain't got much hearing left, and I sure don't want to waste it listening to
you trying to earn a spot."

Kennedy doesn't seem pleased.

Match #3: The Briscoe Brothers vs. Balls Mahoney and a partner of his choosing

The Briscoe's come down to the ring. Balls comes down by himself while we wait to see who
his partner will be, and Joey Styles says it best:

STYLES: OH MY GOD!!!! IT'S AXL ROTTEN!!!

That's right, the Chair Swinging Freaks are re-united in NWA Midwest. The Briscoe
Brothers are a bit surprised, but they're not completely out of their element.
The two teams have a GREAT brawl.

WINNERS: Chair Swinging Freaks ***

BACKSTAGE:

The following is a message brought to you by CM Punk.

CM Punk: Good Evening, everyone. My name is CM Punk. Right now you're probably
at home, watching your television and eating your junk food. You've probably got a
bottle of beer in your hand, and a pack of cigarettes laying nearby. I just want
to say thank you. Thank you for giving me something to strive for. Something to
rise above.

I am CM Punk. And I AM better than you.

Match #4:Batista vs. Raven

Styles: And now it's time for our main event, which could easily be the
main event of a Pay Per View. I'll tell you right now, Raven is a bit out of his
element, as he hasn't been able to get into Batista's head before the match. If Batista
takes advantage of this, he may be able to get the best of Raven.

The two lock up. Raven is at an obvious disadvantage, height and weight wise.
But he's not without his weapons. The two go back and forth in the match, with
Raven pulling off EVERY trick he can. But in the long run, Raven couldn't pull it off

WINNER: Batista ***

Afterwards Raven attacks the referee as the show ends.

Big F'N Swigg - April 21, 2006 02:56 AM (GMT)
I'm going to try and make sure that nothing is done as filler. I want everything to at least play a part in someone's character development

jamiegeist - April 21, 2006 04:18 AM (GMT)
In a word: WHAT THE FUCK?

What happened to real-time posting? Is it Saturday Night in your time zone or something? I thought the idea was for all of us to post our shows on the same day, so it all happened in real time.

While I'm at it, how did you pull a 4.2something with a potential audience of only 2.17?

Oh, and while I'm trying not to read your results till Saturday, I gave them a quick scan without revealing anything to myself to check your ratings system. Did you get the message I posted about displaying the match and segment ratings so we all could see comparitively how they other is doing? Something like Overall: 80, Crowd: 60, Quality: 100, for a star rating of ***. (60=*, 70=**, etc.)

Just curious about these details.

jamiegeist - April 21, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
Okay, now that I've gotten over my shellshock. Sorry, I felt like someone sent me a spoilers link that I didn't want to read. You know how it is.

I thought it would be alot more cool and interactive (and I thought this was the plan) if we all posted our shows as close to Saturday as possible. I really thought thats what the real-time comment meant. I remember asking if it was real-time as in "in the time slot" and I just assumed it meant ON the day.

Again, I just thought this would be cool. My question stands about the match/segment ratings and the 4.29 you pulled out.

Big F'N Swigg - April 21, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
The real time was meant as in the week that the show airs. If you want to wait until the day, we can try that, but I'm afraid of people not being able to post on the exact day because of work, travel, etc.

And I posted it a bit early for two reasons: 1) I wanted to be first, 2) if I rewrote some of those things any more, I was going to claw my eyes out.

jamiegeist - April 21, 2006 03:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I understand the re-writes. I'd say in the future it'd be cool if we kept it on Saturday if possible, or as close as possible. Just for fun's sake.

But what about those ratings?

Big F'N Swigg - April 21, 2006 04:25 PM (GMT)
I never thought anything of it. I don't care much for the ratings as long as my shows stay at a reasonable overall level

SamoaRowe - April 21, 2006 06:34 PM (GMT)
I'm going to post my show in a few minutes. I figure Friday night is close enough, and I'm not going to be positive if I'll have time to tomorrow.

