Kane/Show vs. Spirit Squad for the Titles... FUCK. They better not job Kane to these fucking losers.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 01:29 AM (GMT)
Well, at least Kane didn't job, but FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!! Let's just ignore these 5 queers have zero heat and give them the belts anyway.

Big F'N Swigg - April 4, 2006 01:35 AM (GMT)
QUEERING DON'T MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND, SPIRIT SQUAD!!!

Mad Dog - April 4, 2006 03:50 AM (GMT)
You know..... just once I'd like for the Wrestlemania main event to actually be the end of something and not have an automatic rematch at Backlash.

That's been a problem I've had with them for a couple of years now.

Son of a bitch, the first half hour or so of RAW was great.

The opening promo was great. And Cena acting like a little cock is just awesome. Triple H and Edge coming out and taking shots is just so fun too.

And of course, my moment of the fuckin YEAR so far, and the first thing to get a mark out from me since Jannetty made that run in......and this mark out was much bigger -- NEW TAG CHAMPS!!!! Spirit Squad babay!

Rest of the show was alright. Can't believe Vince-Shawn isnt over. And I really can't believe HBK is going on with this shit now that Vince seems to want to play the God card.

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 05:02 AM (GMT)
Oh, and I just read Scrooge's complaints.

Are you crazy about the Spirit Squad being heatless? Don't start talking like a mindless idiot again Scrooge. Those guys are very over, and people are into it, big time.

Besides, if anything you should be happy that crutch is off of Kane so he can have an actual storyline or something now.

I know it's a longstanding tradition, but man....does anyone else feel a little cheated when someone retains at Wrestlemania and loses the next night?

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:04 AM (GMT)
Please describe "over" in their case.

For the last month, you can hear crickets chirping during their matches, and their back and forth conversations are clearer to listen to than promos using microphones.

Maybe you're right though... I do hate them alot, so either they're playing good annoying heels, or I just don't like them period.

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 05:07 AM (GMT)
First off, on the crickets.....no you cant. I just can't answer it any simpler. They're getting just as good a reaction in their matches as anyone else in the mid-card, including your bitch-boy Kane. Sure, overall he gets a bigger pop for his entrance and his "hold my hand up here to chokeslam you" thing, but thats it.

And they ARE playing annoyingly good heels. AND the announcers are putting them over correctly, calling them great athletes, and the probably future of the company, and all that jazz.

And I don't wanna be the one to tell you the tooth fairy isn't real......but the reason you can hear their back and forth convos just as good as their promos is because they're........shhhhhh.......wearing microphones on their faces.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)
... Okay, so I over-looked something. I still think they're annoying as fuck and should be thrown into the bowels of Internet Night Heat. :D

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 05:11 AM (GMT)
Of course they're annoying as fuck.

Its the point. They're male cheerleaders.

They're names (almost) all end in "ey".

C'mon Scroogey. Join the squad.

Oh.....and wait. Who the fuck was that big samoan douchebag? I thought maybe we were getting Punk. But no.....a big samoan douchebag.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:13 AM (GMT)
I refuse to join anything that goes over Kane. But like you said, at least this frees him up to move to Smackdown and squash Rey Jr. for the belt. (sings happily)

And yes, who the fuck was that Fat Samoan Douchebag™? And who was the rejected cast member from Scarface yelling at Flair?

If Kane squashes Rey for the belt, I'm blaming Scrooge.

Fat Samoan Douchbag = Jamal

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
If Kane squashes Rey for the belt, it'll be the most glorious day in wrestling. Birds will be singing, dogs will be humping, terrorists will be killing, and everyone here will throw me into a bottomless pit.

It'll be much worse than a bottomless pit. It will be me kidnapping you and throwing you into Triple H's mansion from a moving car.

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
Jamal? Damn, that fool slimmed down.

And I like Armando Alejandro Estrada. I had watched some of his shit in OVW on youtube, and it was probably a good idea for them to take the "Osama" out of his name.

Pretty disapointed re-debut though, as he just looks like a big crazy samoan.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)

I would NEVER have guessed that was Jamal. Maybe I'm just unobservant.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:21 AM (GMT)
That was obviously Jamal... he sucked enough.

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 05:22 AM (GMT)
He sucked......back in the day? Or sucked tonight?

I actually thought it might have been him, but I thought the guy was just too small, so I let it go.

Scrooge McSuck - April 4, 2006 05:30 AM (GMT)
We've only seen him with heavy clothes on, so it's naturally not to recognize him half-naked.

