I've been really annoyed at all the shit he's been receiving this year. I'm no Cowboys fan by any means but those takedown tackles are completely 100% legal. What's he supposed to do? Just let the guy run another 40 yards for a TD or grab him by his collar and drag him down. Just because a couple of guys got hurt doesn't mean you should start talking about fining or banning the move. If you ban that people are going to make worse tackles from behind than a collar takedown.

If the guy is THAT vicious on the field with his tackles... make me an NFL coach and I'll sign the bastard in half a second. Football is a tough man sport. If these pansies can't stand being driven into the ground they should've chosen an easy sport, like figure skating or tennis.

Yea. The same thing with the "leaving the feet" rule or the "driving into the ground" rule. I can understand protecting the kicker, he's in a awkward position. Long snappers, too. They have their heads down. Even kick returners. But QBs and people carrying the ball are gonna get hit. It's the point of the game. Toughen the fuck up.