NWA: New England Saturday Night!
May 6th 2006

The show opens with an outdoors shot of the David R. Cawley School in Hooksett, New Hampshire. A limo pulls up to the entrance and out steps none other than… The Rock! The Rock confidently strolls into the building with his luggage.

Next up a generic opening video plays. It is just crazy graphics right now, since no actual NEW footage exists… yet.

This groundbreaking first edition of NEW Saturday Night is airing live from the sold out gymnasium at the school (it’s a huge gym, believe me). 1,757 wrestling fans have crowded there way in and there is a relatively nice looking stage set up (kind of reminiscent of the one used on iMPACT!).

NEW President Ernie Rowe and local madman Professor Plague are on commentary.

Rowe: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great honor to welcome you to the first ever NEW Saturday Night! We have a jam packed show for you tonight! The Rock is here! We are expecting Mick Foley and Ric Flair at any moment! Not only that, but the first two matches in the tournament to crown the first NEW Champion will be held this evening!

Plague: That’s cool and all, but I’m really just excited about our first match of the evening. We are in for a treat.

Match 1: Gregory Helms vs Shark Boy

The match starts off slow, as Shark Boy is playing to the crowd. The kids in the audience LOVE Shark Boy. Helms loses his patience and slaps the taste out of Shark Boy, which results in a short brawl. It is not long before this turns into a fun spot-fest, with Shark Boy dominating. Unfortunately, Helms hits a Shiny Wizard out of no where and picks up the victory at 6:56.

Winner: Gregory Helms, *** (72/59/86)

Plague: And there you have it, folks. That was the greatest match in NEW history!

Rowe: At this moment, that was the only match in NEW history. Do I need to remind you that I own this company? I could fire your ass.

Plague: Whatever, its time for a commercial.

-After the break, a familiar car screeching sound blares over the speakers and the crowd goes nuts for the arrival of the hardcore legend himself, Mick Foley! Foley grabs a microphone and heads to the ring.

Foley: Before I get started, I just have to mention how great it is to be here, in Hooksett, NH! (cheap pop from the crowd). Seriously though, it is such an honor and a privilege to be a part of this company. I have wrestled all over the world, main evented Wrestlemania, and am a proud three time world champion , but this has gotta be by far the greatest… (Foley is cut off by some more familiar music).

“WHOOOOOOOOO!” blares over the speakers and out comes “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Flair has his own microphone.

Flair: Foley, I am here to save these people from your self serving crap. You like to think you are some sort of legend in this business. What exactly did you do? You fell off of a cage? You got hit over the head with a chair a few too many times with your family watching in attendance? You got retired by Triple H in your own match? Hell, your three world title reigns added up consist of less than two months! Foley, you are nothing but a glorified stunt man. You have done nothing in this business! Your career doesn’t even come close to matching that of, WHOOO, the Nature Boy! I’m the 16 time world champion, and I’m sure as hell going to be the first, whoooo, NEW Champion!

Foley: You know what, Ric, you’re right. I have had my ass kicked more times that I care to remember. I’ve been bloodied, bruised, but I’ve always come back for more. I may not have had the career you’ve had, Ric, but I did things my way and I’m pretty damn proud of what I accomplished. That’s right, I’m proud. And one of the things I’m most proud about is never once exposing saggy man boobs to the world the way you have! I’ve at least had the smarts to keep a shirt on.

Flair: We’ll see how good you look when you hit 56! Foley, you are an idiot, just like every single one of these fans. You are a disgrace and so is this promotion! You call yourself a wrestler? You embarrass me, you fat, out of shape, good for no…

Foley cuts Flair off by punching him in the face. Flair tackles Foley and they fall to the ground wrestling. Security runs out and breaks them up. (97%)

Rowe: Oh my God. Ric Flair and Mick Foley have brought their long standing hatred of each other to NEW!

Plague: We’ll be right back, after these messages.

-Chris Jericho makes his entrance to a nice face pop, but Jericho is not smiling. Jericho takes a microphone and berates the fans in attendance. Jericho says there is no reason for him to be in this ring tonight, since he is filthy rich and has done it all in wrestling. Jericho says the only reason he is here is because he does not feel he is rich enough. Jericho’s rant is cut off by Sonjay Dutt’s music and the match is on! (100%).