Cage Classic - April 4, 2006 06:14 AM (GMT)
The opening segment was awesome. Triple H, Edge and Cena all were comedic gold and though it went a bit longer than I would have liked it to seen, but it was pretty entertaining. I laughed out loud more than once. This is the Triple H that I like to see, and this is the Triple H that he needs to revert back to. The comedic, yet still serious DX that he was in 2000 during the McMahon-Helmsley era. The little exchange between him and Edge was goldage, and the delivery of all the insults were dead on. I expected the Cena turn to take place right then and there when he said he was going to tuck tail and run, but he instead came back in and accepted the challenge. I am begging for a Cena heel turn. Things need to be freshened up with his character, and he's been getting booed for months. A heel turn needs to happen now while it's still a good time to do so. However, if this doesn't set up a Triple Threat match at Backlash, then consider me disappointed.

Spirit Squad winning the Tag Team Titles was only semi shocking as I expected them to win it, but not so soon and not the way that they did. From this, we'll probably get a Kane/Show rematch clause and match at Backlash. This match was nothing special, but it was what it was. * is all it gets from me.

The RVD promo sounded forced, but if anything, we now know he'll cash it in at One Night Stand, because he all but confirmed it in the promo. Consider me unhyped for it. I mean, I am not the biggest RVD fan, but I just don't think him winning the title at One Night Stand is a good idea.

Masters squash only served purpose for the Carlito face turn, which I would have been a lot more excited for had someone not spoiled it for me beforehand, but it was done effectively, I thought. It's been about 3 or 4 months overdue as he's been getting cheered for a while now. He's got that Rock like charisma, and I'd like to see these two battle it out, and have Carlito go after Shelton for the IC Title again, this time as the face. However, Carlito using the Lungblower was awesome. I love that move. The beatdown owned, and the crowd's reaction was classic. The apple was a nice touch, even though I think it was more actual spit than anything. Carlito/Masters should be a decent midcard match at Backlash and the feud should be interesting, otherwise.

I thought the Shawn Michaels promo was going well, and Michaels was pretty funny. Saying that Vince's orange toned body, and such wasn't going to be seen. It was going good until Michaels wouldn't even say "ass", instead, censoring himself. Shane coming out should have led to Michaels and Shane at Backlash, but we're al mistaken. VKM comes out, and his facial expressions, gold as always. LMFAO @ Shane's face in Vince's "rectal cavity". I'll say it once again; VKM may be losing it creatively (for the most part) but he still is a damn good on screen character. HBK going old school with the Suck It chant was classic, and I am PRAYING that they keep HBK as old school DX. VKM has truly lost it thought, with booking God in a match. Also, calling Shane the product of his semen was kinda weird. I think even Shane was confused at that. God and Michaels. *sigh* What I don't get about this is that:

1.) I am confused that this is actually continuing, as it had the perfect ending at WrestleMania.

2.) You'd think that this would go against Shawn's Christian beliefs, so it's just kinda leaving me befuddled.

Anyway...

The Women's Tag Team match was pretty much a given, though I seriously don't want to ever see Candice and Torrie in a match or feud again, ever. I am so sick of Candice. I seriously thought that Mickie turning into Trish was great. She completely pulled a Single White Female and it was fucking awesome. Glad to see this feud continuing, and this is another step in the right direction. Fucking awesome. Luckily, it was kept short, and the Mick Kick ending the match was good. Mickie James is seriously the MVP of Raw, and has been for a couple of months. Mickie screaming "This Is Mine, Not Yours!" was a nice touch, and Mickie's facial expressions are almost Vince like. I won't rate the match, but I'll be damned if they didn't strike gold with this feud.

The Hall of Fame footage made me realize how much of an asshole Bret Hart was for not going to WrestleMania to wave to the fans. Get off of your freaking high horse, guy and do what's right. Whatever.

The Chavo promo was actually the first time they chanted for Chavo and not Eddie. I knew when he said that he got this Intercontinental Title shot, and dedicated it to Eddie and got everyone all pumped, that he would do what he said he wouldn't; Disappoint. Shelton's new look is pretty good, as he needed a little spice. The match was pretty exciting for the time it was given, and with the crowd behind Chavo. Seeing him apologize to Eddie was a nice touch. Having Chavo quit over it makes me believe that they'll bring him back with a fire lit under his ass. The emotion he showed, I believe is real considering what they've done. I'll give the actual match ** for being decent.

Flair promo was going nowhere, so you knew something was going to happen. The Osama guy from OVW debuted, cutting a Scott Hall-esque promo. He called Flair an pendejo, lmfao. It seemed like he was trying to cut a Scott Hall promo in Flair form. Flair asking if he raised his voice at him was hilarious. And he called him a border jumper. Greatness. So Jamal from 3 Minute Warning debuts under a new gimmick and destroys Ric Flair. Now, I have two thoughts on this pointless ass segment.