Match 2: Chris Jericho vs Sonjay Dutt (Opening Round tournament match)

This is a fast paced match from bell to bell. Jericho dominates Dutt in the early going, even going for the cocky pin. Dutt fires back with some offense, even managing to hit the sprinkler. Dutt gets a near fall on Jericho, but almost being pinned fires Jericho up. Jericho hits a nasty lionsault and locks Dutt into the Walls of Jericho. Dutt taps out at 4:20, and Jericho leaves the hold on well past the bell. He only lets go when the referee threatens to reverse the decision.

Winner: Chris Jericho, *** (80/76/84)

Match 3: Steve Corino vs JBL (Opening Round Tournament Match)

JBL and Corino put on a rest heavy match up. Corino works the neck and wrist of JBL for several minutes, before JBL clobbers back with some fallaway slams. JBL hits the Clothesline from Hell, but Corino gets his foot on the ropes during the cover. JBL removes the padding from a turnbuckle and goes to slingshot Corino into it. Corino reverses and drops JBL chest first on the bare turnbuckle. JBL is easy prey for the Old School Expulsion, as Corino pins him at 7:00.

Winner: Steve Corino, ** (77/80/72)

-“If you SMEEEEEEEEEELL… what the ROCK… is COOKING” blares over the speakers and The Rock is in the house! Rock takes a microphone and addresses the crowd.

Rock: Finally… the Rock HAS COME to… Hooksett. A lot of people have come up to The Rock and asked “Rock, why have you come back to wrestling? What happened to Hollywood?” The truth is, The Rock has had a lot of fun in Hollywood, The Rock has made a lot of friends, and The Rock has made his fortunes. But Hollywood and The Rock were not a perfect fit. When the Rock is in the studio, The Rock cannot hear the cheers of the millions (and millions) of The Rock’s fans. Unlike that monkey-loving sonovabitch Chris Jericho, The Rock isn’t here for money. The Rock is here because The Rock loves entertaining his fans. The Rock also… (The Rock is cut off by some unfamiliar music. Sonny Siaki appears on the stage, holding a microphone).

Siaki: You know something, Rock, why don’t you spare us your crap. You come out here and badmouth Chris Jericho as if you’re better than him. We all know why you’re here, Rock. You are here because your movies suck and Hollywood doesn’t want you anymore!

Rock: Who in the blue hell are you?

Siaki: My name is Sonny Sia…

The Rock: IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS! You say Hollywood doesn’t want The Rock? You say Chris Jericho is better than The Rock? The Rock says you can take your outlandish theories, your imaginative rumors, and shove them straight up your candy ass! Let The Rock tell you one thing, Sonny boy, The Rock may have been away from the ring for a good long while, but the Rock can still kick your rudy-poo monkey ass all the way from Manchester to Seattle and not break a sweat. So in closing, all The Rock has to say is… just bring it.

Sonny Siaki charges the ring but quickly suffers a rock bottom. The Rock poses over the fallen Sonny Siaki and takes the microphone one last time.

The Rock: If you smell… what the Rock… is cooking. (83%)

Match 4: Kane And Big Show vs Team 3D

Kane and Big Show are playing the role of wacky tag team partners who hate each other. Team 3D dominates in the early going, as they isolate Big Show by targeting his knee. Show is at the point where he can’t put any weight on his left knee. There is a commercial break during a Brother Devon leg lock spot. After the break, Big Show catches both members of Team 3D and goes for a double chokeslam, but his knee gives out. Luckily, Show manages to fall into Kane’s corner and makes the tag. Kane cleans house on Team 3D and hits a mean chokeslam on Brother Ray for the win at 12:00. After the match, Kane mocks Big Show over his injury. Team 3D are pissed off and set up a table in the ring. Kane stands back and lets them put Big Show through the table with the 3D!

Winners: Big Show and Kane, **3/4. 83/85/79

Rowe: What a night we have had! Chris Jericho and Steve Corino have both advanced in the NEW Championship tournament!

Plague: That main event kicked all types of ass too.

Rowe: Don’t forget to tune in next week! I have been informed that the NEW title tournament will continue with the next two opening round matches!

Plague: Not only that, but The Rock will take on Sonny Siaki!

Rowe: And what will Ric Flair and Mick Foley have to say in response to their brawl from earlier tonight?

Plague: You cannot afford to miss the second action packed episode of NEW Saturday Night! Good night, folks!

OVERALL SHOW: 85%
We got a 2.10 rating for 'NWA New England'!
The attendance level was 1757 people.
We made $52710 from ticket sales.

Quick idea. Maybe we should post our shows in our individual Territory thread for the purposes of commenting on them. We could post em here too as well, but it'd be nice for a place to comment on each show individually. Just a thought.

NWA Central States Wrestling presents....
CSW Cyclone Saturday Night

May 06, 2006
Announcers: Joey Styles & Tazz
Kansas City Uptown Theatre

Ring Announcer Howard Finkel started the show in the ring.

Finkel: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the premiere of CSW Cyclone Saturday Night. Your opening contest is scheduled for one fall, and is the Cyclone Spotlight Match!

Chris Sabin v Brent Albright
Heated back and forth matchup between the two youngsters. Sabin rattled off much of his high-flying moveset, but Albright stayed with him. Nice sequence in the middle where Albright attempted a delayed suplex, but Sabin fell behind and nailed a German Suplex with a bridge for a near fall. Finish came when Sabin went for the Cradle Shock, but this time Albright slipped behind him, and dropped him to the mat into the crowbar (his version of the Fujiwara Armbar). Sabin tapped out. Crowd was a little dead at the lack of star power to open the show. After the match, both wrestlers exchanged a handshake in the middle of the ring to applause.

Albright defeats Sabin by submission. * (60/44/77)

Styles: Great opening match by these two youngsters. I look forward to big things from them in the future.

In-Ring Segment: Hail to the Chief
Shane Douglas made his way to the ring to scattered ECW chants.

Douglas: NWA fans! CSW fans! WRESTLING fans! It is my honor at this time, to introduce to you, the man selected by NWA Central States wrestling as the President of this company, that will lead us into a new standard of excellence in professional wrestling.....

The Excellence of Execution, Bret “Hitman” Hart

Bret Hart came to ringside to a nice reaction from the live crowd. After they calmed down and stopped chanting, he grabbed the microphone:

Hart: Well I said you’d probably never see me in a wrestling ring again unless Vince McMahon went out of business. Who’d have thunk it huh? Well, it is truly and honor and a privilege to be here, and be part of something that I really believe in. NWA Central States wrestling fully intends on being the leading territory in the NWA and the revolution and revitalizing of the professional wrestling industry.

How did you all like that opening match that Chris Sabin and Brent Albright put on? (scattered cheers) Well good, because that was the introduction of our first segment, the Cyclone Spotlight. Every week, we’ll kick off the show with the Cyclone Spotlight, and two wrestlers will go one on one. It’s a winner-stays situation. The winner of the match will return next week on Cyclone, and return to the Cyclone Spotlight matchup to take on a new competitor who tries to make a name for himself. What better way than leading off Cyclone Saturday Night to make yourself known in this industry.

Now, on to more business. The decision to come back into wrestling as part of a television show wasn’t an easy one for me. But when the owners of this territory came to me with their idea, it was just too perfect for me to turn it away. It is my honor, at this time, to announce the first ever Owen Hart Memorial Tournament. (Thunderous applause)

This tournament will begin tonight, and will crown our first Central States Wrestling Champion. Over the next two weeks we will have first round matchups, followed by the Quarterfinal Matchups the week after. The semi-finals and Finals will take place at CWS’ first Supershow, entitled Blaze of Glory. This show will emanate, appropriately, from Kemper Arena right here in Kansas City, on Tuesday Night, May 23rd. Tickets go on sale immediately following the show tonight, and for those of you who can’t make it, a DVD will be made available showcasing the entire memorable night.