1.) Two weeks ago, they fired Rosey. Now, they bring in Jamal with a new gimmick. What they should have done is just reformed 3 Minute Warning and brought back Bischoff as their mouthpiece. The Tag Team Division needs some Tag Teams, and 3 Minute Warning could have been the ones to dethrone Kane and Show instead of the Spirit Squad.

2.) I hope this doesn't lead to a Flair/Jamal feud.

The Edge/Trips stuff was good, and it's obvious they're going with a Triple Threat, and that's the best move. The look Triple H gave Edge as he and Lita walked away was classic. What I didn't get was how they had Triple H come out to the awesome new theme music at the beginning of the show, then had him come out to "The Game" for the match. The new song > The Game. Anyway, match wasn't destined to be anything special considering it started at 11:02. Triple H's strategy was great, just sitting there. Edge busting out the Edgecution, or as Styles called it; The COD (Concussion on Delivery) was neat. I like that. Edge spearing Triple H was basically the contract signing for the Backlash main event. Triple H turning on Edge was almost a face turn, I thought. Shoulda been the DQ, but Triple H getting the Pedigree on Cena and the win was a perfect way to end the night. I hope it's safe to say that Triple H is a face now. The match was either * or *1/2 in terms of match quality, but in terms of entertainment, I'd give it a **.

The Bottom Line: This show was a pretty decent show for a Post Mania, as big event stuff needs to happen for the most part. We saw a title change, a face turn, a debut, and hopefully another face turn. I am interested and dare I say, excited to see a Triple Threat feud forming for Backlash, and the ending to the show was a good one. Shoulda ended Mania, but go figure. I'll give this show a **3/4, but only because I am unsure on whether or not Triple H is a face or not. He needs to be, that's for sure.

Big F'N Swigg - April 4, 2006 01:53 PM (GMT)
I really hated HHH's new music. It was bad. As was that gay ass looking skull with a crown on it.

Osama sounded like a Hispanic Flair. I could've swore that he was going to call himself the Cuban Nature Boy. Can he wrestle? Because I'd rather see him wrestle than Jamal the Samoan Tattoo Machine

jamiegeist - April 4, 2006 03:41 PM (GMT)
I don't think he wrestles, no. Just a mouthpeice.

And I was feeling a bit indifferent about the new music and shit for Triple H.

Above all, this night felt fun, mainly because of all the shades of Grey. Triple H got the biggest pop of the night for dropping Cena's ass with the pedigree. It all just really reminds me of 96-97 when you had Austin getting cheers as a heel, DX getting a small contingent growing for them as heels, The Harts being heels in America but faces everywhere else, and on and on. I love the shades of grey, and it makes for the hottest crowds in years.

My reaction for Singh/Undertaker:

Big F'N Swigg - April 8, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Dude, Singh looks freaky.

And how are they going to put on Angle/Orton if Orton is suspended?

Scrooge McSuck - April 8, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
Job him out then kick him off the show. When you're fucking someone over, you do it to the extreme. Don't be surprised if Blandy does the clean job to Funaki.

True, there is nothing more that Shawn believes in than his Christian's beliefs...except his beliefs in making the ole might dollar.

One thing to remember about Shawn Michaels, he a good Christian -- when it's marketable. Molly Holly was a devout Christian, but people never heard about it because it was marketable with her.

That's "Almighty" dollar, there, plague.

And I don't think they've necessarily done anything that's seen as blasphemous or sacreligious. Unless you include HHH being the "King of Kings." If God does the job to Vinny & Shane-O-Mac, then yeah, I'll have a real problem

Holy crap.

London and Kendrick v MNM was awesome. Crowd was hot. I bought about 4 different near falls, and even my wife was cheering for the faces and marked out for the win.

I was loving everything in that match, and Mercury and Nitro are the shit.

I really hate asking this...

But PLEASE tell me that this thing with Kane isn't leading to Katie Vick Part II. IT CAN'T BE! IT JUST CAN'T BE!

Edit: While reviewing the show, I noticed that Kane went crazy on everyone. I smell a Kane push (dances).

jamiegeist - April 11, 2006 05:02 AM (GMT)
The backstage Kane thing was absolutely absurd. I suspend my disbelief for quite a few things, but you just can't have a worker wandering around and "hearing voices" and have us hearing those same voices.

Him going crazy at the end of the tag match was quite nice though. Big Show really helped with his pleas and conversation he was having with him.

And fuckin Nicky had me dying. The way he would scream like a little bitch whenever he took a move, including Kane's chokeslam. Those guys are the shit.

How ARE they shit? They made your boy look like a million bucks in a match that was ENTIRELY too long.

That was honestly the worst RAW I've seen in a LOOOOOOOOOONG time......and that's coming from someone that usually thinks RAW is bad.