Now I’ve talked long enough out here, so let me quickly tell you just what you’ll be seeing tonight. Our first 4 matches in the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament to crown our CWS Champion. You’ll see Samoa Joe going one on one with James Gibson. Roderick Strong faces off with the Road Dogg, Jesse James, and in our main event, Charlie Hass goes face to face with ”The Game”, Triple H!

But let’s get it started right now with the first match of the tournament.

(76)

1st Round Tournament Match: Alex Shelley v X-pac
All tournament matches will have a 15 minute time limit. Shelley and X-pac’s quick strike styles matched up well together here. Shelley in particular looked very impressive, hitting all his signature spots while playing to the crowd and drawing a great reaction. Shelley worked a chinlock as X-pac battled out and hit a back suplex, laying both men out on the mat. X-pac regained control and set Shelley up for the Bronco Buster. Shelley was able to move out of the way, and X-pac was laid out. Shelley climbed to the top turnbuckle, and launched him self off at X-pac as he got to his feet. Shelley nailed the crossbody block, but X-pac was able to roll through and score the 3 count!

X-pac defeats Shelley by pinfall. **1/4 (74/62/86)
Post-match: After the match, X-pac offered his hand to Shelley, obviously impressed. Shelley grabbed his hand, but yanked X-pac forward and nailed the Shellshock (Flatliner) before leaving to a chorus of boos.

Styles: Great match there from two guys with similar styles, but I could have done without the unnecessary post-match attack by Shelley.

Qualifying CWS Tag Team Title Match: The Mexicools v Jindrak & O’Haire
It was announced that the winner of this match would advance to Blaze of Glory on May 23rd to wrestle for the CSW Tag Team Titles. Great Match here. Jindrak and O’Haire didn’t miss a beat being teamed up again, and actually looked quite good, mixing their shooting backgrounds with their wrestling. The announcers really put over their work in MMA and how it has helped them become more aggressive in the ring. The Mexicools were crazy over, and showcased their high flying skills. A hot, fast match that would’ve been even better on a bigger stage. The finish came with Crazy and Psicosis hit a double dropkick on O’Haire on the apron, sending him to the floor. They then nailed Jindrak in the center of the ring with the Total Elimination (High kick to the front, low kick to the back) before ascending opposite turnbuckles and coming off with a Psicosis Legdrop and a Crazy Moonsault for the win.

The Mexicools defeat Jindrak & O’Haire by pinfall. *** (80/68/93)

Tazz: What a match there. Jindrak and O’Haire had almost no ring rust, and the Mexicools just looked great as well. I wouldn’t mind seeing that one again.

1st Round Tournament Match: Samoa Joe v James Gibson
The crowd was pretty burnt out after the last match, and Joe and Gibson didn’t help much. Their styles really didn’t seem to mesh together well here, but they worked it out. Both exchanges heated chops in the opening moments, and Gibson played face here, staying away from the bigger Joe for most of the match. Joe came very close to locking in the Kokina Clutch a few times, but Gibson continued to escape. Finish came when Gibson took control and was setting Joe up for a Tornado DDT. As Gibson jumped off the ropes, Joe spun him all the way around, setting back up on the top rope. Joe then gave him a vicious right hand, and put him up for the Musclebuster. He nailed it, and then locked in the Kokina Clutch on the prone Gibson for the tapout.

Samoa Joe defeats James Gibson by submission. * (62/48/77)
Post-Match: After referee Charles Robinson called for the bell, Joe still wouldn’t break the hold. He kept it locked on Gibson, who was lifeless by now. The referee tried prying him off, but it didn’t help. The referee shouted something at Joe, and went to call for the bell again, but Joe let go and walked away.

Styles: Wow, impressive display of aggressiveness and raw power by Samoa Joe. I’m officially a believer, and I’m officially frightened by that man

Backstage Segment: “The Game” prepares to play
Triple H is walking through the backstage area, warming himself up for his match tonight. He comes along Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, who seem to be talking strategy in the corner of the hallway.
Triple H: Well hey there fellas. You guys having a little meeting on how to go about winning this little tournament? You know, I checked the brackets, and the Superfriends, that’s you two, would have to meet each other in the finals of this tournament. Luckily I’m here, so you won’t have to worry about that, cause there’s no way your ass is getting by me tonight, you hear me Haas?
Shelton: Go on Charlie, go get ready. Triple H, I got news for you. You aren’t the Big Man on Campus anymore. This isn’t the WWE. And your daddy doesn’t run things around here. The playing field is finally level for you, me, and the rest of the Central States roster. I know that has to have you just shaking in your boots. Now, I know you’re a hell of a talented wrestler, but just how good are you when it’s all about just that: wrestling. This is Central States, where we’re making the old school new agai—
Triple H: Yeah yeah Benjamin, I’ve heard the stupid slogan about 50 times already. Making the old school new again. Well guess what, I AM the old school. And I AM the new school. That’s what all you young guys don’t get. A change of scenery doesn’t make me any less of The Man. I am still the most talented wrestler on the face of this planet, and I intend to prove it each and every night. But don’t forget, I’m still the meanest, smartest, ruthless son of a bitch on this planet, and I WILL prove that to you every night. Now I hope you gave Haas some good pointers on how to hover in the midcard, cause I gotta get going to my Main Event match.

1st Round Tournament Match: Road Dogg v Roderick Strong
Suprisingly good match here from a clash of styles. Road Dogg had the crowd eating out of his hand for most of the match, and continually outsmarted Strong. Strong took control after a neckbreaker on Road Dogg, and showed a nice vicious streak in the middle, hitting a combination of backbreakers and going to a submission with a Bow and Arrow. Road Dogg reached the ropes for the break. Strong and Road Dogg then fought over a suplex, with Road Dogg eventually winning. As he took Strong up, Strong dropped behind Road Dogg, and then pushed him into the ropes, where they then both rolled backwards into a pinning combination. The referee got to 2 before Road Dogg grabbed a handful of tights and pulled Strong over to give Road Dogg the 3 count!

Road Dogg defeats Roderick Strong by pinfall. *1/2 (67/57/78)
Post-Match: Strong looked at the referee in disbelief as Road Dogg just looked at him and gave a shrug of the shoulder. Strong then rolled to the outside, hands on his head. He really couldn’t believe what just happened.

Tazz: This kid just got outsmarted by a guy that’s been around a little longer. Nothing to be ashamed of in that. I was impressed by Roderick Strong, but he still has a hell of alot to learn before he is gonna beat a guy like the Road Dogg.

Strong looked over at Tazz, having heard what he just said. Strong made his way closer to Tazz and looked to say “Oh, I don’t have it huh?”. Tazz slowly stood up out of his chair and attempted to explain himself, when Strong slapped the headset right off of his head. Tazz took his glasses off and started unbuttoning his dress coat when Styles talked him into sitting back down. Strong made his way out, with an angry, yet satisfied, look on his face.

1st Round Tournament Match: Triple H v Charlie Haas
Largest crowd reaction of the night came for Triple H and this match. Good match here as well, as Triple H immediately targeted the knee of Charlie Haas. Hass battled back though, out wrestling Triple H and taking him to the ground where he worked on a vicious headlock. Triple H turned the tide back his way when he sent Haas face first into the corner, and then clipped the knee from behind. Triple H set up a figure four, but Haas pushed him off as he spun around, and sent him into the turnbuckle, where Triple H stumbled out right into a small package for a very near fall. Hass then grabbed Triple H around the waist and nailed a German Suplex. He attempted to bridge for the pin, but his knee gave out on him. As both men got to their feet, Haas was favoring the knee so much, he left himself open to a kick right to the stomach, and Triple H nailed the Pedigree for the win.

Triple H defeats Charlie Haas by pinfall **1/2 (76/77/74)
Post-Match: Triple H was jawing with the crowd as Haas got to his feet. Triple H viciously clipped his knee from behind and continued assaulting the knee. He dragged Haas to the corner of the ring and slid under the bottom rope. Triple H then wrapped Haas’ knee around the post a few times, and then locked in the Figure 4 Leglock around the ring post. Haas screamed in pain as Triple H held on to the hold. Shelton Benjamin came running down to the ringside area, but Triple H released the hold and backed away from Haas with his hands in the air. Shelton checked on Charlie Haas at the camera faded out.

Quick idea. Maybe we should post our shows in our individual Territory thread for the purposes of commenting on them. We could post em here too as well, but it'd be nice for a place to comment on each show individually. Just a thought.

The idea behind posting the shows in one thread is basically so we all have a single thread to go to. This helps us keep track of who is posting shows, and it also helps us read each others shows without having to jump back and forth in the forum

smkelly13 - April 22, 2006 03:31 AM (GMT)
Fuck. I thought we were posting these on Saturday mornings ?

That's when I'll have mine up.

jamiegeist - April 22, 2006 06:17 AM (GMT)
I love the idea of POSTING the threads here for easy reading. It'd be nice if they were also in everyone's individual folder, as thats where I'll be leaving you feedback (as I hope you do for me as well).

NWA:PTL © Saturday Night Mayhem ©

The lights inside the building turn on, and start to flicker. Huge amounts of pyrotechnics explode as the NWA:PTL announcers Joey Styles and Mike Tenay welcome you to the inaugural NWA:PTL television show.

The NWA:PTL Owner, CEO, head booker, and one hell of a bad ass,

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f363/sea...SUPERDRAGON.jpg

comes to the ring, with microphone already in hand. “Welcome ladies and gentlemen in attendance, and those of you watching around the world, welcome to NWA:PTL. Before I start, allow me to introduce myself, for those of you who do not already know who I am, I’m the Super Dragon. I’m a head dropping, double foot stomping, psycho driving son of a bitch. So, don’t cross me, or I’ll spike you on top of your head. Now then, let’s get down to business. Since the collapse of the World Wrestling Entertainment, NWA:TNA, and Ring of Honor, and along with all of the other wrestling companies, due to being bought out by the recently wealthy National Wrestling Alliance, and the NWA board of directors deciding to open up several territories, such as this one. The VIPS needed a hardcore, bad ass, yet cool owner to take up the Florida project. Well, the moral of the story is simple, I am that man ! I’m still pissed about having to move from California though. But, that’s another story, for another time. Let’s get right down to business, tonight is the first showing of NWA: Pushing the Limits. And, I promise to deliver some awesome action tonight, it’ll make you come back next week, or make sure to be home early on Saturday to watch my show. Tonight, we will have a four way tag team elimination to determine the NEW Tag Team champions of the NWA:PTL, as well as a thirty man, over the top rope battle royal to determine the NEW Heavyweight champion. You’ll be seeing wrestlers like Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Rob Van Dam, the Necro Butcher, MNM, and many, many others. Hell, you’ll be lucky enough to see yours truly in singles action tonight, and then participate in the battle royal. Don’t worry folks, I’m no Vince McMahon. Enough said. Peace.”

Match #1
Tag Team, Elimination for the Tag Team championships
Havana Pitbulls vs. Stampede Bulldogs vs. MNM w/ Cheerleader Melissa vs. the Hardy Boyz

• A action packed, high intensity match-up. The Bulldogs and Pitbulls focused on each other throughout the entire match, and even after being eliminated. MNM and the Hardy’s were a natural clash.
• The Pitbulls were eliminated first by the Bulldogs, after an impressive maneuver by TJ Wilson hit the Code Blue on Ricky Reyes from the top rope onto Rocky Romero for the pin, and the elimination.
• The Bulldogs were eliminated four minutes later after TJ Wilson sustains the snapshot after the Pitbulls pushed him off the top rope.
• After the Bulldogs elimination, they brawled with the Pitbulls to the backstage area, road agents and security eventually separated the two angry tag teams.
• MNM and the Hardy Boyz wrestled for another nine minutes after the Bulldogs elimination.
• They played to their strengths well, the road agents all agree that they work very well together.
• In the end, the Hardy’s experience is just too much for the much younger team, and they succumb to the Falling Fate.

“Medal” sounds, and the Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle makes his way down to the ring. Kurt poses for a few seconds in mid ring, and soaks up the cheers and the “You Suck” chants. Kurt grabs a mic: “I sure miss that. It motivates me to prove you all wrong, each and every night. I DO NOT SUCK. I am the ONLY Olympic Gold medal winner in the history of professional wrestling. I am a multiple time WWF and WWE World Heavyweight champion, I was the WCW World Heavyweight champion, the Intercontinental champion, European champion, Euro-continental champion, tag team champion, hardcore champion, King of the Ring, I’ve made them all tap out. I am the greatest professional wrestler alive today, or any day. That’s right. Lou Thesz couldn’t hold a candle to me, either could Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, the Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, no one. I am the best, and you all know it ! And, you will show me the respect I deserve god dammit. And just to prove how great I am, I am guaranteeing victory tonight in the thirty man, over the top rope battle royal. Lillian - “What are your plans now ?”

Matt - “Well, Lillian, since you asked, I’ll tell you what the Hardy Boyz plans are. We will continue to win tag team matches, defend this titles are over the place, and keep on keeping on being the best tag team today. But, we have plans for tonight.”

This will just be another challenge that I will overcome, and it will just add to my already hall of fame resume. I have a few goals for the battle royal. One, win. Two, prove that I am still the showstopper, and the only main event here. Three, kick Kurt Angle’s you know what. I am so sick of his mouth. I beat him in the WWE, and I’ll do it again tonight, when I superkick him over the top rope.”

• Final Four: Kurt Angle, Bryan Danielson, Matt Hardy, Necro Butcher.
• After Finlay’s elimination he continued his attack on the Butcher, who gets distracted, and is eliminated by Matt Hardy via top rope missile dropkick.
• Danielson and Angle are exchanging mat holds. Hardy comes out of nowhere with a double clothesline knocking both men down hard.
• Hardy goes to dump Angle, but Angle uses his superior strength and wrestling skills and fireman carries Hardy right over the top rope !
• It’s down to Angle and Danielson.

So we're about to hit the deadline (at least for you crazy East Coasters) and move on to Sunday with 2 territories' debut TV show still MIA.

The NWA must be livid!

I'd give DK leeway, but who are we missing?

jamiegeist - April 23, 2006 06:45 AM (GMT)
Ummm, Plague's Mid-Atlantic?

Unless I somehow went retarded? But I'm about 90% sure I haven't seen a thing from him.

NWA: Mid-Atlantic's Saturday Night Flood
Commentary by Jim Ross and Bobby Heenan.

Scott Hall is backstage, when Kevin Nash comes over.
Hall: Hey yo’.
Nash: Hey.
Hall: So chico, I’ve been thinking. You remember the old days when we had fun wrecking WCW?
Nash: Yeah, those were the good ole’ days.
Hall: So, why don’t we do it here in Mid-Atlantic.
Nash: Striaght to the point as always, Scott.
Hall: But a good point.
Nash: Such a good idea in fact, what say you to having a tag match against one tag who wants to take us.
Hall: Brilliant. Who and where is the Commish around here?

Commissioner Bobby Heenan catches up with Hall and Nash.
Heenan: Hall, Nash…no need to call out anyone - I’ll make the match for you. Tonight you will be wrestling The Backseat Men in a tag team match. Enjoy boys, and congrats on bringing The Outsiders back together again. And after that, we’re going to get the Fisticuffs Tournament started to decide our first Mid-Atlantic champion. So, get out there and get that match done.

You can come to the ring with your fork. Hell, you can come to the ring with a knife, fork, spoon – bring the entire flatware set; either way, I’m not going to lose this match, and I’m going to take this Fisticuffs tournament by storm, brother! I hope you’ve taken you vitamins and said you prayers bother! Because watcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you!
